Inquired over the phone (45 min drive) on needing 2x Iron Cobra Wooden Beaters. Got them for you was his response. Fight traffic to get there, buy product and trustingly got back in car. Upon inspection in parking lot, one is labeled CB90W (correct), the other CB90F (wrong). Stems are different and neither comes with weights. Looking closer the wood is shaped differently, different sizes and completely different types of wood. Just paid for two new Wooden Beaters that weigh differently and have different bounce properties. This place will lie just to make a dollar. Never going back.

The brothers that own it took it over from their Dad and you can really feel the love they have for the place and for providing the best products and service for their customers. When I was getting started with my new band in 2003, I talked to Tim the Drum God and he hooked me up with a sick set at a great price. I recently decided to upgrade to a slightly more professional set and I was looking around at used sets online when I ran across Tims used sets on Reverb and realized I should just call him. Sure enough, not only is he still there, but hes as helpful and knowledgeable as ever. These guys have always been really fantastic at helping musicians out and being respectful of budgets and needs. Theyre always enthusiastic about their products, but dont foist unwelcome opinions on their customers, which is a huge thing in the musical instrument world. Cant honestly recommend enough. Went in looking for a base for a cymbal stand and a base for a roto-tom stand. The owner showed me an economical way to buy just one stand base and combine the rotos and cymbal onto one stand. Saved me money and earned a customer. Very professional.

Decided today was a good day to go look for (one more) guitar. Hadn’t been to Drum City in a while and I have to say that this might have been the best experience I’ve ever had at a guitar shop. Jason spent a lot of time asking specifics and showing me inventory. When I was done noodeling on one axe, he had another one on deck ready for me to plug in. Like the other reviews say - drive by the chain store and spend your money here. We are really lucky to have this establishment in our area.

This place is amazing, if you dont want to walk out of a guitar store with the same gear everyone else has from GC, I recommend the drive here no matter where in the state you live, Id say this shop caters more to the Rocker/ Metal head, but there is a little bit of everything around here to appeal to all genres. Every time I walk in here there are at least 15 new guitars on the wall. Dont let the Guitar dude scare you, hes so very nice just an introvert obviously so dont let that drive ya off. This place is tops, as a gigging musician I just dont see myself going anywhere else.

Great local music store, great gear and guys. Worked with Tim (part owner with his brother) to put together a custom set of Istanbul Agop cymbals. I HIGHLY recommend going this route over buying a standard kit online. Sure, I could have spent a little less buying online, but I wouldnt have been able to try them out (we went through about five 8 in. splashs before finding the right one - this is a lot better than rolling the dice online), mix-and-match to get the sound and characteristics that resonated with me (kits on line are going to be one type, e.g. brilliant or power - I got both!), or get Tims expert opinion based on years of selling gear to drummers of all levels and styles. These new cymbals have made a huge impact on my sound and desire to play - in fact, I called Tim up later that day to thank him! Theyre also one of, if not THE biggest, sellers of Istanbul cymbals in the country. Right here in Wheat Ridge!

This place definitely is what the store name says. They are all about the instruments, which is cool. I came by to see if they had any condenser microphones for vocalists, and they only had mics for drums. However, they did refer me to another store for the kind of microphone I was looking for, which I thought was very noble of them. That referral is what got them 5 stars from me because thats the kind of customer service I look for (plus I really like local places). So, if you are looking for musical equipment for anything other than for vocals, this is your place to go.

Ive been playing drums for 18 years, and Ive been a mediocre guitar player for about 8. I always go to these guys first when I want to spend some money. Ive always been met with amazing customer service and great prices. They go out of their way to take care of you. Theyve given me great prices on cymbals and they take care of getting you a warrant replacement when they break. All you have to do is drop off the broken one with a receipt and theyll call you when the replacement comes in. Badass! This is the best local shop Ive found in Colorado!

The older guy who works here is so extremely brand loyal that he makes me feel defensive for liking the brands and equipment that I like. Its one thing to advertise the things you love about a brand or piece of equipment, but its another thing to completely trash talk the brands and equipment that your customer loves. Definitely wont be coming back here again.
