Best salmon Ive ever eaten that my husband bought here for me! If you havent tried the housemade Lime Caper Mayo...YOU MUST BUY SOME!! YUM!! It has officially replaced my favorite tartar sauce! Great customer service too!

Great food, great value and an outstanding owner. This is one of those rare intimate places were you truly feel welcome and enjoy spending your money. I was nervous coming in because I have two young kids and a lot of questions but Russ is patient and has incredible hospitality. We ended up eating inside and were made to feel like family. I really recommend the tuna sandwich and the hush puppies. If you are in the area and enjoy well priced high quality seafood, beef and or sausage you must support this place. You wont regret it.

I have been dreaming of fried shrimp and hush puppies and when I saw Uncle Russ menu, I was hooked.Well, today I stopped in to get a late lunch and he made my dreams come true!!!Fresh, lightly fried shrimp, the most amazing, light hush puppies, and delicious Cole slaw. Their customer service is off of the charts. I’ve been here three times now and they are always so friendly and helpful. The seafood selection is always on point, but as everyone who’s a customer knows, come early before any of the supplies run out.

It was ok. I was mostly disappointed that the main front lady was not wearing her mask, but along with that the food was so so. I have had their fresh seafood in the past and it was great. This was my first time ordering their cooked meals. The fry on the fish was good. The tuna bites had very little flavor, and the pepper mayo served wasnt all that. My salad had no dressing (I did a pick up order). I would maybe try them again to see if it was just an off day.

A must stop if you are in the area. They have a great selection of fresh seafood, and will cook it up for you right there. And offer some friendly conversation while you wait. We enjoyed a small steam pot and pan seared shrimp and scallops. It was all amazing.

I just want Uncle Russ to know that my family and I came once during the height of the pandemic and he was not wearing a mask while serving our food in his tiny fish market. I asked him to please put a mask on and he instead directed a different employee to help me. We live very close by and would have been frequent customers at this store, however due to this experience will never be back. Get your fish at Fresh Market.

We were visiting from Georgia and Uncle Russ satisfied our local seafood cravings. The pimento cheese crab dip is the bomb.

I had the seafood platter and fries it was delicious! My Fiancé had the crab cakes and it was the best we had in a very long time.

FABULOUS lunch...flounder sandwich & clam poboy. The tiny corn fritters were Delicious. We ate in (at the 1 table) so it would be piping hot.

If youre a seafood purist this is a must stop! Eat in and ask for the family style - pan seared Shrimp, Scallops, and Salmon are exquisite with the housemade dill cream and butter accentuating properly.

I ordered a specialized order. I ordered a big crab boil for my family of 4. It had crab legs, lobster, clams, corn, sausage, potatoes and other stuff. It was amazing and the young ladies that made it are a credit to there profession. I think this was the best food I have ever had.

The best steamed crab seasoning Ive ever had! It was not salty and had a very tasty garlic flavor. We purchased a 1/2 a bushel of #1 male steamed blue crabs for $85. Every crab was heavy! I will certainly visit again when Im in the neighborhood.

Best seafood market in Williamsburg. Selection is limited but what they have has always been fresh. Check out their scallop Pos boys. Very welcoming and helpful staff.

I loved the welcoming spirits they embodied. Prices were great and professionally explained every question asked and with no attitude or rudeness. Overall great amount for the money i definitely recommend anyone who is looking for great food and professional attitudes. Makes you want to return. Conversations were also on point and solid.

The employees/cooks were amazing. Unfortunately i did see a roach in the bathroom and that freaked me out. I truly liked the food and the younger employees, however I heard some of the OLDER MEN making some rude, racial stereotyping remarks which made me mad. That kind of behavior is disgusting and is the opposite of funny!! Spend your money at a business that value morals and basic decency.

I’m from a area that dose seafood a lot and the food was bad and the snow crab legs were good but the Shrimp and lobster was like mush ... but he told me I was wrong and this is from North Carolina and that how it is even after that I tried to be nice and he acted like he could not speak after so sad ......

We found Uncle Russ Seafood Market soon after moving here 1.5 years ago. It has never disappointed us with the fresh seafood. This week they have started selling “Fresh Case Take & Bake.” On a whim today, we purchased the Sesame Tuna & Shrimp Stir Fry. It was fantastic. As my husband said, it surpassed all expectations. Truly, it was gourmet. Thank you, Uncle Russ. We will be buying more of these “Take & Bake.”

We planned to have a good ol southern shrimp and crab boil for 6 people. The staff were very helpful with suggestions on how much and which fixins to make. They even volunteered to boil it for us and have it ready for pickup at our chosen time. We wanted it done for pickup at 5 pm, and were out the front door with our food at 4:59.We got home and noticed we forgot some of our order at the store. Called Russ up and he volunteered to deliver the rest of the order personally. He showed up 7 minutes later.Outstanding customer service, excellent prices, delicious food, and very friendly staff.Uncle Russ is my go to guy for seafood in the Williamsburg area from now on!

Saved me! Super kind and nice guy. I called, in a panic, for salty oysters for a party on a holiday week. I lived 75 miles away but was willing to drive to get party oysters but he kindly suggested alternatives and was good humored about it too. I will definitely go thank him in person when I am in Williamsburg.

Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Russ is the home town favorite. Theyll be more expensive than your local grocery store, but their service is top notch. Seafood is always fresh.

Great place to get your seafood fix. Everything is fresh. Jumbo Lump crabmeat is fresh and a great price. Don’t go to your local grocer and pay double for meat that isn’t fresh and probably isn’t from local waters.

The seafood there was good and the service was not so good. It took a long time for our order to be ready and the young lady there was rude. My wife and I were nice and polite and we didnt complain much. Every time my wife tried to ask her something, she would roll her eyes at her. Didnt even apologize for the wait. Not much of a good experience for us!

Outstanding seafood! We came in on Tuesday for 3 lobsters and saw the tuna, so we came back for sandwiches today! He had the tuna steak with hand made onion rings and I had the fried flounder with potato shoe strings-- Delightful!! No wonder Uncle Russ keeps winning awards!!!

Run dont walk to get the BEST fried oysters in Wmsbg! The oysters were plump, fresh and oh so yummy. Plus, the market is clean and the staff is friendly.

Weve been going to Russs for years! They have historically had the best seafood in the area, plus the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. We usually buy a couple bushels of crabs each summer. However, the last time we went we bought scallops and tuna. The tuna was okay but the scallops smelled off...The flavor of ammonia filled my mouth after the first bite. I thought it might have been the way I cooked the first batch so I changed my method and once again they were inedible. Pretty devastating.

Fresh, expert preparation, good value. Steamed shrimp in Uncle Russ’s Signature boil. Carolina Shrimp; sweet and delicate; boil spice, subtle and applied with a light hand; result, perfection. Shrimp popped in your mouth with natural flavor and intensified after with boil spice. Fried shrimp still did shine through the fry and crab bites seemed to be made with backfin crabmeat to hold up to the fryer and retain that crabby texture and flavor. Great mac n cheese with penne pasta and real cheese. Freshly made coleslaw. I’m a fan!

Owner told me fish was fresh catch of Day in fact it was 3 days old I know this because i called Saturday & was told they had 1 cat fish the same cat fish was there Monday when I finally got there I didnt buy because didnt look fresh what I did buy turned out to be rotten, meat was soft & part of tail on 2 fish was green I had to freeze it because of stink to keep in same state as when I bought it I took back 2 days later he was angry grabbed fish threw in trash can kept arguing at me in front of 2 girl workers who helped him argue at me I think he put money back on charge card than he threw my credit card across the counter it landed in the floor told me never to come back & tell 25 of my friends the same thing worse experience ever I rate his store a 0
