I went in with a specific item in mind. Plexiglass. Now I may not be aware of different types that cost more than others but what they have was pricey here. I always have fun shopping here to see what items the have gathered up to sell. So solid 5 star for what they do here.

I love this place. Such a gem for tools & accessories, leather, upholstery, metal, plexiglass, garden tools, DIY supplies, and a wide variety of other things. There are a lot of treasures and it can be tough to get out. Definitely worth a stop though. I highly recommend checking it out!

Always a great place to go when working on any project. Also a good place to go when looking to kill some time and see some interesting things. I always leave with more than I went in there to get. Its fun to look around and see what they have added or changed out each time. I bring my dad here every time he is in town just for fun. He loves it too. Great people that are always friendly. Never had a bad experience there. Keep up the great work.

Wichitas hidden gem for the do-it-yourselfers, hobbyist, makers, and mechanically inclined types. Any project or hobby can benefit from the multitude of items. Good prices on tools and obscure manufacturing aides. Surplus oddities that I didnt even know I wanted seem to jump out at me as I walk each aisle. Its like a farmers market for metalworking tools and metal.Note to owner:(This is an honest, unsolicited review, but Id accept a kick back because I couldnt get all the awesome items that I wanted)

I had heard of this store from the guys at work. Always thought it was a guy thing for their derby cars. I couldnt have been more wrong, not only is it for the guys but ladies this place is awesome. I found the perfect piece of leather for the top of my cedar chest. I also found painting supplies that I wanted but just couldnt bring myself to pay that price at other stores. I found storage stuff to get me home an craft room organized. Found stuff for my dog, my garden even got new ideas for things I want to do. The employees are very helpful. They will take the time to listen to what it is you are wanting to do and will help you get everything you need an will even give you ideas on how to get it done. It was a joy to shop in there. Thank you to everyone at the yard for all yalls help.

I didnt even know this place existed till my hubby told me. I went there to get some expanded steel. They were awesome. Showed me what they had, and helped load it in my car, yeah them poor guys I assumed they would be able to cut it and brought the car instead of the truck. But they were super nice.I will definitely go back.Ps call to see if they can cut what your needing, as they do cut some stuff.

The Yard is locally owned, and you can definitely tell. Friendly, helpful people who are ready to help you find what youre looking for. This is my first stop for any raw metal needs, personal or work related. They also have a bunch of cool stuff in general, and its fun to wander around and see what you find.

If you need it, the Yard probably has it. From drill bits to foam, from metal to files this place has it all. You could easily spend hours there looking up and down the aisles and looking outside. By far one of my favorite stores.

Awful if your ethnicity is other than...they have some neat stuff but my husband and I were not helped as needed and were spyed on like we were going to steal something..Really Sad, Actually...We went to KCK over the weekend and my husband was so excited about coming back, out of our way through Wichita so that we could go to this place called The Yard...I feel really sad and disappointed.

This place has had almost everything Ive needed for every hobby or project that I have had. Their prices are unbeatable. Check here before you buy online or from local large hardware stores. Its worth it to show up and see if they have what you are looking for. Youre almost guaranteed to find something you need that you didnt even know you could find locally.

Both girls at the checkout were rude. If you asked. either the yard people or the people inside if they carried something, they would say yes and go back to what they were doing. They did not even tell you the vicinity to look. My husband said Thank you, they said nothing. An employee squeezed past my husband without saying excuse me or anything. What happened to manners?

Ive always loved this store! They have so many things to offer customers, whether professionals, do it yourselfers, hobbyist. An individual can make it a quick stop, the staff is awesome, or (which Ive done on numerous occasions!)spend 2-3 hrs. looking what they have to offer to design,plan, & finish a project

Great place to find everything you could find for your home

I will be visiting this store more often. Large array of tools and raw materials available. Various stock of several types of metals available outside the store ranging from sheet to bar stock to angle and tubing just to name a few. Friendly and helpful staff. The Yard also has the original Air Force One on display on the east side of the lot. A must see for anyone in the area!

Even if I do not find what I want, I will always find something here that may be useful or inspiring when I need to get a job done. The staff is helpful and ready to provide me what I asked for or to recommend alternative materials.

Simply the best place to find assorted hardware or raw steel/aluminum bars or plates. They also have sheets of plastic, convoluted tubing, foam sheets of all sizes and drilling/milling bits/tools. All at far better prices than big box stores. Do some digging and who knows what youll find.

You might want to find a near by hotel because this place has anything and everything you didnt know you needed...and may take several days to ingest.Amazing Prices on items and materials you cant find anywhere else.The Yard must be seento be believed!

Love going to The yard! I always seem to find things that spark my creativity & enjoy just seeing what kind of interesting things I can find.

I called about heavy duty black zippers, I was told that they had them. We went there today and the cashiers were friendly but when I asked a man who worked there, he seemed dumbfounded and shows me some green lite weight zippers. Ive seen heavier zippers on winter coats. We left and wont waste our time going back there.

Ive been visiting The Yard for several years and as far back as I can remember it has always been like a candy shop to any mans man any fabricator any hardcore hobbyist or anybody that needs a variety of just about anything in one place. I never have to shop around because the prices are always spot-on and the staff is always eager to help and they know right where everything is believe it or not amongst the rather large Surplus of stock. If theyre reading this review this is my shout out to the whole crew for being a badass Wichita One Stop Shop!

Neat place for random items. Over priced for some of the stuff especially sense some of the items in bins are used. Still a very neat place to go and check out. Lots of little things to fill the garage or tool box with.

Easily found what I was looking for. Was in and out quickly and the employees even had a a few jokes to tell me while cutting the tubing

They ticked me off again! This is the third time Ive called from out of town, and was told they had something or was told the wrong price over the phone. After driving an hour there, they had a good laugh at my expense. The guys working the yard are clueless!
