Nimrod Haven Hunting and Fishing store has a very good selection to choose from and the staff members are very helpful 😄 The location is east to get to off of the road and there is a good amount of parking space.

Worst place ever shouldnt be in business. First impression coming thru the door not one person that works there offers help. They act as if customers are inconveniences. They especially ignore customers of different race. My friend who was with me asked the guy three separate times to look at one of the Smith and Wesson which is was ignored. The same guy went over to a white customer that just arrived and helped that customer. This place needs an attitude adjustment.

Best selection of high end bass tackle in the area. Crappie, trout, catfish, panfish stuff too... Live & prepared bait, live worms, guns, ammo & clothes, too.

The individuals running it can be stand offish but they are old school so I expected it. Purchased two firearms from them and have zero issues. They have worked with me and I will continue to purchase from them. Im happy.

Didnt seem to want to work for me I wanted a specific firearm and he didnt want to order it from anywhere offline for me even if I sourced it myself.I went elsewhere and got it the next day. Tired of lazy people who dont put customers first, thats why many local shops are going under, customers are moving to the shops that care about what we want putting our needs first.Sad part is, had he got it, I wouldve probably bought several used ones off of him too, as I did at the other shop.Just because.Keep on preparing according to our environment.

Staff not very friendly

Im betting that each and every single individual that gave this store top reviews is either friends or family of the people that own it. Avoid this place at all costs. When you walk in the door the owner gives you the impression that you are bothering him. He is Arrogant as hell. The prices are way too high and he price gouges REDICULOUSLY. I am an avid Outdoorsman and work in the state law enforcement field. I do not know one individual that shops here for anything because of the above problems. Every single person that I know that has been here says the same thing as the review I just posted. I honestly dont know how its still in business. I believe that customer service should be number 1 at any mom and pop store..This place fails miserably at that .Im not affiliated with any other gun shop. This is just an honest review.. I think I saw that the store had less than a hundred likes which is crazy for a gun shop. They usually have hundreds if not thousands.. just saying

As a long time customer, I cant say a bad thing about Joe, or his dad. Ive never purchased a gun, so I can not comment on that side of the business, but I buy all my fishing gear here. I often find myself at the store way longer than anticipated due to getting into conversations with Joe. They can, no doubt, come off as stand offish, but they are actual nice people. Aa far as prices. Prices are prices. If you dont like the price, dont buy it. If you can find it somewhere else, go buy it somewhere else. Sorry, I cant say anything bad about this place.

A little pricey but a great selection

While they have a pretty good selection of guns, their prices are always higher than other local shops.The service there is inexplicably rude. Every time that I have gone there, I have been left with the impression that they dont actually want to sell anything. If you want to see something, the younger guy comes off like your bothering him in a fashion much like you asked him to walk 5 miles to get it. Not entirely sure what his problem is, but whatever it is, his attitude is textbook on how not to make sales, or have anyone come back as a repeat customer.Forget about asking a question about anything, they generally treat you as if you are a moron, regardless of what you are asking about. Furthermore, dont even consider asking them to take a lower price, as such a mere request will be met with some kind of abrasive response.I have purchased things from them before, but more than likely, I will not do so again, as I am not the only person who thinks that their attitude toward potential and repeat customers is uncalled for.

The customer service is absolutely atrocious. The owners are rude, inconsiderate, and display no knowledge whatsoever about firearms.I purchased a revolver from them and while the clerk (owners son) carried my gun to the counter he dry fired it continuously all the way, at least 50 times. They are overpriced by at least 10-20 percent, and treat their customers like they are an annoyance......sorry if I want to look at several firearms before I make a decision, its not like Im handing you several hundred of my hard earned dollars. There are many great gun shops in the area who are reasonably priced and appreciate your business (piestraks, Shawnee guns, and j&s sporting goods to name a few). Stay away from this place, they will overcharge you and treat you like dirt. Theygive the gun community a bad name.

I agree with everyone else Ive bought two handguns and a shotgun here over the years and have been happy with the guns and I got a decent price. But customer service is terrible I dont know if they mean to but they come off very unfriendly

Again. If you dont like selling fire arms then dont open a shop. If you dont like people. Do not open a shop. If I ask to see a few fire arms. Its your job to show me. Before I hand you 600 dollars I want to me sure I know what I want. You people are terribly rude. If you had a 50% off all guns I still wouldnt come there. Oh thats right Im a bother anyway so I guess ya wouldnt mind me taking my business elsewhere. Dont go here. You will be treated as a bother.

Horrible store. My husband and I went into here twice, each time we were in there over 10 minutes and they ignored us like we were bothering them. My husband is law enformcent, they could have had our business and his coworkers business. We just got stuck going there for bait, the outside machine wasnt working so when my husband went in the store the owners just stared at my husband and the one owner just walked away.. horrible experiance everytime we have gone. We will drive out of our way anymore to give our business to someone else.

Horrible experience today! I just opened the door and got in and a big fierce looking dog started to growl at and charge me! It was about 1 inch away from my legs and I had to place my big shoulder bag between my legs and the dog. The owner and a male cashier were there, but they didnt do anything to help me even after I told them I was afraid of the dog and I was literally trembling! I asked them to take the dog away. They wouldnt listen!!! They only said the dog wouldnt bite. I didnt dare to move at all, and the dog just lay right in front of me. While I was waiting for my turn to get my fishing license, a 2nd dog showed up. Both dogs barked at me when I wasnt doing anything. The store owner and his man were very unhelpful! They cant let dogs run loose in the store to scare people. I agree with others for calling them douchbags!! I would never go back there again and I asked my hubby not to shop there!
