We were on vacation and really wanted to visit here and we were not disappointed! This place makes their own chocolates! Its Amazing! Soo good! On the pricey side but well worth it! The choc. Covered popcorn is excellent! Really nice store!💚❤💜💛💙

Michael Mootz chocolates were the star of our Wedding Welcome bags. They were the perfect, delicious addition. Meagan was so easy to work with in designing our bags of chocolate. The chocolates were given to us in perfect packaging and condition. Multiple (if not all) of the guests raved about the chocolate. It was the perfect way to include a local, beloved business in our wedding day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I am not from the Wilkes Barre area so I looked up candy stores. I went in to this very nice and well organized store and bought some chocolates. The girl working in the store was extremely nice and outgoing! I wish there were more employees like her. The chocolate is amazing, as well!

Best chocolate ever.

This store has very nice staff and is lively because there are at least a few staff. I think that the chocolate is cheaper than Gertrude Hawks and there is more of a variety, and it tastes just as good. I like how in the store, there are some $1-3 candies and chocolates, and theres a big wall of chocolate in various shapes and sizes on the left thats $3-6. For candy like the gummy bears it is more expensive than I would have thought, though they may be handmade by Micheal Mootz, and other chocolates were nice and a good value. There are some nice gifts like chocolates on porcelain plates, chocolate trays, etc.

Pretty good. But pretty expensive for chocolate. They make large amounts of money but they STILL cant get their parking lot repaired. You need a jeep to get in.

Ordered caramels, nougat, and milk and dark chocolates. Arrived with ice- perfect. The chocolates are outstanding. I had these candies as a child when the Pottsville store was open many years ago. Always had them in my Easter basket and at Christmas! What a wonderful nostalgic experience with these chocolates. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for! Thank you

Some of the best chocolate ever! I highly recommend the caramels. They have them in milk and dark chocolate, with or without sea salt on top. Plus, in the summer they serve ice cream, which is also amazing.

Best candy ever. It is definitely worth the drive. It was Good Friday very busy lots of people to check you out and lines moved quickly. Chocolate covered pretzels and peanut rolls a must there. Check them out!

Came all the way from Scranton no big deal only 22 miles. .Planed on buying 10 lbs of chocolate for the holidays for my friends and asked where the restroom was and I was told sternly we do not have a public rest room, and even after saying I was going to buy 10 lbs they couldnt care less. Must be nice to be that independent to throw away a good sale. Ignorance is Bliss let me tell you. . So I went to Gertrude Hawks bought chocolate there and used the public restroom and the staff was much friendlier. So Michael Mootz you can stick your chocolate and your entire store where the sun doesnt shine. There is nothing more I hate then ignorance and stupidity and at Micheal Mootz I got both so GFY!
