One star if I could do less I would. If you don’t follow safety guidelines for mask how can individuals with high risk feel comfortable to shop at this store.

Stop and shop is a grocery chain. Has a few interesting items and a section for gluten free. International aisle. Organic section as well. There is a deli, flower shop, and bakery. Small section for Hallmark cards and gift bags. You you can get gift cards there is a end cap shelf.

I was here shopping for a delivery service and the people here are so rude.. i’ve worked grocery stores before i know it can be annoying but if someone was very nice to me i would never be rude to them. i asked a worker where something was and she rudely brushed me off, talking to me like i’m her rambunctious toddler. i know there can be difficult customers but i certainly am not one of them, i nicely asked where something was- the only reason i even gave 2 stars is because another worker saw what happened and he nicely asked me what i needed.

The frozen section is filthy. Absorbent strips are laid down to soak up the filthy water that has been leaking from the freezers in aisle 20 for years. This place barely gives its employees hours and pays minimum wage, there is no excuse as to why management hasnt taken care of this. Its a lawsuit waiting to happen the day someone slips on it. Also why is it Management is cutting down hours when there are never enough baggers or cashiers?Laughable management

I enjoy shopping at this location however - I do not like that at the bottom of looking at my receipt it has the amount my account has left. It should not tell me how much I have left in my checking account.

My go-to place to shop for groceries in Weymouth. Unlike its contemporaries, the store is clean, bright, and easy to navigate. Good bakery and produce section, products always look appealing on the displays. Usually not too busy unless its a weekend. Store is well staffed and typically keeps enough registers open to ensure a short wait in line. The staff are always ready to help, especially if youre at the self checkout, and are always hard at work keeping the shelves stocked daily. (Every time I visit, somebody is always stocking the yogurt section, so I take it they stay on top of things.) I definitely recommend this over other stores in the area. Even though its a bit further away from me than the other store in question, when I have the option, I always choose to go here.

My wife and l went shopping at our local Weymouth Stop&Shop and this was our experience we visited the supermarket around 8 AM Monday Feb. 1st 2021 to be honest the vegetables at 8:10 AM was all boxed up where l had to look for parsley in these boxes no biggie the store was only open for 40 minutes according to the their business hours .. So the wife asked if we could go finish the rest of our grocery shopping until they are done placing everything else out of the boxes 30 minutes later we went right back to the vegetable section and nothing changed so we decided to just go and pay for our grocery shopping so l walked up to the Cashier and had (Patty) ready to assist us pay for everything so l was trying to be nice by greeting her as well as her colleague who l guess was responsible for packing customers groceries in bags unfortunately none of them greeted me back instead they stood silent next l had (patty) asking me if l had a stop&shop card so l told her no and asked her if she can put one in for me she immediately did and then l asked if she can brake a $10 bill she then asked how do l want them l then told her a 5$ bill and 5 ones now back to the woman who was helping (patty) l didn’t catch her name because she didn’t have a name tag..And is the reason why l’m actually putting the effort of reviewing my terrible visit to our local Stop&Shop she started helping (patty)bagging 2 bags of our groceries then she yelled at patty that she was going to help another cashier leaving us all alone to do our own bagging which l can understand in some circumstances they can be short handed put NO this wasn’t the case and the reason l say that is because the moment we walked away from (Patty’s) Cashier she immediately went right back to help the customer behind us now l just clearly realized that wasn’t very welcomed to her supermarket not to mention l truly felt like l was a victim of Ra.ism Yes you read that correctly and it’s Sad l know..l guess if you want to be treated properly and not feel unwelcome just being 1 of many people of color then the Weymouth Stop & Shop isn’t the supermarket that will provide the hospitality and generosity you would like to get .. l truly regret siding with Stop&Shop employees when they went on strike last year knowing that this is how l would be treated..l can now say this with confidence :(yes my wife and l will never return to this unfriendly supermarket)...Cheers !

Its a great place and amazing workers. Love this shop.

Employees talk too much between them, instead of assisting customers.I had 5 items in my hand.. cero employee offered assistance or offrered a basket.

Always have what I need

Clean. Not a huge selection of food, however better than shaws next door. Prices and staff are great. Only thing keeping them from a 5 is selection. Honestly every store in Weymouth has that issue, though. Compared to further into the suburbs. Its just less space.

Its a good Stop & Shop. Its clean and the workers go out of their way to help you out. Their deli is also really good and everything seems fresh. The selection here also seems better than most other stores.

Manager, Nicole, went beyond the call of duty with her customer service skills. And, the following Labor Day, produce section was over the top, i e. the biggest tomatoes Ive ever seen! So glad youre not on strike anymore.

I live closer to the one in Himgham. Stopped in earlier today with my sister to grab a couple of things. The store looked pretty much clean. We like to use the shelf scan checkout when we do not have that many things.

After tonight’s experience I will NEVER come to this stop n shop again and will do everything I possibly can to NEVER shop at stop n shop again. Not only is the store absolutely filthy, understaffed, low in inventory but they literally do not order inventory so I cannot purchase the items I need after weeks and weeks! MULTIPLE not on sale items have been out of stock for over 3 weeks and instead whomever is stocking the items is just putting other items in their place to make it look like the shelf is full. This is a chronic issue and I’ve had it. I can get over the fact that I have to wait in line for 15 minutes every time I come here during NON peak hours, like tonight is a Monday night at 10pm—and I ALWAYS have to wait in line for 10+ minutes as there is never more than 2-3 registers open—and I only shop after 8pm.And I can usually get over the fact that the store is dirty, but tonight it was unfathomable. The freezers were leaking and there were wet floor signs with wads of soaked paper towels all over the floor as well as puddles of water in the middle of the aisle that you had to avoid. In order to keep the food in the store cold they had the AC set beyond what is acceptable. I couldn’t figure out why until I got to the freezer section. I was wearing jeans and sweatshirt and I was losing feeling in my hands. Legitimately. People were talking about it as we went down every aisle.Lastly and probably most importantly the majority of produce looks unsellable. And the meat is a close second. Barely wrapped and leaking as well. With respect to all I think this place needs to be shut down, cleaned up and reopened.

Good store. Abington is way better though. I mostly just shop here when I happen to be in the neighborhood.

Best store I have ever been in, absolutely no lines and no running children anywhere! The robot was polite and even got out of the way! I gave it 4 stars because I couldnt find a single person to help me out which was needed at self check but all the employees are outside for some reason.

The store itself is nice but the scan it system - both the store guns and the mobile app - has been down/intermittently working since before Thanksgiving!! Totally unacceptable!! Other stores (Hingham, Braintree) don’t have this problem - why does this store? So much for the convenience of scanning, bagging one’s own groceries and quick check out. Incredibly annoying - pls FIX IT!!

I highly recommend the scanner when they are slammed (which it oft). This place struggles to compete, I love it for certain things. I’m so spoiled having it sandwiched between Shaw’s and Wally I get the best prices near home no traveling to Market Basket for me!

Ever since the strike, the Weymouth S&S keeps getting worse, with abysmal customer service, a dirty stote and never enough help, especially on a Saturday. Compare with Market Basket, which always has plenty of competent professional human beings to serve you, immaculate stores and superior quality and service. I only go here out of desperation or when Im pressed for time. I so wish Market Basket would come to Weymouth and give the equally execrable Shaws some much-needed competition. To be clear: It isnt the workers who are bad; its the management that sucks, and it shows.

The cashier looked like she was ready to go home. (5/14 at 9:50am) She was rude. Did not look at me, 0 talking or asked for my SS card. (by the way.. her name is Patricia) The prices already crazy so the costumers deserve to at least be treated nicelly.

This Stop & Shop is the worst. Never have I witnessed before more unrest amongst the workers... in-fighting in every Department openly arguing with each other, especially the bakery. People stocking shelves so discourteous and rude, they openly act as though the customers are hindrances in their way. Reality check - without the customers you wouldnt have a job. How about stocking the shelves during off hours not prime time Christmas shopping. Today to my surprise I had a bagger at checkout, I usually do it myself... so I get home to find that some of the things werent put in my bag that I paid for. Fantastic! guess Ill be back for more abuse. This entire store needs team building training, or some general management oversight to stop employees from being rude inconsiderate and self centered. You are provinding a service to the community, perhaps a service mindset would be better.

Do yourself a favor and got to the Hingham stop&shop. They have better selections and sell alcohol. The weymouth stop&shops meat dept, deli dept and seafood dept are lacking as well as the cashiers on the front end. There are always lines at this location. Some of the prices are outrageous.

Why does the store smell like rancid oil? And why cant I get the smell out of my head?Update: Oct 2020. Can still smell the rancid oil from deli/prepared foods. No other S&S has this issue.

Start out with only a couple of baskets (outside) of the building, so they are wet from the rain - not inside where you would normally store them. Off to the produce section and lets see, no bananas, only a handful of (not so fresh) broccoli heads to pick from, and an unimpressive array of options in general. Now headed to grab bread - well the layout of the store is not like most others, instead of having the bakery and the bread isle adjacent/next to each other, they are on opposite sides of the store...brilliant!Just another disappointing visit. Wegmans if you are reading this, we desperately need you on the south shore.

Beware the premade/grab-and-go items if you have sensitivities/allergies -- this place mislabels and doesnt give ingredient lists. I have a sensitivity to capsaicin, my package labeled mac and cheese bites turned out to be jalapeno poppers and the corn and crab soup also contains jalapeno, which Ive never before encountered in this type of soup and there was no ingredient list to warn me.Didnt end up needing a hospital, but the discomfort that came from the two mouthfuls of the soup before I realized there was a problem made for an irritating afternoon and the wasted money didnt help.

Id like to bring extra attention to the Deli...It was super busy & a gentleman that normally doesnt work in the Deli waited on my Mother & I. She really wanted her Kayem stick Bologna & Nothing I said was going to change that (She has Alzheimers) I have no idea how he did it but before I knew it; there she was eating a slice of Boars Head bologna Loving every bite! And the next thing I knew we were walking away with 3/4 lb of it. Such Amazing C/S skills on behalf of the Deli clerk! The way he was able to turn our situation around was Amazing! I even asked him if he had a degree in Psychology. (He said No) but you wouldve thought otherwise. Thank you Weymouth S&S

I would of only gave 1 star but the manager saved this review to earn them two stars. Very rude employees. Especially the heavy girl they have doing security by self check out. They ran out of an item I always buy so I asked her if she could help me and her reply was, youll have to ask someone else, Im security. She shouldve at least pointed me to someone who could help. I proceed to have numerous failed attempts until I found a manager who went out of her way. Who does the hiring here?
