I had always heard such great things about Main Street Creamery, and I’m glad I finally had a chance to stop by. They had a great selection of flavors, and I thought it was such a good idea that they offered an option for ice cream flights! I was struggling to make a choice, so I was happy to pick four flavors that I really wanted. Old Wethersfield’s Main Street is really charming, and it was nice to sit outside the creamery and look at the old homes, and of course, the scarecrows for the Halloween season.

Love the ice cream here. They have everything for everyone and that includes our furry members of the family. The ice cream is creamy and delicious...My dog enjoyed his pup cup. I love walking around and just enjoying the day.

After an extremely hot day at work, I decided to stop in and treat my family. I was waved in by the staff and to my surprise, there was no acknowledgment. The young lady behind the counter just looked at me. I said, Hello, how are you? After asking this question three times, I got no reply. I should have walked out at this moment. I received my order and said Thank you twice, I was appalled that I was ignored each time. I try to support small businesses in these difficult times and its frustrating that I would receive this kind of treatment by someone less than half my age. Im careful with negative reviews of small establishments because I understand the negative effects they can have. But, I refuse to be treated with no respect. This interaction negatively impacted an otherwise amazing day. I rated this place 2 stars because the ice cream was actually pretty good, its a shame that some of the staff ruined this experience.

What a cute little ice cream parlor in charming Historic Wethersfield! Delicious ice cream, with a plethora of flavors (I recommend the Blueberry Pie, if they have it available). It was fairly priced, in my opinion; $4.50 for my one scoop, plus an additional $1 for the fancy waffle cone instead of the normal cone. Friendly service. I will definitely visit again!

Great little ice cream shop in this beautiful neighborhood. The ice cream was delicious! The area is gorgeous with lots of very old beautiful homes. Its a great place to get and ice cream and go for a walk. There are sidewalks so its very safe. You can take a walk to the Wethersfield Cove. A beautiful spot at the end of the road.

Very good ice cream place the flavors and toppings are very good. Today I went (very busy!!) I ordered the PB Dream I had PB nightmare last time very interesting experience! I put hot caramel and PB sauce my mouth exploded with flavors of delicious goodness. The PB chunks made a very good taste to the ice cream I had a very good experience and will definitely go again highly recommend going there very worth it.

They have too many choices. I settled on Swiss Mocha Almond and it was sooo good. For those that remember Friendlys then youll remember this as a popular sundae. I recommend. Parking can be difficult so keep that in mind. Would go back again.

So yummy! Great pricing! There are so many flavors to choose from--I found myself so indecisive because they all looked so yummy! Vegan options are offered (coconut milk base) as well as sorbet and macarons. The macarons were delicious! Each macaron is $1 each. In terms of payment, the creamery takes Venmo and cash. When we visited, they did not accept card, so just be prepared to have either cash or an activated Venmo account. Of course, this may change in the future--just wanted to give a heads up. Theres also a nice little seating area out front as well as park benches down the block. Highly recommend!

Hands down best local ice cream!

I visited here recently and ordered a sundae. While the ice cream is good, they charge for each topping you want. I guess they dont know that a sundae implies toppings. Each topping is $0.50. Not realizing this, I had hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry. Even the one measly cherry they put on cost me $0.50. My medium sundae cost me almost $8.00! I will not be going back.

Love this little place. Been coming since our kids were very small and now they are teens and late 20s. Good ice-cream, friendly service, plenty of flavors and generous portions. You can get the one scoop choice, get 2 flavors and have a hard time finishing the cup because the portions are large. A very nice summer treat!

The ice cream at Main Street Creamery is extremely good. They have a great selection and the staff are friendly and helpful. My child has a peanut allergy and they always take care of him. The atmosphere is awesome and its one of our favorite stops in Old Wethersfield.

The Peanut Butter Nightmare is a dream...and keeps us coming back for more! Staff is great and the atmosphere both inside and outside is a perfect example of New England charm.

On 6/20, I was waiting on the sidewalk with my two year old as my group of friends waited in line to also get ice cream for us. My two year old ran into the lawn of the property next door. As I ran after and picked him up an employee can outside yelling at my TWO year old and I to get off the private property. Not only was this embarrassing as she yelled over a long line of people including my friends but this was also not the creamery’s property, thus not their problem a two year old became loose from a parent’s grip. Of note, two older women were sitting on the front steps of the property being trespassed on for at least a half hour and not a word was said to them.I am very disappointed at the lack of candor or discretion from the Creamery’s employee or owner, I am not sure. I had been a resident of Wethersfield for 30 years and left 3 years ago. Glad I did, New Britain is far more relaxed, especially local businesses and neighbors.

You can grab a cone and walk through Old Wethersfield, or sit outside on the porch or out front and enjoy the people watching. There is also indoor seating. There is a bathroom for patrons. Its a cash only establishment and there is an ATM on site.

Good regular ice cream and variety, but the dairy free ice cream wasnt good, it was a weird consistency and it taste like a watered down version of ice cream, I have eaten dairy free options from different places and I have never come across this weird consistency before.

Great and tasty vegan sorbet. The Lemon sorbet and Ginger vegan ice cream are outstanding! One of the best food places in Connecticut.
