This is my go to spot for Pokémon cards! The prices are unbeatable and the staff is really friendly and will talk to you about your hobby! They have an endless supply of stuff because they are a huge eBay store but also have this place to walk in and shop as well. They will match any of their prices that you see on their eBay page. They have anything that you are looking for from Pokémon cards, Magic, Yugioh, sports cards, sleeves, top loaders, booklets, comics, sports souvenirs and random stuff, they even had children’s toys. You will always get your money’s worth here and they can take my money any day! You will save money in the long run by going to them rather than other shops and they will always have the latest products in stock usually on release day. I would recommend this place to any card collector indeed! I think they have been in business 15-20 years. I wish I knew it existed long ago. I happened to stumble upon them through eBay and asked if they had a store because it said Connecticut and I hit the jackpot! I’ve been going every week ever since! Definitely check them out!

Stopped by numerous times during the hours of operation they claim are “open” only to find the door was locked multiple times. (False advertising) I talked to someone a few days ago about a special edition release for Pokemon and he had said there will be a limited supply in the store so you will want to get there early. I waited 2 hours outside until they opened to only get yelled at by the old guy who works there. Simply responded I don’t have any in the store, there’s nothing I can do to help you, and I have too many online orders to take care of. WOW GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT!!! I have no idea why they even “open” their doors if every time you walk in it feels like an inconvenience to them. The store is an absolute mess filled with boxes and very tough to navigate around. Take the extra time to travel to go elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store!!!

Originally was willing to disregard the awful customer service for convenience in location. Will not be returning! Store is an absolute mess, employees make you feel like an inconvenience, and hours of operation are not typically followed. If the owner wants to run an online business.. run an online business and leave the in person interaction for people who actually care!

Long time customer. 10+ years. Stopped in to get my daughter a couple gifts for her birthday. While checking out I inquired about an upcoming baseball product and what the cost for a case would be. Owner responded “ I don’t know, that’s like the 100th thing on my mind right now, I have a ton of Pokémon boxes to ship”. This store has gone downhill. If you want to just be an eBay drop ship location, lock your doors. Disappointed.

Had a great experience here, bought some pokemon and Magic cards and we had great results, no sign of a picked box or packs. They were very helpful. A great place for games like Pokemon, magic etc. Not a store for baseball cards.

A bit frustrating I called and was told that they bought basketball cards my husband went in and was told that they do not that was a bit contradicting Im not sure if it was due to the color of the skin. But I felt like it was and Im entitled to how I feel. I was told one thing and then told another.

For those saying they are resealing packs, I know they are lying. I’ve had incredible pulls out of the booster boxes I’ve bought here- not to mention they are WAY too busy to tamper with packs. They are a MASSIVE eBay seller. They are selling in line with their eBay prices, so some prices are higher than MSRP. It’s in line with market value for most of it though. You can always find something to buy if you come here. I like that you can walk in and pay cash, instead of buying online. They do have Pokémon in stock every time I’ve been here. The owner has given me a bit of a deal before when I bought a lot at once. Nice people here.

I went in and was so happy with the help I got a booster box of Pokémon cards and more the guys were so helpful they even open a new box where the booster box came from the Pokémon factory and let me pick mines I will order from them fromNow on they are on eBay !!

They have tons of product available, pokemon cards and magic cards in stock often. Friendly guys there when I went, very chill and willing to assist you if you ask. The prices for pokemon cards at this shop are SO much cheaper than most websites and anywhere in NY. If you think theyre over charging, clearly you arent aware that everywhere is right now - pokemon cards are in high demand.

Walked into what seemed like a warehouse of boxes and not a “store”. A 2 out of 10 for customer service…the workers there seemed bothered and didn’t care. Now if they think “oh, all these online orders…that’s where my money is coming from, who cares about customers coming in”, then shut down the brick n mortar and stay online. You never know who’s walking in the door that has a business opportunity. This place has TONS of product options, but lacks customer care. Recipe for disaster.

Called to see what product they had in stock because it’s about a 40 min drive. The guy on the phone complained when I asked what were the prices claiming that he has “1,000” online orders to fill, so for me to drive there and check it out.... sounds like a scalper in the shadows. Deff recommend going anywhere else.

I have had the most amazing luck here with Pokémon cards! The workers here are amazing . And better prices then most places for Pokémon right now. I’ve pulled a shiny charizard v from here along with a rainbow rare pikachu and a normal vmax !

Price gauging at its finest. I understand your privately owned but you guys are bringing those prices are insane. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reseal packs/Boxes and take the heavy ones out. I opened some packs and they were missing some. I paid extra and they said nothing we can do. Out my money and out of respect for them especially with how nasty they were on the phone. Staff wasn’t following CDC guidelines. None of them were wearing masks. Not to mention they’re selling product for double their MSRP value. I would never go back and would advise everyone to stay clear of them.

This is not a comic book shop. Mostly bulk drop ship eBay “China” products. Very disappointed. They should change the name. Misleading to say the least. Upside, staff was friendly and apologetic.

When I arrived at Omni Comics and Cards i had a goal of purchasing a few products from a trading card game I enjoy that this shop sells. Finding anything Cardfight Vanguard related in the state of Connecticut is rather difficult and rare. Though when I called to check about the format, types of booster boxes and starter decks the store offered I had to head over and see how it is. When you enter the doors your greeted with a sort of crowded feeling with all the sports merchandise and wears. But alot of card shops also have the same feeling since trading card games also span out from just YuGiOh and Magic the gathering. I looked around at the shelves of goods like some funko pops and mystery boxes of various series till I got to the front counter and was assisted by a employee who was awsome with helping me get what i came for. Once I finished with my purchase I asked several more questions about the community that comes to play, times games start and was also treated to a look at a fellow players pulls to see if anything was to my eye to buy. All in all once I left the store I didnt feel like it was just another in and out place but I felt pretty whole and excited for my next visit to Omni Comics and Cards.

Bad Customer Service Would Never Go There Ever Again. I Was Told One Price On A Item On The Phone But When I Got There They Wanted To Charge Me Double For The Item. Then When I Brought It To There Attention The Guy Started Screaming At Me Denying What He Told Me On The Phone. Please Know The Value Of What Your Purchase Before You Pay For Anything. I Feel Bad For The People Who Go There And Don’t Know Much About Trading Cards And Get Over Charged.

Stopped by there today for the first time today and scored a a couple hobby and blaster boxes of Bowman 2020. Prices were good and excellent customer service. Will be back again!

The place is huge and has incredible selection, but the store is really poorly kept. Just very disorganized. It gave off the sense that they almost exclusively do online orders, as there were just bags of inventory piled up as high as the cabinets in randoms places.

Poor place for cards only had new stuff over priced store was messy employees not very friendly . A place I have no intention of visiting in near future.

Definitely a HUGE store with an ENORMOUS selection. My husband and I however were not overly impressed with their Pokemon card selection. Also, I personally was not overly impressed with the staff, I didnt find them to be very friendly and the main person we dealt with was absolutely not helpful. However, like I said, they do have an ENORMOUS selection of pretty much anything and everything else thats collectable.

This store has so much to choose from its incredible! My only real problem is that its almost impossible to get around the store because it is very disorganized and there are constantly boxes and bags other what not blocking you from being able to get to everything. Also, it would be helpful if things were actually priced. If these items would be addressed this store would be a rock star. 5 stars all the way if they can take care of these 2 issues.

My nephew loves this place. This place is full of any type of card you want from baseball to pokemon, and its full of things for the diehard sports fan from every pro team not just the local pro teams.

This place was great, the staff and the customers were all friendly and had some cool conversations for us about intelligent topics, plus there are tons of comics and toys😊Edit to say also that as for the prices, they are pretty comparable to most comic shops around the state, however they DO have the lowest price for boards and bags as far as brick and mortar stores go. I dont like ordering online so for ME, I would rate their prices as on the cheaper side.worth it.Theres tons of merchandise everywhere, and unfortunately some stuff was not for sale....so be sure to ask before you get your heart set on a purchase....probably should move it out of the way if its not meant for walk in customers to buy.lol

Omni has a great selection of collectibles for sports teams and Comics. The staff there are pretty willing to help you find what you need. Honestly the only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that the store can be messy sometimes.

They have a lot of things but its essentially a warehouse for their online store. If you buy boards for your comics here check them first to make sure they are not bent.

Its a big store. Very unorganized. If you like sports apparel and random assortment of things go here. Comics are very poorly kept. Staff didnt even acknowledge us. Yes they sell stuff online. I honestly think they should move them to the back as its in the way of customers who are physically there.

I have been a Omni comics and cards customer since 1999 ..I would never go anywhere else ..the owner Scott has always gone out of his way to accommodate me ..Peter a long time employee has been. Thing but a pleasure to deal with ..they have immense knowledge of allSports and a wide range of comics ..also the rest of the staff have been nothing but great !! I highly recommend going to Omni for all your hobby needs

I will go there on occasion because there isnt much else around. My main issue...price. As someone who used to run a hobby shop in another state and understands the ins and outs of the business, pricing, direct accounts, distributors etc...I can say without a doubt that Omni is one of the more overpriced dealers I have ever encountered. Its hard enough for collectors to recoup money on boxes and cases as it is, without losing hundreds more on cut-throat pricing. Virtually any online dealer and hundreds of brick and mortar dealers nationwide would beat omni pricing by a country mile.

Bought a few things from here... not happy with my recent call... the store employee seemed to think Boxes under $50 was a joke and never happens..To be honest a $32 box of Prizm 2013 Baseball was why I began shopping here.. now I feel like my $50 is better spent with a store thatll appriciate it..Poor customer service. And employee stated he sells out online.. good enjoy your online sales. I for one wont be promoting this store to my buyers..

Tried charging me $14 for a lego piece

This place is a mess, you cant even go into several parts of the sales floor because its covered in mountains of merchandise and other parts give me claustrophobia. And man thats not to mention that the majority (like 3/4ths) of said over cluttered sales floor is just sports memorabilia, not even collectable stuff persay just... Miscellaneous sports themed things. If you want comic book stuff you have to venture to the uncharted corners of the store rather than the main strip. Sad that a comic and card shop is set up like this, comics only take up like an 8th of the floor and another is pop figures and I remember seeing a few card packages but not nearly enough to call this a comic and card shop...And the most nuetral point about this store is that the staff kinda just lets you explore, they dont apologise for the mess (not that makes it any more acceptable.) ..... But at least they dont hover like at other comic shops.

Staff is ver unfriendly. Dont acknowledge customers as they come in and everything is disorganized. Rude when you go to purchase. Its clear that the store only exists as a front for their online store seeing as they sort through all their ebay purchases in the front near the registers. Quite obvious they really dont care about appearences or customer service, Im surprised theyre still open.

Store is stocked well and you are able to find what you want.I would recommend this store if you really got to have it.Lets face it we got to give all comic book stores love, but to be honest this just wasnt my kind of store.It didnt have that geeks are welcome atmosphere and I felt followed while I browsed.Rude staff would be a pleasant way of putting it. I went in with a-lot of money and bought nothing. Not because I didnt want to, but because I felt like the staff wanted me to leave.You know how you drive up to a fast food drive trough and the can I help you gives you the we are going to mess up your food and order feeling, so feeling uncomfortable you just drive off or order a drink? Well thats how I felt in this store.I tried to change the atmosphere by talking to the staff so that I could get a good feeling and load up on some 10- 20 issues that I needed to catch with.Years ago prior to their move Omni Comic & Cards was a place a destination. The knowledgeable staff was pleasant and geeks and nerds felt at home.Maybe one day they will remember why they got into this business and recapture some of that golden nostalgia and reclaim their once found glory in geekdom and nerdville.
