As a another business owner, I am severely disappointed in Don K Dealership’s delayed and lack of response to customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Don K. Dan Galvin, the salesman, mentioned that the truck we bought was “thoroughly mechanically inspected”, and “I ensure you it is in excellent condition”, “Don K only sells high quality vehicles”, and finally “if it pulls it is most likely the road as the road has large ruts”. Over the years we have bought 3 other trucks from Don K and have had numerous trucks serviced – oil changes to full transmission replacements, with no grievances.The truck we bought pulled to the right and had a shimmy at interstate speed(75 mph) - not identified in short test drive. To correct our trucks current problem he said it may “just be tire balance and wheel alignment it is no big deal.” I understand it is a used truck and mechanical issues can come with that territory, but I didn’t ask for it to be fully covered. To not even indicate a gesture of “good will” to make a satisfied customer as I just spent $48K, and are looking at spending $30K on a Subaru. Due to the history of relationship I had trusted Don K as a good dealership, and this past experience I cannot recommend Don K.I ended up taking the truck to Les Schwab for a wheel alignment and balance. We then went on a trip and ended up stranded in Bellingham as the power steering failed on the truck. Costing us $2000.00.

The team at Don K made this the most satisfying auto purchase I’ve ever had. I’m not the most qualified customer to walk through their doors. I am lucky enough to live in Whitefish, but I’m not the stereotypical Whitefish resident. I work extremely hard to be able to call this home and raise my son here. My credit isn’t perfect, my income is strong enough to allow me to reside here but not anything to brag about. I knew that as a consumer I wasn’t in the most ideal position to walk out with exactly what I wanted. That being said Jason, Clint, Justin, and Lydia got me approved almost immediately and I am now the proud owner of a 2021 Colorado Z71 with 10 miles on it! I have purchased many vehicles, some certified pre-owned, but never new. I have to say again this team truly impressed me with the way they handled this sale. I admit I felt a little pressure but in hindsight it’s because they knew what I wanted and if I hadn’t acted quickly I would’ve regretted it. Average 2 stars between my experiences of purchasing a new Subaru, servicing my old Subaru, using the body shop, and window tinting. If I could give 2 separate reviews, I would. The Subaru dealership and service department would get 5 stars for professionalism, quality & customer service. I highly recommend using John to purchase your new Subaru. He was responsive, polite and easy to work with.Window tinting gets 1 star. I had my front 2 windows tinted 3 times and they still have bubbling. I asked for a refund and they only gave me a partial refund. I asked for the remainder, was told they would look into it & never heard back. I have never had windows done so poorly.Body Shop also gets 1 star. They seem disorganized and had trouble finding my paperwork upon arrival. I was charged for my rental vehicle when it was supposed to be included with my repair, after making several calls I finally got reimbursed. When I picked up my new Forester from having body work done, there was white paint smeared all over the black molding on the bumper, on both sides. I went back inside to inquire, Vicki acted irritated with my question, and begrudgingly took a rag and wiped it off. I am surprised they dont give a final look over before giving back to their customers. I was disappointed & frustrated with the entire process.

We recently purchased our forever Subaru Forester 2021 dream car from Don K Whitefish Subaru... it was the most amazing experience of any sale we ever encountered! Our journey began a year ago when we began researching new Subaru Foresters & after hearing amazing reviews about Don K & after meeting JP, our wonderful sales guy, we didnt go anywhere else! We were set! JP is absolutely amazing! JP took not only wonderful time with us, patiently & clearly explaining every little detail about the Subaru Forester we were interested in but politely kept in touch with us until we were finally ready to purchase the 2021 Subaru Forester we dreamed of! We bought our Forester a few months ago though the Costco program (Fixed pricing). For my wifes birthday she wanted a ski roof rack. Costco offered a 50% off accessories service or parts up to $200 off. So I went down to get a ski rack for it that she wanted. I left with 1/2 the parts. I came back the next day and told them it doesnt fit/work. They told me I needed a cross bar (the other 1/2 of the parts too). I happily paid them $170. Come to find out it should have been $100 with Costco. I paid extra because I didnt know the Forester doesnt come factory with cross bars. Nevermind the bait and switch it was bait and screw you over. I have seen many people with signs on the side walk saying how Don-K screwed them over. I believe it now. The Costco deal forces them to be honest and upfront. Be aware of the BS they give you.

Ive been looking for a car for months and weeks and did a few test drives with other dealerships before I came to Don K. The customer service is impeccable and genuine while the business side feels personal and I didnt feel pressure. I worked with AJ who is just an awesome guy and he helped me a lot in configuring my finances, not to mention got me some Subaru goodies for my pup! (the fact that Don K Subaru loves dogs is a plus in my book). After accommodating my last minute appointment, I walked off the lot with my own vehicle (which I love!)
