The store has suffered a lot since pandemic. Staffing is shorthanded, products are out of stock. Prepared foods never has the roasted chickens ready when I go there. Prices continue to rise. All that being said I can usually find what I need. Staff is always helpful.
Wasnt bad until I had to checkout. There was only 1 checkout for customers with 12 or less items. But the line was huge for the self checkout. But only had about 3 regular cashiers open. Its too bad no one wants to work anymore. Everything else was fine. Just took a while to cash out
Always a great super market. It’s cheaper then the Hingham location and some others. The deli is looking good. They did it all over. The food is always stalked. For the most part the people that work there are nice. Always a few people who could learn some manners but that’s the world we live in. Fruit is fresh. Pre cooked chicken is awesome.
This particular stop & shop has always been good. The workers are always polite and courteous and helpful. Having a citizens Bank inside of the supermarket is also helpful. Theres also a coinstar machine too.
Great. Nice and clean, had what i needed and not too busy
So upset!Stop N Shop has Always been good to me, but not this time.See, I like to surprise family members with birthday ballons when they wake up in the morning, so i have to wait until they are asleep, then run out to get balloons!I showed up at 9:30pm, (they close at 11)And caught the florist/ balloon employee, as she was getting ready to leave. I told her i needed a few balloons for a bdayShe told me that she was already leaving and couldnt help me😢😢😥
Ive been shopping there for years! Its all good!
Overall a good store to shop at, especially the bakery. They are extremely helpful and always willing to go the extra mile for their customers. I always recommend the Whitman store bakery to all my friends looking to get a cake or just something sweet and delicious. I got out of my way and drive from Taunton because I know I’ll be treated right and find exactly what I’m looking for.
Love the whitman location. Its always clean and the staff is very helpful.
We really love that we can get there early at 6 a.m. to be able to do our full shopping without dealing with a big crowd. The whole experience is great and the new renovation is neat and clean. The sale and coupon deals are great also. The only thing I could suggest is to have an employee around to bag a large grocery order when needed. Only has one register that early but I do help out bagging. Thanks for being open earlier a hope it will keep up after covid.Thanks. Mike
Online order pick up at store. First they called saying they were running 45min behind. Ok, no problem (but they should have offered to deliver to me at that point. I selected a timeframe for a reason).Picked up my order. 2 items out of stock. Ok.2 items missing (but they charged me). 1 item wrong and the eggs I ordered were cracked (and they pack in brown bags so yes, egg slim all over (plz put eggs in a plastic bag). 5 items just wrong and the charge on the 5 was wrong. What’s most irritating is it took 3, yes 3 trips back to the store to get all of my ordered items (again they should have delivered, their mistake).First time I’ve done pick up here. Colossal fail.
Prices are a bit high- almost as high as Shaws market... $amount is No Different than Walmart foods...tho the quality IS a little bit better.Still, prices are high. .. .
Thought their prices were very high compared to other markets! I come from Fla. 3 times a yr. and I try it once in awhile, but wont any more! 😓
Prices seem a little high, but its always well stocked, and easy to navigate. They frequently rotate weakly deals, so nothing gets to stale.
I dread going to this particular stop & shop.Unfortunately, its the only supermarket close to home. Today, much like any other times Ive went there, I have to ask someone to check for some veggies as they hardly ever have them stocked.I spoke to a guy working produce, asked if he knew if they had scallions out back. He simply said I Dont know and turned his back to me. Very rude and unprofessional.
I used to really enjoy going to this stop and shop. They used to take covid precautions seriously. Now I have a man breathing down my neck in line without a mask and no one seems to have a problem with that. Within a 20 minute visit, there was 6 people without masks walking around shopping. One was spoken to, but he was still allowed to shop. Covid levels are low, but covid is still happening, so I think it’s important even now for companies to make sure customers wear their masks.
Handicapped scooter at one entrance, price scanners at the other side 😓
Stop and Shop on average is clean and has product although due rush and demand they will on occasion be short of certain items until restocked wf fresh vegetables for a cook out or needing to restock dairy alternatives, demands on day and time. In sofar as prices it seems they are a little higher tben Market Basket and only slightly less then Big Y which has tasty bread and freshly made sushi or made in front of you pizza. This location in Whitman will give 4.4 out 5.0
It was good not to hard to find things organized and clean
I use the online buying pickup service works out great. Covid good and the wonderful staff there brings it right out for you very fast.
Has pretty much everything you need in a store
They discriminate against people who cant wear a mask. They wouldnt serve my husband and asked him to leave. The woman had a mask on and was behind plexiglass. My husband has all their names. We will be reporting all!!!! Youll be nice and safe at home!!!!
Open late and they carry they Chobani caramel cream and other flavors, lately hard to find!
Store is being revamped and I am really pleased with the new changes. I know some people are whining because their stuff isnt in the same old place but what is taking place make shopping so much easier as well as much visually appealing.
The associates that work there are so nice and helpful.
Always have what I wantstretchgfw
Prices are to high, I save 20% shopping elsewhere.
Very nice store. Very clean and the shelves were fully stocked. Id come back here for sure
Friendly and convenience and wide variety
Great selection
Place looks nice and clean but they need to have their employees emphasize the one-way isle cuz tje customers dont follow it and its not that hard to look at the giant red arrow on the floor!!
Way over priced
If you spend a little time and look over the sales flyer you can take advantage of many great deals. I was able to buy one package of Entermans hot cross buns and get a second package for free. At $6.99 per package I was able to save that amount while getting twice as much. Not bad!!
Heard they treat their employees with disrespect. Never going here again. Learn to be manage teenagers and also adults. This goes for all departments.
Never anything in bakery by 8am
Great. Good service, not too many people
New struggle as I have the audacity to bring my own reusable bags, fresh from dryer every week. Baggers run away for past three weeks, leaving me to bag my own. And the stores paper bags are the flimsiest on earth. Told by manger S&S is forbidden by town of Abington from using plastic bags, yet Target right next door has never stopped. Only reason I go there is proximity and familiarity with aisles. Not customer friendly.
Easy to locate items. Price little high
Expensive, odd layout and not a huge selection of products. Only go when I absolutely have to.
A little confusing with new layout. Should be fine once I get used to it
Love everything is fresh
This store is okay pretty clean but there are very few parking spaces only right by the door you can go in the rest are all marked for pickups well unfortunately that may be the case but I have never gone there since they changed how much parking they have given for pickups that there were more than two cars in that whole area that theyve blocked off for pickups only. I have noticed that it seems like a lot of their prices are really going up and they going up rapidly cant truly understand that. Im 64 and have many medical issues and I know that I could get a Handicap plate but I dont as there are more people who have it harder than me, but I have to wonder when the snow coming I have to wonder how much it is going through the parking lot and the huge amount of parking spaces is going to end up being an issue in my opinion as over half your parking lot is marked picked up pickups only and I think that this is eventually going to cause more and more people an issue come winter as you have such limited parking number one for handicapped number two for regular patrons of your store. I have put it off for over 3 years of people that know of all my health issues telling me get a handicap plate get a handicap plate and I said no there are people Ive seen that need those spots and if it takes me a little more effort or time when I shop at your store then thats what it is. I just wanted to add this to my post with the weather getting colder and colder it may be something you should rethink about not everyone can afford to have peapod or the pickup only area some of us live on SS DI which is pretty tough when youre pulling into a grocery store as big as yours and seeing that you have allotted over half of your spaces for the people that may be able to order and just pick up whatever they need. Maybe this should be thought about before winter gets here because there is no way and at least in my opinion no way if I pull in to your store and see that its slush and hasnt been plowed with the very few amount of space that you have Im not going to be able to push their carts through that mess with as little amount of parking as you have! If this is what I end up seeing you will lose customers from it so maybe from a woman thats 64 has coronary artery disease vascular disease in many other complicated medical issues one of mind being on top of those two is I have COPD so to push a card through the limited spaces knowing I may have to actually finally give in and apply to get a handicap plate or placket I think management should revisit just how many spots I truly needed during the day for pickup or peapod. I did read the response from the company or management not sure who technically it is stating that theyre glad that Im a customer a happy customer there at my age with all my illnesses because I will not keep trying to do as much as I can with everything I have wrong I definitely know I am one customer that will pick up the necessities at 7-Eleven and drive to another supermarket versus trying to find a parking space as the last two times I did the same thing following car after car circling the few spaces you have, this is just from my perspective and would be more than willing to speak with management about just how hard it is for someone like me who realizes everyone thats pushed me to get a placket is right but again Im going to state that for me I probably will have to apply for a placket but even though I have shopped in your store fairly many many weeks but was appalled that there is such little parking area and even handicap areas personally that you took away.
Easy to shop and very convenient to shop at I know where everything is but the store employees could be a lot more friendlier
I think they are a very clean store but the prices are higher than other super markets around that area.I go in just to use citizen bank. They now have self checkout and you still need a card for the sale prices
No good front end managaer
I generally like this stop & shop but I am never going here on a Sunday again. It was a mad house. The scan it thing that is supposed to save you time hardly ever cooperates at the checkout anymore so it ends up making it take more time when someone has to come over and fix it- if they even notice the checkout is blinking and you need help in the first place that is. They have a decent selection usually but sometimes they lack basic things I can find easily other places. Today in particular they were out of several staple items I went their for and it was quite frustrating. But in general this location used to generally be pretty good, but the last few times Ive been it seems to be getting more frustrating.
Pleasant place to shop.
Good, got what I came for.
The changed the layout of the store making things impossible to find
Have everything I needed and good people work there
Very pleasant at the register they helped me out a lot I didnt have to stop shop Todd they put it through anyway I thought it was very nice. I went over and they made me one good help good people
Stores are getting bare... People have trashed the place.. But still happy smiling helpful employees.. Thank you to them ❤
This place is RIDICULOUS with their high prices. I feel robbed leaving this place. Way way way too high. The place is clean and organized but thats the ONLY good thing about it. Go to Market Basket...its way way better.
No help at all and unfriendly
Its a fine stop and shop nothing special but not bad either
I had no problem finding everything I needed. The deli worker was great. Very polite. Fast and efficient. Cashier was friendly, quick and polite. ⭐🙂 ⭐
Dog rawhide and Fresh Pet case consistently empty. Need to pay attentionTo rotted produce, out of code and stock outOf key holiday seasonings in produceWomens bathroom sink out of orderNo Pharmacy at this location as describedNot observing overnight quiet hours in consideration of neighbors by running loud equipment and running trucks in front lot
Stop & shop is going to be stop & shop
Nice clean stop and shop. Have used the peapod pick up service which is excellent. Big selection and very pleasant staff both in the deli and at the registers.
Whitman Stop and Shop is probably my favorite. Clean, well stocked.
They dont treat employees with respect, the managers are especially rude to the employees.
Gas station was convenient and price was low.
This place has been a life saver during the covid 19 problem. The senior hours are perfect. Thank you stop and shop.
Considering the times and Sun.of Memorial Day wknd..well stocked and friendly service...THANKS!!
Awsome found all that I needed
Food quality is going down, isles getting narrowed, meats are a disgrace . Just get milk and bread.
Shopping is always great, while the service is wonderful.
I love to shop in this supermarket thehat. you need and very low prices
Love shopping here. They have no problem if you bring your receipt and ask for adjustments for sales or coupons that may not have rung up right. Staff is always pleasant. Only reason not 5 stars is because stocking could be better.
Typical Supermarket what you get is what you expect reasonable prices long lines
They are always five star to me
Very clean and organized no problems going to this location
Overcrowded and overpriced
Great deal on steaks and pork. Found the rice i wanted very easy and used self checkout was at register for 1 min. Woman asked if i needed any help i said no. See bagged my items which was very nice customer svc. Gonna make a great stir fry tonight
Large, wide aisles. Helpful folks if you can find them. The robot drives me crazy - announced a spill in Aisle 9 for my *entire* visit. When does it shut off, folks?
Very clean. Gas station in the parking lot. Scan it shopping, self check-out, and normal cashiers also. All of the cold and frozen items are behind glass doors to keep everything cold and fresh. Wonderful hot foods selection.
My favorite store except for the Robot. What he doing watching the employees? Or the customers? Whos brilliant idea was that? Big Brother?
This store has to be one of the cleanest Ive ever been in. The staff was kind and helpful. If I had to list one negative thing about stop and shop it would be the prices have gone up on a few items, like cream for instance. Almost a dollar more than usual. I get it, more people are using soy and the like now, but dont make it out problem. Anyway, Im drolling on about prices, speaking of which, did you see that lady on Facebook selling toilet paper for twenty dollars ? I mean, come on you dirty slag, just because theres a virus about, doesnt give you the right to show the world youre a dirt ball and all. Sorry, just venting. Ill stop now. Promise. Oh. Speaking of promises, my roomate keeps promising not to use all the milk, seriously! I should put a lock on the fridge...sorry babbling on again. Anyway they just called my name for my meds. Tah for now. Oh huh ? Thats not mine !!
Not wild about the new bagging wheel, but the young man that rang in my order was very nice and made sure I didnt leave anything behind.. I buy my cod loin there and they always have great prices... lower than every other market and always fresh! I have noticed they reduced their prices to be competitive with Market Basket in W.Bridgewater...
I hate Stop & Shop but go from time to time for convenience. Theres NEVER an express register open & now with all the self-service registers theres only 1 manned register even open! This means you wait a good 10 minutes or more in line! Every time I go I wish I hadnt!
All good trying to replace my Belmont St store ☹️
The selection and service is consistently good. The staff varies between high school kids and adults, but they are usually always helpful. Unfortunately, its too pricey and I shop here only when I’m not able to do a whole week worth of grocery shopping at the market basket in Bridgewater 18 minutes away. The price is the only reason for the 3 star review.
Love the store brands..store easy to navigate for fast trips for essentials..employees always courteous and helpful
Always have what I needThey are short on cashiers but the girls are very friendly and hard working
They have been going downhill when it comes to their fresh veggies. Everytime I try to shop there the veggies are on their way to rotting or have soft spots etc.
Great food store! Clean and staff are helpful! Close to my house!
The strike really didnt help this chain. The prices are even higher on most items. Its like theyre trying to make back the money they lost because of the strike.
This particular store is clean, well lit and is a little larger, which houses a variety of meats, fruits and vegetables.
Walked in 8-2-19 around 1 pm bought a few things prices are even with a stop and shop card its not that much of a saving store is clean lot of spills on isils but they get picked up fast not sure if Ill return cause market basket is opening in Hanover store staff at this store seams like they are to busy to answer a question they just point and say its down the isils your looking for and lot of items are low in stock sorry but its true a lot of employees are just looking out for them selves and just a paycheck come in do their job no more no less
Clean store good variety a product including good variety produce you have to check to make sure theyre in season usually the produce are pretty much well intact but you always still have to check your produce before you buy but overall its a clean place and I do my regular grocery shopping here some items can be a little pricey but if you have coupons and your Stop & Shop cards and it shouldnt be a problem
Very bad customer service and very rude !
If it wasnt for the staff of this store i would give 1 star.... But they are very nice and helpful... The store itself kinda sucks
Service desk is useless and rude and has the ULTIMATE KAREN as the helpless head rude dope.
They have 8 ft tall blue roaming robots...not to help, but to monitor. No. Get in the way, unpredictable, sort of like rumbas but taller. I wonder if Shaws does...I may have to find out.
Poor quality and lack of fresh vegetables. Everything i pick up looked old and soft not crisp!! Not a good experience picking up something and your finger goes through it! The produce department has really declined! This has been going on for a long time.
This place definitely needs to upgrade their shopping carts! Every single cart shakes and rattles. Its ridiculous
My experience was very nice. The employees were happy and helpful.
