2018-06-23 Wow one year later and visited the new location in Monticello Marketplace and it is awesome and lady that checked us out knew what she was doing, got us in and out! Rating just went from 1 star to 5 stars.2017-06-23 Wow (most of) the personnel in here do not have the best customer skills. You can use discount and or coupons in emails and text messages at checkout. After my wife left the store, she received a text message with 30% discount on next purchase.

The associates are very knowledge, welcoming and friendly. The selection is very well sorted and easy to find. Definitely feels as tho the staff loves their job and being there to help people. Best Sallys ive ever been in, would definitely recommend for anyone to go in there for their haircare needs.

I want to the salon and got some good highlights but after a few days I realized it was still really too red, too bright, and it was just really bothering me. I didn’t really want to go back to the salon and explain how I didn’t like the highlights as much as I thought, so I decided maybe I could fix it myself. I went to Sally beauty supply and Lindsay was beyond helpful! I explained what I was trying to do and she totally understood and helped me get everything I needed to achieve my vision (toner, the right developer, and any necessary supplies, etc.) Mission accomplished! My hair is perfect. The red is gone, the highlights are perfect. All for under $15 bucks which included some ‘treat myself’ conditioning treatments. Thanks Lindsay! Thanks Sally Beauty Supply!

As someone who frequently dyes their hair, Im always in Sallys. Ive been to everyone from Henrico to Gloucester and I have to say this one is THE BEST and now my go to. Lindsey is absolutely phenomenal and she helps every way she can. All of the girls there are great and so kind! And their product selection is always fully stocked! Absolutely love them and their store!

Hey, guys l just left Sally Beauty Supply store in there new location on Monticello Ave and let me tell you l had an unbelievable experience. The previous reviews are old ones based on the old location. The ladies at the new local, especially the store manager Shirley was awesome sauce! All of the old personnel along gone. I will without a doubt continue to shop there for my grooming product needs, thank you, ladies, for your beautiful personalities and professional customer service.

Nice experience! Helpful staff. Open layout, its much easier to find things in the new store. In corner across from a nice ABC store, very convenient to a lot of other stores, not like the hidden location before.

The store manager is so knowledgeable concerning hair care (methods and products - new and old), and make up. She was extremely helpful! Store has an array of products for all hair types as well as cosmetics and other beauty products.

This was the nicest Sallys Ive been to! They were super helpful and had a huge variety.

After reading the reviews I just knew that it was going to be a bad experience. Hmmmm I went in and I was greeted by two Caucasian females. They helped me with everything that I was looking to buy. I don’t ever leave reviews but it’s a must that I do so. My experience was great. 😊

I come here often because the prices are great (especially with the discount card) and I havent been offered help even once. The staff are rarely seen and unhelpful (though not directly rude). I recommend doing product research before coming so you know what to buy and can help yourself, so to speak. But the prices cant be beat.

I go here often and have for the last four years. I have never had a bad experience and the employees always do all they can to help... If youre looking to be waaited on hand and foot, GO TO A SALON... Sallys is perfect for a diy projects and Ive always had awesome experiences with the Williamsburg team.

The manager was rude. Apparently doesnt know how to speak and ask if you need help finding anything. Im just confused as to how someone can become a manager and not have the basic skill when working in retail.... customer service. Not even a “how are you?”... but had the nerve to double check my basket and stand over the lady checking out my items as if I was stealing? Never going back there. Terrible. Only reason I even still bought anything because this is the closest Sally’s Beauty Supply to Toano.

The manager Alice S. has the worst costumer services skills ever! The first time that she was rude I thought that she was having a bad day, but I have been there a couple of times and she always have the same attitude. They should do something about her.

Horrible service. First of all, when i needed help they wouldnt come out of the back. and when i didnt need help this one lady was in my face and very rude. she called me MASTER and i was creeped out. then, when i needed help finding toner because i was bleaching my hair, they had no idea what anything was. i had more knowledge about it than them. and one of the employees working there looked horrible. i mean, if youre working in a beauty supply store i would expect you to look presentable. she hadnt showered in two weeks, baggy torn dirty ugly clothes and didnt look presentable to be at work in general, much less a beauty store. when they werent sure what the hell they were doing, they called their manager to ask what toner i should get. while on the phone with her manager, she looked me dead in the eye and asked me what color my hair was. it was unmistakably black. she was a total idiot. the lady then proceeded to sell me the wrong toner. when i did a strand test it turned my hair green. i looked the product up online and it was for GRAY hair!!! im not even sure it was toner. i was so upset because now i have to live with orange hair until i can find the time to go back to that store. i will be returning the product and complaining. they were unprofessional, rude, gross, and just plain creepy. i suggest to stay away from the employees because they are brainless. the only good about this store is the products they sell, and thats only good because no other store sells it. a low rating from me.

Racial profiling. Olivia is the clerk. My friend and I went to this location. She is black and I am light skinned hispanic. She had the basket in her hand not I. Clerk asked if I needed assistance I said no my friend was shopping....she never asked if she needed assistance. We walked out.

Clerk Olivia is absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable about hair care. Very excited for my new color! I love this Sallys location.
