Delicious coffee and chai! The notes of the espresso was Woody and slight chocolate, very consistent and the employees were really helpful. Very cozy when walking in and the smell is just delightful, they have a bookcase where you can trade and read, I highly recommend this gem.

This was such a sweet spot. It was not missed by me that during my visit songs were played exclusively from Taylor Swifts Folklore. I ordered their special the dreamsicle it was one of those espresso and club soda cocktails that have become very popular this past year. It was pretty tasty, but not my favorite. Thats nothing against the coffee shop, because they made the drink so well and they have a great atmosphere! Everyone in the shop was enjoying themselves!

Went to visit the shop with some friends after it was apparently remodeled recently. They mentioned that the layout was a lot more comfortable, but the music was still a little bit soft. We stayed and talked for a while but it still seemed a little too quiet in there to have much of a conversation if you didnt want other people to be listening in all the time. As for the coffee, everything we got was fantastic! Our lattes, cappuccinos, and drip coffee were all very tasty. I forget the baristas name but he was very friendly and extremely good at his job, quality latte art included. The only thing that was worth noting for me was that I wish that the drip coffee was a little bit hotter, but because it wasnt so hot I was able to taste a lot more of those subtle fruity notes which I also appreciated. Folklore is a reliable back-up coffee shop for me. Ive never had a bad coffee from them but Ive also never had anything that blew me away, always exactly what I expected. Nice quiet shop and good cozy place to read a book or get some work done.

The honey and cinnamon iced latte is amazing! This is a great little quiet place to study or stop in for a drink of coffee. Their wifi took awhile to work for me but my sisters worked fine right off the bat. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back soon!!

I have been here a few times. The expresso drinks are the best you will find in downtown Whitefish. Coffee is not bitter like their competition. That said, I hope their baristas continue to improve. The space itself is appealing and decorated well. However, I it would be nice if it wasnt such a hard space. For example, the chairs are all metal. There is also wooden bench seating. There is one comfortable place to sit, which is a sofa. Someday well get a more Italian themed coffee house in Whitefish where one can sit comfortably for and extended period of time, while of course buying multiple cups of coffee.

Best latte I had in a long time

First time back in ages. Suggest professional barista training. Really want to be able to promote this place as an alternative coffee spot, but needs improvement. Alternative milk should be barista grade to charge extra. $5.65 for latte. Rating below par, unfortunately.

Me and my friends came across folklore in the beginning of the year and when we walked in we immediately got greeted with a hello. The barista was so awesome and he was also from Hawaii. Although I haven’t seen him in for a while I hope he’s doing good.

Waited 20 mins for coffee then my coffee got handed to the wrong customer, and had to wait another five minutes 👎👎👎

A few friends from whitefish area recommended this place. It was honestly the best coffee I have ever had. The barista mikah was very kind and makes a really good coffee. I’m definitely going to visit again just to say hi or what he likes to call aloha!! 🤙🏻

Wow! This was the perfect coffee shop to stop by for a delicious coffee. We came here everyday on vacation and got something different each day! Best chai latte I’ve ever had. Ive been drinking Folklores coffee (at home and in shop) since the Whitefish location opened and have nothing but positive things to say. Some of the best, if not the best coffee in the state with great customer service.Folklores focus on amazing, no frills coffee is their greatest strength. Appreciate the good brews guys!

I was very impressed with the barista and service. The coffee was excellent and a nice big cup. I would maybe add a bit more comfy chairs for lounging, but coffee is the real reason to come and the cute gentlemen making the coffee isnt bad either. Wink wink.😊

Highly recommend Folklore as the baristas are very friendly and their coffee is amazing. I had their Ethiopian light roast through a pour over and it was probably one of the best coffees I’ve ever had.

They have very high quality Espresso, tea ect, and really know their business. The owner (brother of the owner of first store) is usually behind the counter.It is also a great spot to chill that is usually much quieter than the other spots on Main street (that honestly have inferior coffee).Highly recommended.

Folklore is my absolute favorite place to grab coffee and a pastry. Their coffee doesn’t compare to anywhere else, I make a special trip there JUST to get it. The atmosphere is cozy and I love the “take one, leave one” book selection. The owner and staff always greet you with a smile and friendly service. You won’t be disappointed!

Great coffee but the owner, Matt Pollard, is a DB. He offered me a barista position and after I accepted he contacted me saying that he didn’t need my help anymore because some of his other staff were going to cover the shifts. That’s not the way you conduct business, Matt.If you offer someone a job, that’s a commitment. I certainly won’t be spending my money at this place anymore, and you shouldn’t either. Stick to Montana Coffee Traders, awesome company that has been in the valley for more than 30years.

I stopped this morning for a cup of tea. First impression, what an awesome new spot in downtown Whitefish. It was vibrant and the tables were full of people laughing and enjoying coffee and friendship. It made a great first impression.I ordered the Montana Gold tea, and am still enjoying it as I write this.I will be back, and next time, I am bringing my friends.

Folklore is a great place to grab a delicious coffee, tea, smoothie or pastry! I have had all 4 and can say they are all amazing. I also really love the atmosphere. There is a take one, leave one book library, the owner introduces himself to everyone and the walls feature different local artists. I love local coffee shops just like this one.

Folklore Coffee, in my opinion, is by far the best place to get coffee in Whitefish! The Owner, Matt, is a really nice guy, and is genuinely passionate about serving up a phenomenal cup of coffee (or tea) to each and every one of his customers. Folklore not only pays very close attention to detail with each delicious hand-crafted drink they make, but they also take the time to truly get to know their customers, and pay attention to details about them other than just what they order. For those of you that like Chai, this is a must try! Matt tested multiple Chais in search of a perfect fit for his Espresso, to make the ultimate Dirty Chai. I personally think he hit the nail on the head. It is by far the best Dirty Chai I have ever had, and friends that I have taken there agree. Quite often when I go to other coffee shops around the valley, I get inconsistent results. One time its good, and the next time it tastes burnt. I have yet to have a bad Cup O Joe here. Folklore has a very down to earth, relaxed vibe, and I will definitely be continuing to recommend it to friends!

If you want to be shamed in your coffee preferences, this is the place for you. I asked for a 16 oz americano with three shots and they refused to sell it to me. Seems to be a place for pretentious coffee snobs.With so many great coffee shops in town, I wouldnt waste my time or money with this place.
