Buyer Beware.For some reason, OPTECH appears under a couple of different names online. The bottom line is that I would shop these services around. I ended up with OPTECH because my home builder had limited subs. In general, it is difficult to call OPTECH and reach a person who can answer questions. As a result, trying to finalize my installation details became more complicated and drawn out than it should have been. Watch out for their “time and materials” contract…that becomes their warranty “out.” They don’t really back up their work, but they are happy to come out and try to fix things at $95 per hour. They made a couple of installation errors that required several phone calls to rectify…of course, they billed me for their rectification…which required several more phone calls to try to sort out. They sold me several components which are fundamentally good, but temperamental…again, they are happy to come out and try to sort things out…at $95 per hour. My cheapest service call was over $400. Overall, I paid too much for what I got. I’m looking forward to finding a company to pick up where they left off.

Optech designed, provided the equipment and installed the entire audio, video, alarm and networking systems for our custom-built house and I couldnt be more satisfied with their work and product recommendations. I particularly like the fact that their business focus (schools, businesses, government offices) gives them extensive knowledge of and access to commercial-level vs. consumer-grade products. I continue to use them to upgrade and expand my systems.

OPTECH did an amazing job installing our cameras. Yay for safety and yay for OPTECH! 10/10 would recommend.

We use their services at our business and they couldnt be a better and more helpful company to work with. We will use them from here on out.
