We ordered a Northwest Door from American Garage Door. The door is very high quality and for the most part we are happy with the door. Northwest makes a beautiful door but we did have some warranty issues which took a long time to solve. American did a good job wading through the issues and were good communicators. The techs at AGD were also incredibly polite, professional and willing to work with me (I am very particular). I especially appreciate the personal service I received from Scott, one of the owners, who followed up to make sure we were happy with our purchase. If you have a little time the Northwest door is a beauty and worth the wait and investment.

Had technician by the name of Dolton come out to take a look at the bracket on my door. It broke off the stud. Dolton hit me up when he was on his way and when he was here. Timely, extremely efficient. He had the bracket bent back, new screws and re-tensioned the spring in under an hour. Super professional and a cool dude! I had a terrible experience with this company.They installed the garage doors on my new house, and there were numerous problems which I noticed immediately after investigating the horrible racket they made every time they opened and closed.They werent securely attached to the house, the panels were crooked, bolts werent screwed in correctly, the angle of the tracks was not square, the doors didnt seal to the house ... the list goes on.I had different technicians from their company out on 4 different occasions, and they would spend as little time as possible addressing any issues, claim that they were just crummy garage doors, and leave without any improvement.I never imagined someone could do such a terrible job with such a simple piece of equipment.

Chella is such an up beat person with a great personality, it is always nice to have someone great to talk to when you first call a new business.We had a super old garage door on our house built in the 60s... It was practically falling off the house. We spoke with Dan and he quickly came by and got us a quote for replacement. I bought 2 Genie remote openers from American Garage Door less than a year ago, and both remotes have literally fallen apart. The first one failed within about 5 months and the 2nd failed yesterday, locking me out of my house. I drove over to American Garage door during their posted business hours, but nobody was there so I called their phone # and nobody answered, prompting me to their emergency option, which of course nobody answered. I left a message, didnt get a response, and so finally called the owners phone # which was included as the final option if emergency didnt call back. I left the owner a message, and never recd any response. Keep in mind, this was at around 4 in the afternoon, not in the middle of the night.What terrible service. Im a small business owner and would never ignore a customer message like this owner did.Dont do business with this company. They sell lousy products, and ignore customers who need help. I called one of their competitors who actually answered the phone and helped me out.

Booked an appointment on Tuesday for the following Monday to repair a broken spring; between eight and ten. Almost a week of no garage access and then they didn’t show. No call. We called at ten: no excuses, no apologizes, will call when 30 minutes out. Called at noon: still no apologizes or an estimated arrival. We punted and called another company. They fixed in no time: cheaper. In these days of easy communication this isn’t a good business model.

5 star on labor and professional service. They worked me in the very next day and couldnt have been more professional or responsive. I definitely recommend them if you need help with your garage door.

I recently had Joe out to assess why my garage door was moving only halfway up and down. I’m giving 3 stars because while they were pleasant and easy to schedule, I wasn’t informed it was $99 just to give an estimate, and also upon arriving Joe looked quickly at the door and motor and said definitively it was the motor because it was 20+ years old. I asked him various times if he was sure and he was absolutely sure. Then he tried very hard to sell me a new motor for a minimum of $450. I declined and he lubricated the door because he said he still had to charge me $99 for coming out (for a total of less than 15 minutes and while I hadn’t been informed of the price).Afterwards my husband took a look at it and asked if he lubricated the rails because it didn’t look like it. I told him I think he just lubed the door and that he was adamant it was the motor. My husband was skeptical, went to Home Depot, bought lube and applied it. $10 later it has been working like a dream again for the past few weeks. So while I don’t doubt that the motor is old and may need to be replaced soon, this was not the case now and I would not use this company again for this reason-he was more interested in selling a new motor than covering all bases and really assessing what was the primary issue.

AGD replaced a broken spring on my Wayne Dalton garage door. When I set up the first service call, the technician arrived at my house to tell me they had the wrong spring for my door opener model. They got the correct part a week later and the technician promptly came to my home on schedule and replaced the spring in a timely manner. The technician was very nice and apologized for their earlier mistake. AGD gave me a discount off the total bill for the inconvenience which I appreciated. The technician also lubricated the hinges and hardware on my garage door. I would recommend AGD to others.

Im not an avid online reviewer, but this company and its employees deserve one. My first experience with American Garage Door was from a broken spring on one of my doors a few months back. They sent a Master Tech out (Joe) to assess and measure the spring, which required a custom made spring. A couple of days later, a different Tech (also very professional and thorough) came out to install them. He replaced both springs, and took the extra time to fine tune adjust my doors so that they closed as smooth as possible.A few months later, our home was hit by lightning and the power surge fried the logic board on both of my openers. One opener wouldnt close anymore, the other one still works but the light function does not. I called American Garage Door and, once again, was very impressed with Joes sharing of knowledge, professionalism, and quick turnaround with the installation of a new opener. Joe talked me out of buying two new openers, just like he tried to talk me out of buying 2 new springs from before. This time, I took his advice and just replaced what was actually broken.Im usually a very skeptical shopper; always feeling like Im being upsold. I absolutely will be doing business with American Garage Door when my other door opener finally kicks the bucket. -Ill probably celebrate a little too, because my new LiftMaster opener is awesome! We were looking for a local Wayne Dalton dealer/installer and asked American Garage Door and several others (local, national, and cut-rate companies from Val-U-Pak-type mail advertisements) to bid a job that turned out to be more complex than expected. American Garage Doors Residential sales guy spotted the extra work and his quote was competitive with other bidders who then added hundreds when I asked them about those details.They gave us patient, knowledgeable help picking out doors and operators, and were able to install the doors a week or so after we placed the order. The tech worked a long day making sure everything fit into our oddly shaped garage; he was also friendly and Very professional and left our place cleaner than he found it, with doors that may outlast the building.When we moved a few months later, we hired American Garage Door without getting other bids and the service was exactly the same: fair price, short lead time, good communication, punctual, high quality workmanship. Finally a company that did what they promised. A delivery van damaged a panel on my 8 year old oversized wood garage door. I learned that the company that installed the door no longer carries doors by that manufacturer. I had 3 different companies come to the house for estimates, all but one said they carry the brand. No one got back to me. Even after I called and left messages. I called the manufacturer who gave me the name of the local distributer who gave me the name of American Garage Door. They sent an estimator who got back to me in a timely manner. The panel was in stock locally, and the door was repaired within a few days. Everyone was wonderful to deal with. I will use them again.

We had a panel replaced today and Eric did a great job.

We had 5 doors installed. Four had wiring for the sensors that was so poorly connected they pulled free making the doors quit working and we had to request multiple service visits. Also, when I had a problem only 4 months after I moved into my new home that made the door unusable they told me they couldnt come fix it for a week unless I was willing to pay them a trip charge plus $95/ hour labor then they could come that day to repair my door. Thats a horrible policy!
