Decided to pass by since I am new to the area. I took a video game out of my collection that I had no intention of selling just to see what I would get for it to see what Im working with since I visit pawn shops often. The game goes for 200-225 average and I checked all current listings. At first the guy tried to tell me it was selling for 140 on eBay but thats without the case and without the manual which plays a big difference in the item. After sharing my knowledge he offered me 70-80 which o can say is very very fair and I was impressed it was above 50. Of course I have no intention of selling it but now I know they are fair. I talked with another employee about the Xbox one x they have and how I would love to trade my Xbox one s for credit towards it. I was offered 80 in credit which makes sense they have a few there already that they probably have an issue pushing. The employee then offered to take off 50 bucks off the x of one x which was wonderful and I am still heavily debating on it since its a great deal. My only issue with my visit today is that they are a little bit loud with negotiating with customers on how much their stuff is worth. Almost like they want people around them to hear them. Other than that I think this place is great

David, one of the owners is a prince, a man of his word and you can do business with him the old fashioned way with a hand shake. All of their shops are just as great so are the entire team at Silas Deane pawn shops. Came down there with typical things that every single pawn shop would take and they said that they cant even sell what they have. Very hard to negotiate doesnt seem like they like to haggle that much very great selection though but the staff is less than adequate. Ive gone to this particular store at least three times to purchase some items that I was looking for. I purchased a lawn mower, then the IPAD Air and also a Michael Kors watch and I can honestly say it was a great experience. The staff was courteous knowable and helped me find what I was looking for. This is the best pawn experience Ive ever had. I went to Silas Deane Pawn in Wethersfield looking to get a deal on some of my late great aunts possessions. Not only were the employees friendly and professional but they were respectful. I obviously didnt get the amount I desired but they took the time to explain why each item was listed at certain prices. Then while I was there my son saw an PS4 system that he wanted and we took advantage of the layaway program they have aw well. Ive been back countless times since my first experience and it remains the same. By far the best pawn shop Ive been to and definitely the best in CT.

An excellent experience. Walked in and right away a gentleman was extremely friendly and courteous. I had brought in a few electronics, some of which were in very nice condition. He offered me an excellent price for the bin of things I brought in.The woman behind the counter handing out the money was also very friendly and kind. She was referring to the woman in front of me very casually and respectfully, keeping friendly with everybody waiting in line, and extremely courteous when finally giving me my bill. The nicest thing was, when I called back a few days later, this same woman answered and was equally as friendly on the phone. I thought it would be a rarity for a pawn shop employee to be so polite on the phone answering a random question, especially when rudeness can come from the most upscale forms of business. I felt very welcome there and would be happy to come again, provided I bring quality goods that I know they can use and benefit from.

These people are crooks, I spoke with the owner and I told him that I wanted to pawn my camera and he agreed. So my camera was given to a lady and she put it into the system. I came back 30 days later and found out the lady put it in as sold instead of pawn. One of the guys came to me and said that I sold it and acted like he own the place and trying to put that Im stupid. They dont have my camera anymore and theres nothing that can be done. I called an spoke to the owner and he said hell give me a deal on a new camera. I thought this was ridiculous because I said pawn not sold loud and clear to them and the lady made a mistake. Now Im out of an expensive camera. If you go here wanting to pawn an item be cautious and make it loud and clear because if you dont theyll screw you over. I know they made a mistake because the lady who out it into the system was there and she gave me the oh crap look and a friend of mine who was with me at the time when I had the camera is a witness who stated that I said Pawn. If they make a mistake they wont acknowledge it.

Im from Florida and am visiting Connecticut and i decided to stop by the shop today to check out their selection of fishing gear and was really suprised!!! they had tons of quality, top end fishing gear for great prices. I left there with a lot of new stuff. The customer service was excellent and the store was awesome! Totally blows away every other pawn shop ive been to.
