Traveling and found this gem right off the highway. Stopped in for an amazing freshly made sandwich and the most amazing individual serving chocolate dessert. Also found two nice bottles of wine. Ate lunch on their breezy glam front porch! It’s a must to stop by this beautiful mansion!

This place was a gorgeous gem! They have actual French chefs and the food reflects this fact. There literally isnt anything I wouldnt recommend. Good Mansion Wines not only has a massive selection of great wines, but an amazing grocery, deli, and bakery selection. If you go any where in Wheeling, go here.

This place is so nice and welcoming. We were just having a leisurely day and in our slum clothes and were a little nervous to visit because we assumed we would be underdressed but despite it being so nice outside and in the service there is so so sweet. They directed us toward a really good wine, one of my new favorites. They didnt have lunch at the time so we actually came back the next day with some of our friends and sat on the porch and ate lunch and some desserts and it was TOO DIE FOR. So good. Im local and this is a Wheeling hidden gem.

I wish I had pictures of this place. A wonderful find after the bakery I wanted to shop at had closed. This place is the real deal. A full French bakery in the back of a mansion. The pastries and croissants were delicious. Go in earlier for a bigger selection. They have fresh homemade pasta with imported semolina flour and super helpful and friendly staff. Will stop back whenever we are passing through. Look for the red carpet leading up to the mansion.

No reason to give less than 5 stars. Small intimate shop with a variety of Italian/French/European imported products. Reasonable prices for most items. Fresh sandwiches made to order. Nice people working, beautiful building, nice porch set up outside for dining. The only thing I wish they could do legally would be to sell wines by the glass for consumption there on site but alas, they still provide a generous tasting of wines with the sandwiches we ordered and ate on premises. We were able to sample a white, a rose and a red, with our lunch. Beautiful presentation of food and drinks, really a pleasant experience overall.

We only came for desserts on this particular day but cant wait to return for the all the other goodies we spotted. Huge wine and cheese selection available. Fresh, handmade desserts crafted by people with a serious talent and love of food and art. They also had many pastas, including some fresh in the case near the desserts. All of this placed in a beautifully aged but cared for mansion. Love the stained glass. Everyone was friendly and provided great service.

Everyone working was extremely knowledgeable and personable!! The selection of olive oils, breads, meats, cheeses, sweets and wine was absolutely amazing!! We will keep coming back!

A hidden gem.when one could have 7 events .big. in one place at one time..Beyond substantial its built like a military fort.a very safe feeling on all 5 floors.its the biggest venue in the tri-state area.Bam! Cant wait,roxbys modernization has a lot of thought and is not sparing any upgrade in this period art treasure.

This place has me sold - great, expansive selection of wine and such a wide variety of imported and high quality grocery items. I love how excited their chef Renaud was for me to try his liver pate recipe this week, which ended up being superb. Ordered sandwiches here as well and thought it was such a nice touch for them to throw in their flatbread and orange cookies to our bag. I’ll be back for sure.

I absolutely love this place! My boyfriend swears that the cafe Americano is a mirror image of those he had in Paris. So ontop of having the best wine selections the coffee and deli items as well as the desserts are spectacular!!!

Love this place! My best friend and I enjoy having wine & cheese discovery evenings, and Good Mansion has so many great, imported selections to choose from. Just walking in the door makes me realize its going to be a good, relaxing night.

Would like to give this place a higher review but... We came looking for a mead so we could get an idea of how maybe our own home-brewed mead might taste, and also wanted a sweet red wine to compare to one we had brewed ourselves. The clerk asked us if we were looking for sweet or dry, we told her sweet, and she encouraged us to try this red wine on display at the front of the store; reassuring us that nobody ever complained about the wine. It was very dry and bitter, probably THE WORST red wine I’ve ever tasted. She clearly used basic sales tactics to push us to buy a poorly selling red wine they wanted rid of. If we were there for a dry wine, I would show mercy here. They were friendly, and stayed open a few extra minutes to let us make our selections, but I am not pleased with how a very poor wine was dumped on us because she wanted to make a sale on it. Would go again, but I won’t take their wine recommendations next time.Edit: After your response I did a little more looking into this wine and some note it as “sweet” due to it being an off-dry wine and having residual sugars, however I would be careful when recommending that as a sweet wine as compared to dry, because off-dry is still not necessarily sweet. However due to a valid response and many noting it as sweet still, I’ll cut you some slack and up this rating slightly. Apologies for the misunderstanding.

Good Mansion Wines is like Wheelings safe haven for foodies. Yes theres a wine selection, but theres so much more. Its one of the few places Ive stumbled across that honors the art of eating. Even if passing through its worth a stop for coffee to go or stocking up on cheese or other aperitivo staples.

This place is entirely awesome. The wine selections are outstanding. Wonderful selection of Italian and French wines. (A nice break from Californias overpriced and over rated wine. Although I spotted some wine from my favorite CA wineries.) The owner has a niche -quality offerings-cheese, bread, Italian/French bakery, novelty food offerings including unique olive oils, and balsamic for the experienced palate. Dominick knows his food and is a perfect host. If you are looking for a special day trip-bring the gang to Good Mansion Wines. It will not disappoint.

This was a good place to go to once. Wines, while there is a large selection, are pricey. We went to the lunch inside, and ordered a few of their Artisan sandwiches. They were disappointing. However, we saw that they worked hard to make them and so we did not complain as we did not want to make them feel bad. As we sat there, we went ahead and ordered some of their mushroom quiche, and dessert. The quiche was Exquisite. I really recommend this. The desert also was very decadent. Made up for the sandwiches big time. You will like going to this place. Give it a try

An absolutely fantastic winery, along with other unique items for sale such as imported cheese and homemade bakery items. I took my grandma here and we were both astonished at how amazing this place is, both in its appearance and all the items it has for sale :)Highly recommended! :)

Love this place. We always stop in every year when we come back to town for Christmas. Stock up on wine and pick an assortment of wonderful cheeses and pastries. And the old building has tremendous character!

An oasis of class, the bldg itself is something to see carved wood, old mansion gracious to say the least. . wine selection is par with any upper east side New York wine merchant. then go in the rear the deli/bakery a taste of Italy with the fine cheese the bread on a scale of ten an eleven. the crew is not only polite but informative. this is the way food and wine should be vended. EXCELLENT !

The IL ROMAGNOLO sandwich was a wonderful experience. The bread was crusty, the meat was light and sliced perfectly. I ate the whole thing! We will be back!

Cafe is wonderful. Bread, croissants, and quiches are all perfection. In my many visits, I’ve only ever had one item that wasn’t great, a soup that was bland. In that instance, not only did they refund me, they took it off the menu and began a new soup. That sort of devotion to quality is a rare and precious thing.

Friendly staff, old-world charm, great products!

Love this place. They offer so many varieties of wines and the owner was so helpful on my first visit. When my parents came to town, they fell in love with the bakery. We are from big city living and this makes it easier living in a smaller town. Businesses like this are much needed in Wheeling. I dont purchase my wine anywhere else, they always seem to have brands I can find no where else.

The place has an excellent wine selection. The bakery is the best french backery I have been to outside of france. Cheese and meat selection is also great. Friendly service, all inside of a beautiful mansion. I always have a great experience here.

Beautiful place, tons and tons of wine selections, great imports from Italy, plus the deli in the rear makes awesome cookies and pizza and things like that. This is worth the trip.

First Fridays are always a nice time to taste some wine and enjoy an appetizer. Enjoyed their homemade sausage on the baguettes from the grill.

Such a fun place to get some wine and cheese for the evening and grab lunch while your at it. Everyone is so knowledgeable in the respective areas. It was such a great experience.

This is the best thing to happen to Wheeling since the suspension bridge.While I love their international selection of common and rare wines as well as the well-curated selection of imported meats and cheeses at the deli in the back, its the new kitchen that makes this place shine. They completed culinary training in France and it shows in their detailed attention to balance of flavors, richness, and fresh ingredients.When I come home for the holidays, I look forward to two things: seeing family, and Good Mansion baguettes. I moved to New York City four years ago and have lived in Europe for short periods of time, yet this place still has the best baguette I have ever had.And dont get me started on the perfect cappuccino they offer for under $2.This place is not to be missed for a Saturday lunch or gourmet groceries.

I love this place. There really isnt much more to say. The owners are really knowledgeable and you can tell they put a lot of passion into it.

Attended a Happy Hour tasting yesterday evening. It was very informative. The wines selected for the region discussed were wonderful as was the information. The bread, meat & cheese were in an odd spot directly in front of the speaker (Dominic). There were people out in the hallway who probably didnt hear half of what was said because I was 6ft from him and missed much because of chatter and people getting the food. Looking forward to the new kitchen/addition coming into use. They need a better POS.

Great wine selection and I love the bakery/deli. I have had their fresh pasta, sandwiches, quiche and a few desserts and I loved everything! Chef Jeramy is super friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the support staff could be friendlier, however, I have felt unwelcome more than once.

GM is my favorite place to go for coffee. Its the best coffee you can get in Wheeling, and an Americano is $1. Their bread & pastries are delicious, and they give you free wine samples with lunch!

A nice surprise. On a road trip, we needed a bottle to bring to dinner at a stop at a friends house. There, in what looks to be someones house, is a cool, well stocked selection of quality wine. But wait, keep waking through the house/store and there is a cheesemonger with a really impressive collection of cheese! But wait, theres more: around the corner from the cheesemonger is a deli. With an impressive menu savory treats, and a selection of macarons and other fancy pastries, I found myself bummed that I didnt have time to spend in this gem.Almost felt like I stepped out of Wheeling and into a little side of Europe!

Omg. Having moved to the Wheeling area recently from a big city, I have become a bit of a coffee snob. In comes Good Mansion. My boyfriend brought me there because he knew Id appreciate their cafe/coffee (and obviously, the wine selection) and he didnt disappoint.They have amazing cappuccinos, americanos and pastries for incredibly reasonable prices. $1 americano? Give me 10, please. I love going in there because the place is clearly authentic and the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Contemplating asking if theyre hiring as my search for work has taken a bit longer than Id expected ;)Love it - keep doing you, Good Mansion!
