Yesterday, I received my new cross-over Oticon hearing aids with very good instructions from Dr. Hecker on how to use them. He is so patient and caring and made sure that I knew how to use all of the wonderful new features that I have never before seen on a hearing aid. I am thrilled with the new aids and especially with the feature that I never have to change another hearing aid battery! Just drop them in the charger at night! Also am enjoying the use of the phone and my music through the hearing aids. I am thrilled! Thank you so much Dr. Hecker!

Friendly front desk, we had to bring in our little kids and they made room for them and allowed us to have them in office. Even asked if they could have a trick or treat treat from their counter.They were quick to help with paper work and give back my id after verifying my policy.

They run an “on time “ office. My appointment was at 1:30 and that was the time I went back to see the very thorough audiologist. She was great about explaining my hearing loss in terms I could understand. I would highly recommend this office.

Pleasant and competent staff to deal with in taking hearing tests and making decisions that are right for me in terms of needs and cost of hearing aids. New technology explained to me clearly and patiently so that I fully understand capabilities and uses.

When I had my yearly check-up with Dr. Eackles (one of Dr. Heckers associates), I asked him about the mail order hearing aids that are now being offered at a much cheaper price.Without being the least bit condescending, he explained that the hearing aids from their office are as prescription glasses are to drug-store reading glasses. His answer was right on ... the ones you order by mail do work to make things louder -- but theyre not specifically programmed and adjusted for the persons particular hearing loss.All I know is that since Ive been seeing Dr. Eackles and wearing the aids every day, my memory has improved, as well as my relationship with the family members I live with.I no longer find myself sitting in a room or a theater full of people and having everybody laugh at something the speaker said -- and my not hearing it.

Rhonda, his receptionist, is always welcoming and helpful. Shes thoughtful in dealing with the needs of handicapped and elderly clients. WOW! Had an early morning appointment and was seen right away...no waiting. After some discussion about my hearing health, had my annual hearing test, which showed very little change. Dr. Hecker cleaned my hearing aids, etc. and Im good for another year. Hes always this prompt in seeing his patients and truly listens if you have a problem to discuss and offers good solutions. Truly a patient-caring physician!

Dr. Hecker gave me a hearing consultation that set a baseline for future testing. He gave clear instructions during the test, explained the results so they were easy to understand, and was open to my questions. He was friendly, informative, and courteous. My appointment began promptly, which is always a big plus for me, and the receptionist was very polite. The appointment had been preceded by a seminar that was extremely educational about hearing structure, loss, and new technologies and I felt confident going into my appointment that I was going to be treated with the greatest professionalism. I have been very pleased with the help I have gotten with my hearing loss. As my hearing has gotten worse Dr. Hecker and his associates have been able to help me—always with a smile and encouragement. Adding a Cochlear specialist has been wonderful for me and has saved me from having to drive to a Cochlear specialist in Richmond which is an hour and a half away with heavy traffic . I feel fortunate.

My husband and I are new to Williamsburg. Dr. Hecker and associates were highly recommended to us.We found the office to be very well run and welcoming. Dr. Hecker was delightful and extremely thorough in his examinations of us both. When he was done, he sat us down and not only explained the results, but showed us the charts and actual results. Although my husbands hearing was failing, he suggested coming back in a year for another exam to see if he was better suited for a hearing device at that time. My appointment exceeded my expectations! I was admitted to audio testing room without delay by Dr. Yowell and was given a clear explanation of what was to happen. The exam began only after answering several questions about my health and issues I was dealing with in regard to my hearing. The procedure was quick and simple. Dr. Yowell clearly explained my strengths and weaknesses when it came to volume levels as well as pitch and how they effect proper hearing. I asked questions about todays technology and was expertly told about the advances that have been made in recent years. Dr. Yowell made it clear that its my choice to decide when to move forward and that I would know when the times right. 4.28.2021 Was in to have the Phonak Virto B90 hearing aids adjusted.. Theses have preformed very well for me and I am quite happy with the overall experience.As always, the visit was conducted professionally and I felt comfortable from the moment I entered the office.
