Our guest leave things behind all the time when they stay with us. We take the items to the UPS store here in Whitefish and they package and mail them out for us. It is a time saving thing for us and the people who work there are always more than happy to help us out. They are very friendly and have great customer service. I myself have used them for all my shipping needs and will continue to do so.

The package I shipped from this location arrived empty. The contents were either stolen or misplaced by UPS. After contacting this location for a resolution, the owner refused to assist and even seemed to find it entertaining when I explained the missing paintings had a lot of sentimental value. They requested photos and documentation to confirm value, which I provided, but then refused to offer a refund. Not sure why they had to waste my time too. Frustrating and disappointing.

I went here to mail a couple of titles. After giving the mailing information, I was told that the price was $12 and it would take a week. I said “that’s a long time.” He said, “it’s going a long way”. I said, “the postal service only takes 3 days”. Immediately, he tore open the envelope, and looked directly at the next customer and said, “Next!” I believe that this person was one of the owners. I wasn’t even given the chance to continue with the process. I will definitely never use this UPS store! I could have been a customer for a long time since I am in the process of moving here, but there’s no way that’ll happen now!

Just in the store this morning to return an Amazon Package. I needed a small piece of tape for the top of the box. The man behind the counter said “you need to purchase a roll of tape we do not give free tape.”“ In the future you should bring the package in ready to ship”.Is a piece of tape worth losing a customer? Think about it!!

Pete and Patty have always provided great service. I’m sure they are not perfect! And being a UPS store has nothing to do with the actual deliver of UPS packages unless you rent a box there. I hope that they take some of the complaints and reviews the heart and figure out a way to enter phase better with unhappy customers. All I can do is base my review up on my experience.

Went in to print resumes. I was expecting to pay a little for the resumes themselves, but these guys were nickeling and diming. They wouldnt give me the email to send them to, and insisted I pay $ to use their computer and go through the hassle of setting up my Google account.The location in Kalispell did it for me completely free, and even helped me edit the color when it came out too muted!

I’ve been in this UPS store over a dozen times in the 2 years I’ve been here. From a quick drive by drop off to assistance with printing and mailing. Yesterday, I had the great fortune to have Cara help me with a print job that should have taken 2 minutes. 30 minutes later, ( I had a laptop from a dear older friend) finding the documents on the friends PC, trying to get them sent via email to the stores system, getting them to actually transfer and the hurdles continued.Cara had the patience of a Saint with me and this computer) and with her knowledge of PC’s (I ONLY know Macs), pages were printed and I left with sanity intact.Everyone has always been friendly and great service. Thank you! You definitely have my business.

After calling another store here in whitefish and being treated very poorly I contacted the UPS store here in town and the gentleman I spoke to was very kind, took time to answer my questions and seemed to care even though he couldnt provide the product I needed. So, I thought I would give him a nice review because sometimes effort and sincerity are enough when often lately people have a shortage of both.

Was helping a client in 2017 with automation of vehicle import paperwork. This client, unfortunately, decided to have his vehicle sale contracts shipped to this UPS location, which meant that I would sometimes call to, pickup from, and interact with the UPS Store in Whitefish. I dont think I ever had a warm experience there. And, at least on one occasion I was treated very rudely on the phone and again in person. I requested that my client have the paperwork shipped directly to me, rather than the UPS Store, as the UPS Store interactions detracted from our work and harmed the morale of my team.

The staff is incredibly helpful. I did a profession art job for a customer and needed some quick printing. The job was done swiftly and on time. In the past they have also helped me when I was in a printing jam. I highly recommend them.

I called to see if an expected package had arrived and Pete said he didnt know, because they were still sorting or something (hard to understand because he was mumbling and didnt seem to be focusing on our phone call. I asked when sorting would be done, and let him know the shipment was time sensitive. He gave no ETA and became angry and agitated that I would even care about the timing. I was treated rudely throughout the call. I then called corporate UPS to report the terrible customer service. After talking to corporate, I was informed that the person I was talking to who was rude to me on the phone was actually the owner/manager of the Whitefish UPS Store, not an employee.Corporate UPS must have contacted Pete afterwards telling him about the complaint because he then called my coworker to tell him that I had reported his rude behavior. He wanted us to call corporate again to withdraw the complaint, apparently because there are penalties (expectedly) associated with badly representing the UPS franchise. Pete also told my coworker that I was not allowed in his store, which I was inclined to report to corporate also.I was surprised that Petes reaction to finding out about the corporate complaint was to use connections, coercion, manipulation, and intimidation to try to prevent the consequences of his rude treatment of his own customers, rather than simply reform his behavior and act like an adult and a professional, as his customers expect.I hope that all of the reviewers here that also had a bad experience are also submitting their complaints to corporate UPS, so that this location gets the turnover and training required to meet their customers most basic expectations of being treated kindly and fairly, and without impatience, anger, or indifference.By the way, and in response to the UPS Stores reply (below): This had nothing to do with a UPS brown truck delivery being late, or my confusion about my experience or about which entity Im reviewing here. This was about me calling the UPS store in Whitefish to pick up a package and being treated rudely. At the time of this incident you did receive packages for non mailbox-holders and charged them a high fee for picking up those packages too. If this policy has changed since then, Im unaware, as Ive never been interested in returning to the Whitefish UPS Store. Also, Managements inability to recall this interaction and not remembering when this took place is irrelevant. Certainly the the UPS Store corporate offices have the complaint records available for the managements review, I refer you to those. Corporates call to your store to review my complaint with you was the first you heard about it, this is the second time that youre hearing about it.

I have been a loyal box holder since these folks have owned The UPS Store, they provide a great service, it is always fun coming to pickup my mail. They print my posters, blue prints and color copies. Thier prices are low and the service is always a fast turn around. I would go no where else. They do everything ! Thanks for 20 years of great service!

Thankful for their help and assistance. While we were in the midst of construction on our space, the owners and employees of this UPS store were always welcoming to us when we needed printing or shipping services. They were very helpful when we had to print educational materials and posters. We greatly appreciate them!

I have maintained a personal mailing box, receive and send mailings/ packages for over nine years, at the Whitefish UPS store. Being a disabled person, the owners and their staff are gracious, patient and go the extra mile regarding customer service. It is heart felt to have a local business UPS store know their customers needs, remember their names, extend care and maintain their professionalism.

I have been a happy follower of this store since they were in the mall.They are up beat fun people with a great sense of humorI do scanning, printing, shredding, not to mention business cards and brourchures... I get great quality for a great price. Happy to send my friends and colleagues to the ups store in whitefish never have been disappointed ...

Not sure about this review from Rich.... We have been using the store since we bought our vacation home 3 years ago. Both for our mail and multiple packages. The service could not be better. Friendly courteous, always trying to give you the best deal on shipping. Often we have a number of packages and one of the staff always grabs a cart and helps us out the the vehicle. Well done and thank you for the years of great service.

Wow. The owner here sure needs a hug! I have given SO much of my business to this store. I came in to ship a package - usually the guy behind the counter will throw in some “stuffing” he has extra from packages. Today, the owner wanted to charge me an extra $5.00 for it. What? For a few pieces of puffed up plastic? Ok - $1.00-2.00 MAX might be reasonable. But $5.00??? So I said, kindly, the guy here usually puts in a couple pieces no charge. (Why? He probably feels like an idiot charging people $5.00 for “packaging”). It’s not like you’re wrapping a gift for me in gold! He proceeds to tell me well I’m the owner and I provide him with his paycheck. And that he will have a “talk” with him. He was getting quite angry so I can’t imagine what it’s like to be an employee there. That’s the difference between me and him. As an owner of a business myself - I’m always happy to take care of a customer. Clearly, he is not. Poor service. Rude. Pretentious. Whitefish. Don’t go here. I’ll just wait for the owner to post some sort of rebuttal to justify his decision to treat a customer with disrespect. Wait for it.....

The owner is clearly an angry person lacking emotional intelligence and people skills. Interesting that he chose to get into the customer service industry. Even more interesting that he passed the vetting process to represent the UPS name.

I called the store for help because Columbia Falls wouldnt answer their phone. Kalispell wouldnt answer their phone. I told the guy that UPS got my address wrong. I know I didnt type it wrong I double-checked it. He told me theres nothing he can do about it. I said why cant you call headquarters. And this amazingly sweet gentleman responded with did you not hear what I said? That caught me off-guard so I pause for a second and then I cussed him out. Customer service should not act like that. on top of this UPS is trying to deliver my package to Missoula when I put Columbia Falls. If I could go lower than one star I would.

Pete and Patty Olsen (Owners The UPS Store) are wonderful folks. They have been running Whitefishs only official UPS Store for years. Honest, dependable, and reliable folks. Whenever I have needed help getting a package delivered or sent out they have always been more than happy to help.

Owner is extremely rude. I walked in with my dad, intending to print out a label, and noticed the computer was left on an open browser. I asked the owner, who was printing something, if he was finished. He proceeded to raise his hand and nod. I took that as a “go ahead.” But it turns out he meant the opposite. There was a simple misunderstanding, and I apologized for my error. But he went on to call me an idiot and told me to “go burn another one.” I would highly encourage anybody to take their business elsewhere and not financially support such a hostile person. There is an alternative parcel service less than half a mile away. I have always been treated well there.

The owner of this store is rude and unprofessional. I called this store to make sure it would be fine to have a UPS package shipped there to be held for me to pick up, amd I was told there was no charge since it was being shipped via UPS. When I picked up the package, I was charged $10 for their holding fee. The owner was very rude and belittling and repeatedly said this isnt UPS. Well, when I called and asked, you said it WAS UPS and there was no fee! There was no reason for the owner to be such a jerk to a customer. He proceeded to be rude to the older lady behind me as well.

Surly, impatient service. Ive been there three times, first time OK - 3 stars, 2nd time, less than OK - 2 stars, 3rd time - I will never go back again. The most unfriendly service Ive received from any establishment during my 3 months in the Whitefish/Kalispell area. In contrast, the Fedex in Kalispell is delightful - 5 stars plus. Will try any other postal service before going back there again. OH wait - will NEVER go back again no matter how convenient it is. Ugh.

Dropped a package off and one of the employees took it but didnt give me the customer copy or a receipt with the tracking. Went back to the shop about hour later ran into a dramatic, angry, racist named Pete (store owner). He seemed disgusted and refused to give me a receipt or a tracking number, stating that the truck took the package already and that it was my responsibility to get a copy of the tracking number and there was nothing he could do. After calling UPS I found out that it is the clerks responsibility to ensure the customer gets a tracking number. The store owners behavior was disgusting with seemingly violent tendencies. Pete was so angry that his hands were shaking when he gave me the card. That situation could have become violent if I hadn’t left.

I came in to print a shipping label and got charged $2!! Outrageous for one black and white page. And the two ladies laughed about my reaction after I left. I guess someone had to pay for the two of them to be there with no customers to serve.
