Great Food and Great Service from the Staff. No complaints here or from my party. We truly enjoyed the service at our table. I give the Egg Crate Cafe 5 Stars.

Egg Crate Cafe adequately met my existing standards for a breakfast eatery. The staff was friendly and the food came out very quickly. The food itself was passable, with nothing particularly standing out. Overall the experience was innocuous, but not memorable enough to warrant visiting again.

Totally worth the 15min wait in line! The food was fabulous, the staff was so friendly and nice, and the atmosphere was so comfy that it reminded me of a family supper at grandmas house. Try their cinnamon roll. It was probably one of the best weve ever had. Its fills a medium sized plate so only get one to share or take home to munch on later.

I went in for a quick breakfast and was utterly disappointed. The home fries with onions tasted like fast food fare. They used to be delicious and now it seems they deep fry potatoes and then add some onions that are more raw than grilled. My sourdough toast was more like warmed bread and the picture shows how well it was buttered. Coffee was so weak that when I added cream,it tasted more like watered down creamer. Additionally the server was more interested in letting everyone know her lack of excitement for being at work (sorry to be a bother). I will say,the food was delivered quickly so I was able to get out of there quickly as well. This place used to be quite good. Cutting on portions and quality to save costs has definitely taken a bad turn. Ill need to find another spot.☹

Prices are reasonable here. My first time here I fully enjoyed the country fried steak breakfast. The second time here it was okay, the meatloaf came highly recommended from my waitress but the first bite I took was flavorless, my mashed potatoes where flat out watered down just really upsetting. I went to take a bite of my moms food. No flavor what so ever. I don’t know if it was a bad day but this just gave me a bad taste in my mouth.

Great food, great service and the owner is a great person to. See you next sunday.

Not a bad little place at all. Thursday morning breakfast time wasnt terribly busy, zero wait for us, the service was friendly and quick. The food is made to order so the table delivery wasnt immediate but definitely not a long wait. The waitress made one small mistake but corrected it immediately and without issue. The place was clean and each table got properly cleaned after each guest left. If were back in this area again this will definitely be on the list to go again.

What a nice place to have breakfast! Wife and I had their new Breakfast stacker. Ate mine too fast to take a pic, but my wife shared a pic of hers.Staff are super friendly. The owner came out abd chatted for a bit as well.Will definitely be returning when i can.

Love the atmosphere and breakfast at Egg Crate! Great omelets, good coffee, and wonderful service. Many other tasty selections available - to order! The service is always top notch, too! The entire menu including the lunch selections are available during all business hours! Great place to eat!!!

The absolute worst dining experience I might have ever had. Everything on our order was wrong not one dish correct it was very apparent the gravy was made from a powdered mix the biscuits were flat the omelets didnt have cheese in the vegetables were raw not cooked. We were expected to order within 5 minutes of sitting down but waited 20 minutes for our food basically I paid $42 to take it firmly up the rear end. I will never eat here again it has progressively gotten worse and worse on every visit.

My mom and I went there this morning, I was very happy with my food but she was not. She has been vegan for 6 years due to health concerns and cannot process meat. She ordered the veggie skillet and it came out with sausage and ham, so we sent it back. Normally if food is wrong we wont, but she would have gotten very sick from the meat. When it was brought back out it looked uncooked and was drenched in oil. Still she ate it and found that they had hidden tiny bits of all kinds of meat on the bottom of the dish. She let the waitstaff know and they took it off the bill. Still it was ridiculous, the kitchen obviously was upset that she sent the food back. Other than that the front staff was wonderful and super attentive which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 1.

I had an order through DoorDash that was taking over an hour to process. We called the restaurant to see what was going on, and spoke with the owner... He was absolutely disrespectful to us over the phone, as we asked simple questions regarding the status of our order. I understand they were busy, and he may have been agitated from being previously called by other people, but as a small-business owner, you really should show more restraint than that. He also hung up on us after being so rude. Over the phone he informed us to get ahold of DoorDash because he “takes care of his customers first.” I’m sorry, but the fact that we placed an order over DoorDash for business through HIS RESTAURANT, we are not considered one of “his customers”? That is absolutely absurd. I’ve eaten at this restaurant several times, but because the OWNER treated us with this amount of disrespect (as we were nothing but cordial), we will not be going back, nor placing any future to-go orders from here.

Great breakfast experience! Alaina took care of our table and she was friendly and efficient. I had the french toast plate, probably the best french toast in Wichita! So delicious! We look forward to coming back to try this place again! Maybe lunch next time. Yummy!

Absolutely TERRIBLE service! I ordered my breakfast on late Sunday morning through Postmates and arrived shortly before my order was estimated to be ready for pickup. When I walked in, I was told that my order was not yet ready. When I asked how much longer it would be, the hostess said she would go ask and returned about a minute later saying she didn’t know. While she was gone asking the kitchen about my food, I received a notice from Postmates that my order was now ready for pickup. So I asked her about this. She then says she’ll go check again, then once again returns with another employee saying that my order actually hadn’t even been started because of “a problem.” At this point, I inform her that I was going to drive across the street to get coffee and to please have my order ready when I returned (it had been about 40 minutes from the time I placed my order). The manager is involved at this point and made no effort to fix the problem. Im aggravated that I haven’t been given a straight answer so, I leave to get my coffee and come back about 15 minutes later when my partner offers to go inside to pick up our order while I wait in the car. He comes outside about 10 minutes later and motions for me to come inside. When I enter the building, I’m asked for PROOF that I had actually even placed the order and then was told by the owner that they are not even on Postmates… a flat-out LIE! The owner of the place then proceeded to get defensive and aggressive towards my partner and me and threw down dishes and raised his fist and said “let’s go outside” when my partner mentioned the hostess previously stating they received the order. He continued to call us liars and then threatened to call police when we caught him in the web of lies they wound themselves into. We are very understanding people- I’ve worked in food service and understand it can be difficult- and we attempted to deescalate the situation as best we could. The owner caused a whole VERY UNNECESSARY scene in front of his patrons. We felt so disrespected by the hostess and owner in particular. You could say, they definitely “egged” it on! -2/10!! Don’t know how this place is still in business. Maybe the food is good but we never even got to give it a chance!

Used to be on our list of regular dining. Removed it several months ago, due to repeated kitchen issues (completely lost our order on two separate occasions,still bleeding CFS once, overcooked regular steak twice). Most of the waitstaff is very good though. I wish them the best of luck.

Biscuits with Gravy have been my favorite breakfast food my whole life. These biscuits with gravy from egg crate have been the worst I’ve ever had.

Nice locally owned restaurant with polite attentive staff. Very clean, well lit and tastefully decorated not overly done. Regular customers and families alike frequent this restaurant. Food if fresh and tasty, coffee hot and kept filled. Location is tucked back out of the way, but easy to find. Plenty of parking and getting in/out on to Tyler or 13th Street is a breeze.

Waitress was good horrible experience, called ahead at 11 am explained I had a party of 8 and 2 of them were kids. They said an hour and a half wait. So 1230. We showed up at 1215 just to be early. Didnt get seated till 115. Ordered right when we were seated. People that showed up way after us got seated and got food before we got ours. Our food finally came at 205. Worse ever. Will not be back.

Very Country Bumpkin. They have a back room for larger partys called The Coop. They are very busy because their establishment is extremely comfortable and welcoming. The hospitality and food is wonderful. This is a Pepsi product restaurant which is getting harder to find in Wichita and I love it.I had the fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, and greenbeans. The mashed potatoes are homemade and great. The fried chicken was juicy and my daughter loved eating off of it as well.Their kids meals start at the $3.50 range which are great for the little ones. The side of fruit has huge black berries and everything is very fresh.Biscuits and gravy should come with something as we had to order hashbrowns and sausage extra with it on the side. We also couldnt find hashbrowns on their La Carte menu. Otherwise the people and business is amazing.

Took my kids here for breakfast on the last day of school. Very clean and great service. Both my teenage boys got the French Toast and it was HUGE. My daughter loved her pancake.

My family, including my Granddaughters Love this place. We eat there about six(6) days a month. The owners are wonderful hard working people, their staff, the same. We feel and are treated like family. If you like really good home style cooking, thus is your kind of place. Cheers!!!

Took me over 10 minutes to get drinks. I had to get my own menu and silverware. Service was really really slow and the food came out burnt and called. I went here one time before for breakfast and it was a good experience this time was a very bad experience.

What you see on Facebook is not what you get. The server was nice enough but didnt even ask me how anything was, but I suspect she knew. She avoided my table until I was nearly done (and it wasnt exactly packed). Now, I love crepes, so I didnt mind how plain and tasteless (meaning sans strawberry and cream) they were. But they looked nothing like they are advertised on Facebook. All I got were undercooked crepes, an extremely thin layer of cream, and the most pitiful looking strawberry concoction you have ever seen. It wasnt even sauce, it was more like some strawberries in juice. Not much of a Friday special.... but at least the bacon was good.

I ordered the Sunday special, smothered breakfast burrito. It was very tasty and huge. However big you think this thing looks in the picture, I assure you it was much larger. I was shocked when the waitress set it on the table in front of me. But it was the good kind of shocked. I ate off of it for breakfast three days in a row. The cafe was also bright and clean and the staff was friendly a very helpful. I will definately be back the next time Im out west in the morning and I recommend you give them a try as well. Mmmm mmm!

Lovely! I ordered the build your own skillet (4 poached eggs, potatoes, monterey cheese, mushrooms, jalapeños, tomatoes, bell peppers and spinach, with a side of cream gravy). Overall delicious! I didn’t feel rushed, the waitresses were very friendly, and I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere ❤️ Good job guys!

I ate here several years ago when visiting family. I had the country fried steak and eggs breakfast. I have been searching for something this good since then but have had no luck. When I looked up this place while visiting family I saw many reviews stating Management had changed. I decided to try it again anyways. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs and was not disappointed. The quality and flavor I was looking for lived up to my expectations. The waitress Alaina was very friendly and made sure that we recieved the correct orders. Thank you for making this a pleasant experience for my family.

The food was good enough and served warm and at the same time for the whole table. Service was really slow however. We waited for about 5-10 minutes after walking in before we were asked about our group size for seating. After we ordered drinks and food our coffee took about 15 minutes and after we asked/reminded a waiter about it. Food took about 30-40 minutes to come out as well. Not a bad place taste wise, but if you plan to go there be prepared for an hour and a half of service time.

If you go here to eat, ask to sit in Faiths area. You will get better service for sure. I got the French Toast with bacon and eggs. It was very good. The breakfast burrito is amazing too though. Love that they have daily specials.
