Open late with a chill environment (and a couch!), excellent housemade wellness teas and plentiful seating and electrical outlets for charging. Parking was easy tonight, and there are options in front and rear. Kombucha and CBD Sparkling Water options are available as well.My biggest beef is that they give you a 2-hour WiFi limit code upon purchase that takes you though a login page for WiFi access. Sort of a pain that seems unnecessary. Despite the other pros for this place, I wont likely return given this WiFi policy.
Love this spot, great place to work from. Excellent drinks and that chocolate chip cookie is to die for. Ill definitely be back!
Hit up this place late on our first full day in Denver. Only coffee shop open late in the area. Our jetlag was hitting us hard and we needed to rally! Young man at the counter was very friendly and patient. Latte was delicious and definitely hit the spot! So thankful for them on that night!
Amazing coffee. The best place to study and write. It truly is an oasis.Because of my love for this place I must add that Ive now been all across the Denver metro area, and even in far away small town cafes THIS BY FAR is THE BEST CAFÉ in Colorado. Yes, THE WHOLE STATE. :)Ill stand by that because Ive never found such a place where I can get excellent coffee, and I mean better than any other place youd hoped to go, and a place where the quiet hum and buzz of conversation mixed with the jazz, and warm lighting gives me such a sense of being home.I can sink into whatever it is I want to write, or research, with a warm cup of perfectly frothed coffee in my hand. The staff is always very kind. And no, not in the customer service how-may-I-serve you way, but the warm welcome in, stay awhile, and Ill remember your order for next time type.Whoever decided to open this shop, I give most props to you. Because it seems out of all the cafes Ive been, yours is the only one which truly feels like a home away from home.
Love this place for coffee/breakfast/studying only wish parking was better but can’t do anything about it.
Have been going here for years and I have nothing but great things to say. The staff kills it everytime, professional and a little whimsy. Every coffee I try is spot on-I love the bardo with oat milk. The burritos are fire and specifically for the vegan muffins are worth the trip. I recently purchased coffee beans for my Pour over and these were phenomenal as well. You can’t go wrong this is a great place to support.
First of all, customer service here was mediocre at best. Kind of was treated like we were an inconvenience for being there at 7 in the morning. Then, we got two hot drinks and a few breakfast burritos. The drinks had no flavor to them at all and one of our burritos had hair in it. Overall, our experience was not pleasant. Very disappointing considering that we were pretty excited to try it out.
This place used to be one of my favorite spots. Awesome staff, great coffee, burritos, atmosphere, space. HOWEVER, it is unbearably hot in the summer. Literally sweat just sitting there. I cant even think or work on what I need to work on because it is so F@%/ing hot!!! Maybe give it a chance again in the winter. (It was 92°F today and sitting outside on the patio felt substantially cooler than being inside...)
Love, love, love this place! Nice, efficient staff with great choices in drinks and treats. Ambiance is great with lots of student-types on computers and nothing raucous.
One of the very few coffee places open late! They have a good selection of teas. A few snack items. I wish there was a bit more options for snacks. Their coffee is good. The interior is well thought out. Lots of seating and most have power connection. Seating is comfortable. They also have sofas. Even though there was a lot of people late at night, there was still space to sit. There is even a fireplace. They have a selection of games and books available.Overall a great place to go hangout and not worry about closing early.
Always a pleasant experience, the team is very efficient, and products are always tastey
Amazing amazing amazing. Coffee as FABULOUS, and the atmosphere is so chill. Love the conversion theyve done on the building to make it work for a coffee shop, but still keep its charm. Loved it!
The Bardo latte quad shot was the perfect rocket fuel I needed this morning! Service was friendly and quick!
Great Coffee and Staff. Lots of customers enjoying the welcoming layout.
I feel compelled to write a review after another bad experience this morning. The coffee is great. The atmosphere is great, lots of room and a really cool mid-century modern vibe. Generous parking. Supporting local businesses is important. However, the staff is consistently and unnecessarily rude, as if you’re disturbing them by being there. I can’t understand the reason. I gave them the benefit of doubt the first few times but it’s left such a bad taste in my mouth I won’t be going back. Being treated with disdain first thing in the morning is just not how I personally like to start my day.
I visited Bardo to work on my computer. There were ample outlets and a cozy couch. The staff was kind and with the option to add CBD - my Turmeric Latte with Coconut milk became an anti-inflammatory tonic :|:
My favorite place to study at.The offer a variety of drinks from coffee, tea and even alcoholic beverages .Very calm environment, staff is extremely friendly!!!!
Love this shop, always clean and the staff is amazing. Drink selection is great and rarely do I find something I dont like. Lines with the virus can be a little long, but at the end of the day the coffee is worth it. Been coming back over a year now! Short walk from the apartment, and a great place to just sit down for a little bit and plan the days of your meal to get your own meal together with the family and the family in our
Uncrowded when I visited. Decent selection, good menu. I would definitely return, and recommend to friends.
Lots of food and drink options, great mid-mod interior design, friendly staff, and plenty of places to sit. I really like this place, and whenever I have guests visit they make it a regular morning stop too. Happy to have this place in my neighborhood.
Great coffee and best coffee shop to hang out at, have a meeting, or get a little work done! They have some of the best seating arrangements and a comfy couch. Plus, they have some of the more unique drink options (Blonde, Zebra, etc.)!!
Ive never tried out the bar but the coffee is great! They have so many drink options not to mention syrup flavors and milks!I personally like an iced oat milk latte with blackberry and lavender. It tastes like a blackberry cobbler! So good.
Great place to hang! Peaceful enviroment and loved the caramel latte
They always have the best coffee drinks. Sean and Justin are there on the weekends typically. They are friendly and talkative while getting everyone out quickly if there is a long line.
Refused to serve us bc I dropped my wife off in the handicap section. Was trying to move but on coming tracking made it difficult to move. She would serve my wife till we moved. We will never come back here again.
I got an Iced Toddy 3/4 filled with ice, and a little bit of cold brew which I understand is concentrated I asked for whole milk instead of cream and the guy making it put a splash of milk by this time its a third full then he adds water to the rest and makes the coffee taste completely disappear. Coffee smelt good when I walked in but get better people behind the counter that arent as lazy or just more common sense. Have to get another cup after this smh, obviously somewhere else
Wonderful atmosphere inside the shop. Great employees and to top it off the coffee itself was some of the best Ive ever had
Service was prompt and friendly, prices are good.
In person coffee in a real mug!! You get two hours of internet with a $2.00+ purchase (actually $3 because you better tip!) so be sure to plan for that. The atmosphere is comfortable and makes me feel productive. My favorite place to do work
I really love this coffee shop. Great hours, outlets at every table, and the best chai of all the west Denver coffee shops Ive tried
This has quickly become my favorite go to café! The atmosphere is perfect for late night studying. There is plenty of space between tables and people are really good at wearing their masks when up and about. Most importantly, the service is INCREDIBLE! Gabby is attentive, kind, and outgoing. Claire is joyful, helpful, and always seems to be working hard. All of the staff is great, these two just stand out from the rest.I highly recommend coming here for a date, interview, homework session, or work day.
Everyone at my office got something, well half of us. Absolutely loved it all! No complaints. I got the latte Viennese which is fall like but not too overbearing. Going to try the chai next.
It was the first time my wife and i have been here and we had a great time, even during a busy rush we where given timely a efficient service
Obsessed with Bardo! This coffee shop is the only reason I kept my sanity while trying to work from home during the pandemic. Drinks are always on point and staff is so friendly!
Could not decide on a coffee, asked the barista to surprise me. She made me a Blondie, and by far one of the best coffees I have ever had. Staff is very friendly, place is clean, and prices are just like any other coffee shop.
They have some of the best coffees in the world to fulfill your cravings. Anything on the menu was delectable. When I went there last week, I was able to demonstrate this.
Our local coffee spot we love going to, their lattes and pastries are unbeatable with a very relaxed environment to sit inside
Great place to get some work done
It was amazing loved it. Especially the coffee drink I had
Wonderful barista service for coffee drinks later into the evening
Very good coffee and food. Typically busy but staff are always cheerful. I go out of my way to get coffee here.
Sooo.. I decided to stop by this coffee house, after looking for a cafe, that was open during covid, and allowed in-restaurant dining. I made several attempts to visit it, but no matter the time of day, I was unable to do so, as they were popular, and did not have space available, on my first 3 attempts- On my 3rd attempt, the clerk politely suggested I could wait on the wooden chair next to the garbage can, for my turn. -Local culture.Anyway, on my fourth attempt, after a quick stop at Taco Bell (review to follow) I hit the jackpot, as they had spaces available, and I was finally able to place an order!I was delighted, and looked over their tea selection, which looked marvelous, but ultimately settled on an Americano (I like coffee).I also chose a vegan apple nut muffin, and asked for it warmed, which the clerk said was possible. Im rather glad I did, as it would have been terrible cold. The decor lived up to its image, with lighting fixtures, and furniture that generally matched up.The Americano was quite hot, which was a lovely surprise, and would have made wonderful tea, a rarity in Colorado. If you drink tea, and dont care about the following, go here!As she grabbed my change, and handed it back to me over the tip jar, I took the hint, and left the 1s, and the rest of my coinage. Noting the sign on my table, that said If you wish to sit at this table, please let staff know, so we can sanitize it, I asked if it was okay to sit there. She said, Sure, that stop sign is just there, so we can sanitize the table, between customers, and proceeded to tell me where the sanitizer, and paper towels were kept, by the printer, in the back (Yay! They have a printer)! When I was done spraying down my own table, in advance of my arrival, I logged into their wifi, with the provided code, and awaited my muffin, which was in a stovetop oven. She brought it over to me. when she was done handling the change for some new customers, and I went in search of utensils, until I found a coffee stick to cut it with, and proceeded to take a bite. Not bad, but I was glad I had ordered it warmed, as it had been sitting in the display case, at least all day, and was quite stale. Happily, I didnt notice any fruit flies hovering over it, or cooked on it, which would have devastated me, as I am a vegan. The wifi has a limit of 120 minutes, Im not sure if that is a daily maximum, or what you would need to do after that time, if you were not done. Order another muffin?Happily, I will be quite done by that time, as I am wrapping the bottom half of my vegan muffin in the aluminum foil to take with me, which I will dispose of later, if Roy doesnt want it (my cat)..If you are coming for hot tea, and dont plan on a pastry later in the day, and dont mind wiping your own table, this might be a win!For me, I might try out another establishment next time, to see if they have equally good tea, fresh muffins, and table service. Thanks for reading!
Cute atmosphere, great beer and coffee! Strong wifi too!
Amazing coffee. Great service. If you want to pay for cheap coffee go to McDonalds for the $1 cup. If yoi want full flavored, deep flavors go to Bardos! They serve Kaladi Bros coffee which my friend opened her shop with. Any coffee connoisseur will love this place!!
Yes, This is the coffee house youre looking for.Probably one of the best breakfast burritos in town too
Drinks are great, service is spot on, and the space is relaxing.
First time coming here with my boyfriend, I got a iced oat milk latte and he just got a bacon breakfast burrito (he’s not a coffee person) and we both LOVED IT! Everyone working there today were great, we will definitely be back
This place is the bees knees! From the decor to the beverages to the overall vibe! Everything is spot on 👌 I love that this is open later than other traditional coffee shops! It is easily my go to spot and some of the freshest coffee Ive ever had!!! Mmmm ☕🤤 the coffee is good enough to drink black! That says alot. It is smooth, flavorful, and just perfection! But their lattes, chais, and other flavored drinks are delicious too! 😋
Love Bardo! Everyone is usually very nice here and I think their coffee drinks are amazing. Breakfast burritos are good. Khombucha is good. Almost everything here is always really good. Definitely go!
Adorable space, good coffee. A real gem!
Great local place to grab coffee. They have tables inside and out. Also, a good amount of parking.
Love this place and the staff, I get more done in 3 hours than all day at home online.
Obsessed with this place. Do yourself a favor and get a mocha framboise. Great for studying, and open til midnight!
Great place & staff! I frequent this location & the one on Broadway. Highly recommend you try them.
Good coffee. Good wifi. Good atmosphere.
Good. Local. Small business.Be a good consumer and patronize small businesses.
Quite good coffee! An artisanal treat if you’re looking for something that’s not a Starbucks.
Love this shop, always clean and the staff is amazing. Drink selection is great and rarely do I find something I dont like. Lines with the virus can be a little long, but at the end of the day the coffee is worth it. Been coming back over a year now! Short walk from the apartment, and a great place to just sit down for a little bit and plan the day
Excellent coffee. Great place to meet up with friends and chat for a while.
Coffee and atmosphere was great! Get there early because they tend to have a line out the door, but it moves really quick! Ill definitely be back.
I am a big fan of their Cafe on South Broadway. I was excited to try this location and they did not disappoint. My latte was perfect and my partners black coffee was fresh and delicious. I will definitely return.
Rude barista who did not acknowledge me when standing right in front of her ready to order and instead chose to finish her long conversation about a red rocks concert. She then proceeded to put my food on the other end of the bar knowing full well I was sitting less than 6ft away from her and could of handed it to me then. Very disappointing.
Beautiful cafe, its got good prices and good vibes.
Excellent spicy Chai Latte, friendly baristas. Great place!
Cute local coffee house. Parking can be a hassle.
Great coffee shop before covid. Still great during covid, but you cant hang out inside so thats a bummer
Great service. Good breakfast burritos
Great place to sit, have meetings, do some work, etc. Awesome coffee and snacks, ample seating and tables and fully stocked with tons of electrical outlets. Plus there is usually a place to sit because the WiFi passwords are only good for so long, so lessens people’s tendency to camp out all day long. Fair price to pay for reliably being able to actually sit and work when you arrive. Oh and they’re open late so that’s cool, too!
Cuuuuuute indoor seating. It looks questionable on the outside but inside its cozy and open. The drinks are really yummy, highly recommend the mocha framboise
A little pricy, especially if you add extras like CBD, but they do make excellent espresso drinks.
Love their lattes and cheese danishes
The Chai was missing my vanilla I ordered
No tables available unless you are on your laptop. Very disappointed that people sit at a table for hours and nothing available for other patrons. Same prices as Starbucks. 😕
Great coffee, pastries and other drink options. Friendly staff, cute decor and great prices.
This coffee shop looks great on the inside and has a little outdoor space too. The coffee was fine as well as the pastries. Im giving Bardo a low score because they didnt use COMMON SENSE about protecting patrons from the spread of COVID. In Denver county people have to wear masks indoors but since Bardo is in JeffCo, they didnt enforce this policy because it went to Level Orange precautions the next day at 9 PM! The cafe workers wore masks but the customers didnt have to. This was just plain risky and stupid. Im not going to Bardos anymore.
Bardos has a really good variety of drinks and food, and even now (Late July) theyre doing a great job having spots open indoors and outdoors to sit for a bit. Their coffee options are pretty extensive both in terms of type (brewed, espresso, hot, cold) and flavors, and local roasters are featured. They also carry kombucha, beer, and wine if youre so inclined. Highly recommended if youre in the area.
This place can be super busy at times and seating does get a lil spotty, but I love the energy of it and they make the best drinks in North Denver hands down.
LOVE this place! The baristas are epic. The drinks are delicious and varied, and the snack food is pretty yum too. GREAT hours, so give them a try day or night
Amazing drinks! They just taste better here. Atmosphere is nice, many people using this space to do work on their computers. Seating is fairly limited, but its busy for a reason. Highly recommend either of the locations.
The best hot chocolate ☕️
Laid back open floorplan with so many places to sit. Great quality espresso (I had an almond milk latte... One of the best Ive had) and wonderful food (egg burrito). I love the natural light and the myriad of uses this shop hosts... Laptop, reading, chatting, meeting. Bravo, Wheat Ridge Bardo.
WiFi has a time limit. What is this, an internet cafe in Europe from the early 90s?Edit after owner reply: so its not free :)
Great coffee and quick service. Another example of the amazing passion that Denver has for coffee!
Best local coffee joint around! Recommend the rustic...you can only get it in the evenings when batista Jake is in...lovely deliciousness
My go to coffee place when I need a pick me up. The batistas are always quick & have some great recommendations.
Awesome coffee. Like seriously
I come here kinda often, and the red haired female (presenting) barista will never hand my friends or I (asian and black) wifi codes after we ask and will tell us we need a $2 purchase (which we do purchase, we just fail to ask a wifi code at the time of purchase lol) and will question us kinda thoroughly if we really did purchase something before reluctantly giving us a wifi code. Thought this was just normal behavior for every customer because it makes sense. But today I sat behind the bar and saw a couple of white people came to the bar and asked her for a wifi code (they may or may not have purchased something idk), and I noticed she didnt ask them any follow up questions, or tell them about the $2 rule and just happily gave them a wifi code 🥴 Then my friend (black) had went up and asked for a wifi code and he had bought a pastry under an hour ago, and she started questioning to see if he really purchased something. Just thought I should mention her behavior because I tend to see a lot of poc here! Really enjoy this coffee shop, but her behavior was weird and really offputting.
Chill spot. Cant wait til COVID is over
Very poor experience. Staff was rude, as if I should just get out with my coffee and not stay. I usually like to bring a book or laptop and hang out with my coffee and enjoy the atmosphere but the woman at the counter made it very clear that I was not welcome. Also, the coffee really was watered down, tasting like some kind of excuse for a hospital cafeterias idea of a good cup of joe. No art on the walls, no real character. I cant imagine the kind of tasteless drone that actually enjoys coming here. I hope covid wreaks you, which I am sure will happen soon.
