This place is geek heaven. The staff has always friendly and the staff are very knowledgeable about their products. I am a nerd and my husband is the king of geeks. This is the only place we will go even though it is almost an hour away.
Amazing Place. Big Mike was helpful and he was very knowledgeable. He guide me to make the right purchase.
Professional and straight to the point.Last Saturday (for the first time) Ive visited this location. Mr Tom.after learning what are my needs he Helped me pick the parts. I was a Linux build for Video editing and some gaming. It took about 30 min in and out. Ive never build a PC before. But it was Seamless experience. I recommend this store. Plus if you dont want to built it yourself they can do it for you.P.S I went with Team Red.
I don’t normally write reviews, but we had an amazing experience at Micro Center! We came in with lots of questions throughout different departments in the store. Sales associate Rick V. went above and beyond to answer all of our questions! He was not only knowledgeable with his department, but with others as well. We stopped by the 3D printers, and he walked us through step by step on how they work, and he even gave us a 3D printed Eevee sparking our interest more. Overall a great experience and we’re very thankful Rick was there to help us!
We bought a really nice laptop here. They had a huge variety of electronics. My boyfriend loves shopping here, the staff is very nice too. But I have to be honest, sometimes it feels like they only assist people who they think will buy something, Im guessing because they get a small commission. I wish it would be less bias. Beyond that this is your Go-To electronic store.
If your buying electronics, this is the only place. They are highly competent and they dont pressure. Their customer satisfaction policy should be the model for all retailers. They are the best.
Amazing staff. Came in to build a custom PC with parts I had in mind. Staff helped me pick them out as well as recommend better options as well. Had them build the PC as well. Overall, fantastic experience and would recommend anyone that wants to build a new PC to come here. They know everything and anything when it comes to computers.
If you need electronics, you shop stop by or check them out online. Staff is super knowledgeable also. Competitive prices.
Only place to buy computer parts. Dont go anywhere else
Wow its an electronic wonderland! Associates are very knowledgeable in all departments. Last year as we were leaving the cashier was chatting with my sin and made an item suggestion which we went back and purchased. This visit we found him as a floor associate and again, chatting with my son, he suggested some add-ons and accessories to what was in our cart. We also changed/upgraded some items in our cart per his knowledge and experience in using them. We are happy consumers and will be back!
Great prices, will match Amazon and Best Buy. Very knowledgeable staff, just keep asking till you get an employee that knows the tech specs of what you need. Will do bundling. Open box buys are often a $100 lower than new equipment but its still new equipment, just buyer returns (buyer remorse) Frequently have sales. This store has been around for a long time because they are good at what they do. Try PowerSpec PCs built by them, better than big brand name PCs etc and not loaded with bloatware.
Simply the best place to get PC parts or other electronics in person. You can get all questions answered without judgement and I felt like we were working together to match good parts rather than sell me something expensive.
Have improved considerably over the last couple of years. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Havent been here in a while, but got to visit this past week and it took me back decades! Not because they have old stuff, but because its a real store with gear I usually can only find online - but with employees on hand who know their stuff. Computers, 3D printers, peripherals, parts, tools, and all the knowledge you could need in one physical space. Love it!
Sales rep Cesar was very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Jack assisted me at the service / repair provided me with quality attention. He went above and beyond to help me with my problem!
The most thorough computer purchase process Ive ever had. I walked in and ended up working with three different representatives, together. They never offered me anything but advice in the nicest and never undermining tone. I was knowledgeable about PC parts but not accessories and they put down everything and walked me through the store and shared almost every option; at least two in every price category. Then left me alone to make my decision for myself and my budget. This is the best shopping experience Ive had in awhile.
Nice and quick service. Humble staff
I only went here once to purchase a graphics card, but I was impressed by the system they had in place. You scan a QR code and are then allowed to buy one card a month, which they check via your ID. I managed to get one the first time I went. A sales associate personally helped me find the card I wanted and then walked me up to the cashier. I really commend MC for doing the best job they can making this process fair for PC owners wanting to upgrade their GPUs. I would definitely go to MC again for my next PC build rather than order parts online just to give this nice organization some business.
It worked out great. I pre-ordered what I needed and it was waiting for me when I arrived. I walked right up to the counter, told the man my name, the item, paid and left. Total less than 10 minutes. Very pleasant experience.
Incredible selection and prices.Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable.Always has what Im looking for.
This store and service is fantastic. The people that work here are knowledgeable, very helpful, and friendly. I came in for a repair order for my computer and Jack, Purnell, and Marty were so helpful and accommodating for me and got my computer returned in a little over 24 hours which was a massive help due to the distance. Even though it was far it was worth the trip. I was also able to pick up a new laptop and a battery back up at a great price. Highly recommend them for all your computer and technology needs.
One of the best stores you could ever shop at. Very helpful workers that dont try to push purchases on you like other stores. Warranties are fairly cheap and very worth it, covering almost any problem for several years, which you dont need a receipt for as they will have your coverage on file if you ever need it.
I came here for my first PC build, and it was extremely daunting. I know nothing of computers or any of the components I would need. My friend who is knowledgeable gave me a small list and told me simply to come here and ask for the rest. I was nervous asking employees but everyone was extremely amiable, patient and they all went above and beyond to help me. Ive never felt so welcome and taken care of, especially when I was completely out of my depth. The checkout experience was probably the worst part for me, but that was only because my card was declined. That was solely my banks fault for not liking large purchases -_- but the cashier was super nice, very patient and he did his best to reassure me. I was so embarrassed I wanted to cry, but he just did his best to make the experience less frustrating and I appreciated that so much! I wish I remembered his name, if I find the receipt Ill definitely add it! What I didnt like was his superior coming over and reprimanding him for me basically holding up the line when there was absolutely no one else behind me and 5 other cashiers. Your cashier was exemplary so there was no need to come over and make him and the customer more uncomfortable about the situation.Other than that, I will definitely come back here again, most likely with my techie friend. Theres so much to browse around for and the staff are definitely the best!
I needed a laptop for my son. This place has everything you need to even build a desktop. Much recommended, awesome stuff, they are very welcoming and helpful!!!
Soooooo! Lets talk about my experience last night with this location. I went in kind of knowing what I wanted but not really sure but good thing I went here because out of nowhere I am greeted by my new Salesman/friend Lorenzo Carrillo! This man I tell you is a walking talking very knowledgeable machine I swear! I have knowledge of everything electronics but this guy deserves an award! We went back and fourth for maybe 2 minutes on what I needed and within a few minutes matched me perfectly with my needs and even stayed in my budget! My advice to you is to go to the Westmont location and ask for him I promise you will not regret it! I was even greeted by the store manager at one point and thanked for shopping there! I mean come on! Most store managers Ive run into arent very nice but this woman was awesome. I did not receive anything for this review it is solely because I believe credit should be given where it is due! So if you want all of your needs met from a friendly knowledgeable person stop in there and ask for Lorenzo!
Needed a desktop computer, paper, a cable to transfer from hard drive and Microsoft office. Was helped no problems. Also had the pleasure of meeting the manager.
When I close my eyes and think of my happy place, this is where I imagine myself. As a maker and a tech guru, I love this shop. They offer incredibly competitive prices and if you have any questions I have no doubt their well trained and knowledgeable staff will be more than happy to help guide you in the right direction. I will recommend here to friends, family and colleges anytime they have a real need for electronics or are in the area. Very satisfied customer.
They have everything you can dreamt of. But finding it on your own is a mission in itself. Especially the diy section
If this place had a rewards program I would sign up immediately. I am visiting this store as frequent as once a week if not more. The staff is very knowledgeable for any technical questions you may have about the products or even for something you are having trouble with at home for your electronics.
Never had a bad experience at any micro center. This one was no exception. Awesome customer service.
Do yourself a favor and skip out on best buy, theres a pretty good chance youll find what you need here, make sure to check their online catalogue! Low prices, excellent customer service and they frequently have items on clearance. Worth the drive, best tech store outside the Chicagoland Area!
Ive waited a long time to make it here since there is not a micro center near Mississippi. I was assisted and with care. The clerk knew exactly what I was looking for when I listed what I had in mind as far as parts. I definitely enjoyed walking around in this nerds paradise. I wish we could get one down in Memphis or at least Nashville. I truly enjoyed my experience and I cant wait to get home now so I can upgrade my system from AM3+ to AM4.
A total geek nirvana. If your significant other isnt into technology you will be better off to leave them at home and go by yourself so you can shop at your leisure. If you have never been here before, I would suggest eating a light meal before getting here and be prepared to be blown away by the amount of interesting stuff they have at very fair prices. Look for the yellow price tags for the best deals.
Just walked out. Chris from the build center was AWESOME! Helped me with my Plex media server build. Couldnt be happier with his help.
Great electronics at great prices. Excellent computer repair service.
People know how the store is laid out and if you ask them a question they either know the answer already or will find out for you. Great place to go to for your electronic needs!!
Had a problem buying the wrong laptop and software that would not work. They took it back, got me the correct laptop and installed the software, at a cost of $50. Well worth it. All set now.
Great place for computers and related items. Good selection and very knowledgeable staff.
Very cool place if you are a techie. They have absolutely everything electronic related in this store. I have never been to one of these stores before, and the only electronics store close to me is BB. This is THE electronic store on steroids,. Oh, and there is a really cool kids game section with crafts and games NOT computer related.
They pretty much have a monopoly on retail availability of PC components so I dont have much choice other than shopping here unless I want to deal with the wait times from online vendors. However, good luck finding anyone to assist during the week. Theres zero organization in regards to lining up customers who need help even if its to simply get product out of a locked cage. As long as you do your research ahead of time and are prepared to spend 30 minutes waiting for one item youll be satisfied.
Purchased a laptop here. Will never set foot in a Best Buy again. Experience couldn’t have been better. Staff was very knowledgeable and eager to help. Manager came up at checked to thank me for shopping there.
Great selection, extremely knowledgeable sales staff, decent prices. The go-to place for build-your-own computers and specialized tools. Life-long customer here!
Really great store offering computer parts you dont find anywhere else. Great store for building and getting help building your own PC. Wish I had one that was closer to me.
Friendly people and solid store in general. Will definitely come back for any future upgrading or tech needs
Great selection. Just about everything for geeks. Staff a little snooty but they know their stuff
This is the only place in the western suburbs to find computer parts anymore. Other than Best buy which is mostly a ripoff.
I love this place!!! Great deals all the time! Can get busy!
Very nice to see a retailer care about the gaming community. They actually have video cards in stock and limit purchase per house hold with ID/DL. Thank you very much for doing this!!!
How google maps could not have this places phone number is ridiculous. Wake up Google!
I came here instead of ordering online because I thought I could get some useful advice on raspberry Pis and accessories and support brick and mortar. After 20 minutes of not being able to get any help while employees stood around around and chatted with each other I gave up. Back online.
The single positive thing about Micro Center is that if you need something a bit out of the mainstream (say, an access point, or a VPN router/ switch combo) you can likely find one in the store. However, if you are looking to set up a SOHO network yourself, or might need some help doing so, you best order from NewEgg or similar stores.Micro Center lacked supply (the longest Cat6 runs they had were 100 feet) and had zero routers without WiFi. When I asked if they had this item, the sales person (apparently the expert) asked why I would ever want to use one without WiFi, and told me just to disable it in the settings and buy the one they had in stock.
Small store, but has a quite large amount of stock in every area. They have very helpful staff that can help you get through things, and the prices are really good. Overall, 5/5.
Good place, use them a lot for my Office purchases.
Love this store. Check out their websites for open box and refurbished deals. Extremely knowledgeable staff that goes above and beyond to help you find everything you need. Prices are almost always lower than other big name electronics stores.
Staff was everywhere if you have questions. Nobody seemed overbearing. Lots of in stock products. Building was hot.
I visited this store on the 26th of March at around 5:30am because there was a sheet inside the store the day before saying no one could line up for their GPUs until 6am. I get there and this is what I see, right before 6am...To say I am absolutely horrified by this is an understatement. We are in a PANDEMIC and if you see my photograph you will see zero precautions being taken by anyone of those people in line, a lot of people were not wearing masks as well. Microcenter can post their cute little sheet saying no one can line up, but they do not care to enforce it at all. I did not step out of my car, you can keep your GPUs, I will be SAFE. Shame on you Microcenter for allowing this on your premises. I really hope corporate sees this. If I knew who to report this to, I would.
Love it. It reminds me of computer stores from back in the 1980s when there was stuff everywhere.
If you enjoy technology and PC building then this place is phenomenal. They are also the first store Ive found that carries canned GFUEL.
Went online looking for a replacement battery for my Asus laptop thought I found the right on. Went to the the store in Westmount for the first time, as I entered I was looking allover the store for the battery no one helped me as I looked all over the store. Finally I found the battery by myself went to the register and I asked if this will fit my laptop and he did not know he said I would have to go to the center of the store and asked someone there. So I did and 3 young men were standing there I asked can someone help me. One young man helped and said no thus battery will not fit, then he checked the computer and said they dont carry this battery that I needed. So I left with no battery. I went online at home a bought a battery from a online vendor.
Had been researching Ryzen 5000 series.. decided to go with the 55600x. Website said they had them.in stock. Dont have any locations in Madison so drove 2.5 hrs based solely on the website. I was lucky, they had it. Great prices, great inventory. Will drive back down again. Now if they just had 3080 series graphics cards!
Good prices, price matching, informative staff, and a great return policy. Not to mention one of the only places that is actively combating GPU scalpers.
I love microcenter. They have the best prices, and they price match if they dont. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Im so glad this place exists! Keep up the good work MC
Great store. Has everything you need to build an awesome PC.
I loved this store for its knowledge tech support and convenience have been getting products and asking questions since 2000. I bought 2 computers there in Oct 2020 instead of getting online paid a little more but they have great tech support and for simple things they could look at your laptop under 5 minutes and your out the door. Well fast forward March 2021,just left I have not used mt laptops mobile wifi so it needed a setting changed, the tech could not look at without charging 40.00 for a 44 minute consult, I was asking for a 3 minute solution I had phone and computer on and the settings open. No go not even the managers would help. Thank God for Google finished in the parking lot saved $40.00 but was very taken back but the new regulations. 😥
Best place to buy a processor if you are building your own computer! Help staff was quickly available to offer assistance to line up RAM to go with my cpu/mobo combo.
I always enjoy coming to this micro center. I make sure to run through every part of the store to make the trip worth it. Bought my gaming computer and monitor here. Very nice and down to earth employees that try to find what youre looking for.
Great selection and prices. Its a drive, but worth it since their prices meet or beat amazon usually
Great place for great priced electronics. They even price match
Great staff. 👍 see
Bought a laptop and a raspberry PI good price and the manager was kind enough to give me a 32 GB Jump drive as I forgot to bring my coupon.Thank you
Huge store with many many options low voltage materials to nice laptops and Tvs.
Very professional. Great store!
A lot of options for PC parts and the service is pleasant. Most of the information is catered to what the customer wants and needs. If they dont know theyre honest.
A person here, sold me a router that was supposed to be a router/modem. I was very disappointed to find out this person had misrepresented the product. I needed a modem and it was only a router.
Awesome Sales n cool Sale Peoples
This is the ultimate supply store for technologyMy son builds his own computers and can get any part he needs on line or in store. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of parking. The store is well organized with signage, however the isles are a little congested and a little difficult to maneuver with a handicapped scooter.
They have everything. Which makes finding something specific a little tricky
I went to redeem a coupon, and bought a couple things at the same time. They have a lot of products, but if I need help with anything, I always have to ask. The sales associates on the floor always ignore me. Maybe because Im female? No clue, but getting service is annoying. Even when I bought my laptop there I had to find a sales associate, nobody offered to help me.
If you’re a gamer you gotta love this place!
Went there looking for a Canon printer but they only had 1 model in stock. 2 years ago they had at least 8 models oh how the mighty have fallen.
Love it! Sadly they dont have graphics cards (but basically nobody does due to the pandemic) but they basically have every thing else you need to build a computer and its awesome!
I went in to check out some stuff for my new 3d printer. As I am new to it, I had a lot of questions. Wade was absolutely amazing! Hes super knowledgeable and was more than happy to help me and answer all of my questions. I wanted to go above and beyond to commend his customer service and hope he is recognized 😊
As my wife says home of the nerds. Love it there.
Bought a monitor here, ended up returning. But everyone i came in contact with was very helpful and courteous. Great customer service here, they didnt make a sale but made sure i was 100% satisfied with them from beginning to end . I will be back in the future.
Nice selection from low cost to high end computer parts and assessorities. Just beware they like to tac on extended warranty coverage at register.
This was my first time going to Microcenter and I was super impressed I went to get my graphics card checked out cause it wasnt allowing my pc to start up and in a couple hours they fixed it, We were helped by Marty super friendly, patient, very informative throughout the whole thing, If you need any tech repairs big or small these guys will take care of you keep up the great work.
This store is always a great experience. The floor staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The cashiers are courteous and accommodating. Microcenter is the guide to survival as a B&M store. Will be going back for all my electronics/tech needs even if its a bit of a drive.
You need it the just might have it great place great employees
This place is amazing! Needless to say that I’m definitely looking to go much deeper into the world of tech and this is the place to do so.Don’t be afraid to ask any question you need it is necessary to get the answer you’re looking for.Learn, grow your knowledge base, experiment with different brands to see what best fits your digital life.
Enjoyed my visit to this Micro Center. All of my Micro Center visits have been excellent.I specially enjoyed the large display of laptops and Im considering an upgrade.Thank you!
Always enjoyed my time here. Helpful people and often very knowledgeable. The pandemic and the recent GPU crisis has made things very frustrating for both consumer and retailer. Despite that I can say they are obviously doing their best and will still likely one of my favorite places to shop after this crises passes.
Such a wide variety of cool tech and computer hardware! The staff are actually very knowledgeable and happy to help as needed
Staff is always helpful. They keep inventory of pretty much everything. Also interesting here is they have a fantastic kids section for robotic toys and other science/computer-related playsets
If youre looking for any computer items, this is THE place to go! I have bought a couple of computers here, and I am always amazed at the great deals and knowledgeable associates that work here. I found an open box gaming PC here, which is Wolking great! I initially did have some issues with it, but they looked, ran all the diagnostics on it, and made sure it was working properly. I highly recommend this place if looking for any computing items.
This is my go to for computer hardware and other nerdy stuff, they are competent and the store is really stocked with the best components for each price bracket from consumer to enthusiast. I recently bought there a pre-build HP Omen 30L loaded with an impossible to find elsewhere RTX3070 video card, awesome
I enjoyed coming to this store with my son. We built him a pc with the majority of parts from this store, the staff was always helpful and nice. To continue the bonding with my son, I decided to build myself a PC. Realizing how hard it is to get a graphics card, I waited out in line to get one Just as my father did when he bought my sons for Xmas, lucky for me they had exactly the one I wanted. However upon getting to the register, I was turned away due to a one per household rule. I understand what they are trying to do but at the expense of the common person, they’ve lost a customer in me. I’m now tasked with the near impossible task of trying to get a graphics card online.
Lots of great stuff if you pitch a tent. People line up very early and bring chairs, tents, food just because they want to be first in line
I love this store. Way better than Best Buy!
