Love this place, staff was super friendly and they definitely know what theyre doing. I bought my bike on FB marketplace and itd been pretty well loved. The brakes were a little loose but Id made do riding it for 4 or 5 months until the chain started popping off and catching and in general just having issues. I figured it was time for some TLC, and the Bicycle Link did the best job! Even things I didnt notice got fixed, they fixed the seat into position and the gear shifting works beautifully, and the price was beyond reasonable. Ill definitely be coming back here!
My bike was toward the end of its life. Instead of telling me to throw it in the trash and buy a new one, Mark the head mechanic worked with me to make the most of my bike, which still had a good frame, good brakes, and good wheels. He replaced the shifters, the crank, the chain, and the cassette. Now it goes to 11. Im thrilled with my bike as it rides like new. His work routing the cables is a thing of beauty. I used to ride a ton and in the past did events like the Mt. Washington Hill Climb, the B2B, Pan Mass, Ride for the Roses, and the Tour de France Challenge. I dont know all of the recent technology that goes into bikes but have a good understanding of the fundamentals. For about one third the cost of a new bike, Mark did a great job making my old bike as good as new. Im grateful for his attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ultregra 11 speed is sublime.
Went to find a cycle for my wife after trying 2 other shops in the area. Pandemic bike shortage has left some other shops without any way to get bikes. Glad I landed here. They had 3 or 4 in stock and my wife fell in love with the look and feel of one in particular. After taking it home during the first ride, she had her derailleur get caught in the spokes and it bent things badly. We were both bummed and not sure how to handle the situation so with the store open for another hour I decided to hurry the bike back to see what could be done. Sam was there when I returned with it a few hours after purchase (he happened to be the one who sold me the cycle). He was immediately very apologetic for the occurence, seemed genuinely concerned about our satisfaction and eager to make it right. He assured me he would have it all fixed up or completely replaced the following day, no questions asked. Well thats what happened. Got a phone call the next day. They had a newly built Cannondale ready to be picked up shortly after lunch! The customer service was top notch for us and I have a happy wife for mothers day. Thanks Sam! Thanks Bicycle Link!
Great service!I was looking for a Cannondale Quick last year. Unfortunately, at the time it was out of stock. They said when it comes they will reach out to me. It was a long time so I totally forgot about it. They call me back after 5-6 months reaching out that they have it in the store. Its very nice to know how they care for their customers.
Had a tire mounted there recently. The owner was rude. He implied that I should know how to do that myself (he assumed I have the pry tool to do so without scratching the rim) and said that I should be smart enough to know how to do it if I got the other one off myself. I will never ever give this store my business again.
Staff is way knowledgeable. They helped us choose bikes for our needs, put them together, found us the accessories we needed, helped load everything on our car. Awesome awesome. Will definitely go there for any bike needs.
They have everything I need too get my bike up and running.A little steep of price, but only one stop. And fully knowledgeable
The service is great. The staff is helpful and no pressure. I thought about buying a bike and they talked me out of it. It was more about having the right bike. They are very knowledgeable and their mechanics are the best.
I went to the store to by a bike rack to mount bikes to my car. The employee took the time to help me pick the right product and show me how to install it onto my vehicle. He really took the time and care to make sure I was satisfied. Great customer service.
Excellent bike shop. Not only did they turn around my two road bikes for repair within three days, they also charged almost nothing for the work. Purist run operation. Will be back.
Nice staff but not very knowledgeable. Brought my wheel to see if I could fit an 11 speed cassette on it and they said I could. Brought my bike to a shop closer to home and the guy took one look at it and said the cassette doesn’t fit right and I could only fit a 10 speed. So I instead of fixing the problem that day I’m without my new build for another week
Super helpful; great service. They always have what I need—tools, grips gloves ++++
Quite busy. They took care of everyone in order (in the lot, thanks COVID) and didnt miss a beat. Very good local business.
Easy and efficient service during Covid.. drive up and they come out. I had a bad experience with a tire repair that ended up with me having to drive all the way back there to fix it. They did reimburse me.. but the guy who had originally worked on it.. was very defensive and borderline abusive to me when I came back. I think it depends who you get there.🚲
The owner took his time on a busy Saturday to help me get the best bike for me. I ended up with a Cannondale which I love after trying several different types. Also, there was a clicking in the back wheel I noticed after I had it for a week. The owner came to my house and repaired it along with changing my seat for more comfort.I highly recommend this bike shop!Laura
Had a fantastic experience at The Bicycle Link! Showed up yesterday (the Sunday before Memorial Day) with my two kids to get us all outfitted with new bikes. Ended up with a Trek for my son, a Specialized bike for my daughter, and the prettiest Electra cruiser for me! Jim Quinn and his team took excellent care of us and we are all so happy with our bikes. Found the prices to be very comparable to other retailers (actually less expensive then buying direct from the manufacturer), and service was outstanding. Looking forward to checking back in, in a month or so, for our tune ups, and buying additional bikes for my kids as they grow. BIG thanks to the Bicycle Link team!
Bike Link is my local. Great guys, great service.
I bought my Trek from here back in the 90s. I still love it to this day. I had to bring it back for a tune up this year. They did a great job. I couldnt be any happier with my bike. Thank you!
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Were able to help me decide on the best bike for my needs. Would recommend without any reservations.
This store does not only have a great selection of bikes. But is also is run by nice guys who know a lot about bikes.
We went in to buy a bike for my young daughter. Owner Jim was helpful and answered all of our questions. We were able to take a very nice new bike home with us. My daughter loves it and our experience was very positive.
Excellent bicycle repairs and tune ups. Really nice, helpful people there. Lots of great bikes, but none of the help is pushy. They just try and find the best fitting bikes for the customer and explain all the options and answer all the questions. Helpful, responsive and professional.
I have purchased many bikes here of different types. Mountain, road, beginner kids and street bikes. I have found the people here knowledgeable and helpful. They do repairs, tune ups and modifications on site and give fair estimates of the work they suggest is needed. I would recommend this shop.
Awesome place! I had to return something way late and they still accepted it. They have great activities (wompatuck turkey race happening as I write this) to join in all levels and great new products for kids to learn how to ride bikes earlier. Anyway check it out.
These Guys Are Great!!! Always Very Helpful And Knowledgeable. They Also Know All The Hot Spots To Ride Whether You Are Alone Or With Your Family. Good Stuff - Thanks Again Guys
Great service with a solid selection of bikes and gear. Not sure what all the one star reviews are about. They sold me my first mtb, and Ill buy my next one from them as well.Id recommend them to anyone looking to get into cycling, or if you have more technical questions they are willing to help.
Great people great service!
I am a short individual and I purchased a bicycle from here that was not only the wrong size frame, but was also incorrectly fit by the employee. By fit, I mean he dropped the seat to the lowest level and said it looked about right. The bike has been painful to ride ever since its purchase (because it is far to large for me), and I have spent tons of money having OTHER bike shops try and make the bike usable. Instead Ill be trading it in and buying a bike from Cycle Lodge in Pembroke where the fitting and service are done by credible people. Go to a place where they actually care about making you comfortable on your bike!
I have been considering getting an eBike online. A friend suggested going to a local shop. So I called and asked about it, and Sam P. told me I could come for a test drive. All in all a wonderful experience!
At bicycle link, I will say there is a pretty good selection of bikes and other products for sale. However, they could not perform a simple tune up on a bike if their lives depended on it. I brought my bike there for a tune up once and it came back with more problems then it had when I dropped it off. They couldnt even put a tire on correctly, I had noticed they put my tire on backwards even though there was a very clear marking on the tire which way it should go. Overall Im not impressed by my experience at bicycle link. If you are looking for a great bike shop to go to, try out Bike Barn in Whitman.
Don’t waste your time or money believe me! There as so many great small business, this is not one of them. They are great at taking your money, but once they have it, in the words of Mr. Wonderful from Shark Tank, Your dead to me!!!They charge you crazy money for repairs and in my opinion and my experience don’t have a clue what they are doing or don’t care! Never again will I purchase another bike from this establishmentment or owner! Haven’t been to Rockland Cycle but the reviews are excellent and will give them a shot! This place is dead to me!!!!
Sloppy service. Replaced spokes on my $1500 rims don’t know how but they left spoke ends in the wheel. Along with this had tune up performed on separate bike. The first real hard acceleration the chain skipped and I found myself in the middle of an intersection in a very tricky situation. I moved to south shore from Cambridge, these guys could learn a thing or two about wrenching and customer service from Belmont wheelworks. In spite of these problems with the service department I tried to buy a bike for my son $1000 to $2000 range. The experience was less than underwhelming, with an older gentleman who either lacked experience and knowledge or who didn’t care.I am now driving to Wheelworks to get my mountain, Cyclocross and road bikes worked on.
These guys are always helpful! Happy to support a local business.
The staff are very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to talk to you
The personnel are kind knowable.the price is great
Every one was helpful. Serviced my bikes and ready for the summer.
I called to ask these guys a simple question. I had asked whether they had regular brake levers in stock because I switched from risers to drops. He then insults me by asking me whether I did enough research for them to work. Dude, are you kidding me??? I was just gonna go there just to save time. Now, I am glad I just saved a headache.
I found them pleasant, knowledgeable, and quick to fix my bike. Thank you!
I got a Haro midway chrome about 3 months ago I got a flat tire and brought it in for a tune up and now my brakes are locked, the chain is lose as could be, ball bearings are all messed up and while I was riding it before noticing all this the tire was pushed far against the forks on the back and I fell and smashed my elbows and knees. I don’t recommend fixing a bike at bicycle link they can’t fix a bike for anything.
Great service great prices wonderful staff
Sam helped us find a bicycle for a riding clinic for our special needs child, very helpful. Wont forget, the White Family
Great establishment and very good service.
Exellent bike repair and great service. Very polite people.
These people are complete bozos. They are incredibly rude and have no idea on how to properly fix a bike! My friend paid hundreds of dollars for repairs that did not fix the problem. Owner jim is a real miserable. He doesnt care about the lousy work he performs or his total disrespect for his customers. i was in there not too long ago and they ignored what i had in mind and tried to sell me one of their many over priced bikes. The whole experience was a travesty! AVOID THIS PLACE AND GO TO Rockland Cycle where owner Dave does honest reliable work at a much better price, and he is completely professional with his customers. There is a reason why he gets many many 5 star ratings.
A great place to buy a bike.
The service is bad. So bad I would say its comical if they hadnt put me at risk for accident. Go somewhere else, it might save you from getting hurt.
The curbside service was great
Purchased three bikes for the kids here and had no issues. Staff is friendly, informed and if you have any issues or concerns, they will help you.
Service was terrible, brought it in 5 times no help, 300$ wasted and no refund policy.
This shop is posting on a bike classifieds page in Vancouver, BC. The classifieds are not for shops, or online retailers.
Good but little expensive
