Visited yesterday, the owner was extremely nice and helpful, prices are good. Its a very small business so the inventory is necessarily limited but still I liked it a lot.

Ive been going here since I was a kid with my dad. Good shop for guns and ammo. You never know what youre going to find and John gets new stuff in all the time. Ive bought lots here over the years and will probably buy lots more in the future.

Its Great to stop into a locally owned business, and hear stories about your parents, and other family members growing up. They treat me MORE than fair every time I go in. If they dont have what you want... they will get it. Knowledge beyond belief. Top notch in my book, I would recommend stopping in just to say hi, and look around.

Honest, friendly owner with a great pricing. He doesnt look down his nose at you like other places Ive gone around here I wont name but if youve been and you dont look a certain type, you know where Im referring to. The other place youll hear about is pretty much IMO a bunch of kids trying to charge an arm and a leg for guns, some of which had flaws they didnt take the time to inspect. Sauers is the place to buy a firearm.

Terrific service and extremely friendly. The place is a bit cluttered but that is part of its charm. I had a gun shipped to them from Buds Online and Sauers could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Also the owner has a sweet dog in the shop with him all the time and any store that has a dog on staff is ok in my book!

I have been buying from Sauers Trading for a little while now. Every time I stop in to see what he has, he and his son (who is usually there also) always treat me very well. I try and stop in regularly to see what he has gotten in because it never seems to stay in his store long. Everyone seems to buy them up quickly. His prices are also very good. I have never had a bad experience there.

Sauers Trading is a smaller shop, more oriented towards hunting rifles and equipment. Mr. Sauers was very helpful and friendly, and I have done business with him several times. He has given me free ammo with gun purchases on occasion. Every purchase I have made from him has been satisfying.

Honestly its the only place ill ever go. Theyre soo respectful and honest. They have good prices and personalities. Theyre good people. Any time ive had issues or questions on my guns they didnt hesitate. The only place i refur my friends to.

Absolutely amazing shop you’ll feel welcomed the moment you walk in and the owners will do anything for you to see that your purchase is a good one. Even if I ever move from the area I will still travel to give my business to sauers.

Every gun I one came tho Sauers, never ones had a problem with calling and feeling like burden and they are very helpful. GREAT PLACE hand down

Been there many times. Never bought a gun but I have spent money on ammo and shooting accessories. This is one of those slightly cluttered local shops where the regulars go to buy guns, hang out, and shoot the breeze. The owner and his worker(s) behind the counter usually always say hello when you come in and will at least ask once while you are walking around if they can be of help. Many times they have been so busy that you have to be somewhat assertive to get more attention than that. While the prices are good I wouldnt recommend this shop if you intend to look at several gun and linger over choices. If you know what you are looking for and only need to handle a gun or two you are good to go. There is a fair assortment of older military rifles, handguns, and older more common deer rifles and shotguns. The shop features a section with trades in like old guitars, musical instruments of other kinds, clothing, used bows, and other odds n ends. My impression is that the prices on all of this used stuff is negotiable. I also saw, back to the gun counter, a fair number of later model tourist AKs and a good assortment of ARs. This is the place where Andy, Barney, and Goober might hang out while drinking a pop. (yes, there is a soda machine there) It is possible to sometimes feel odd man out if you are not part of the local crowd but I do not think that is in anyway intentional. This is a place where it helps to be a little outgoing. I have no problem recommending the shop but think it better if you have some idea what you are looking for. If you are going to comparison shop for the best price then you ought to give it a look.

I have purchased many handguns and rifles over the past years. Having experience buying from other dealers, I will never buy from anywhere but Sauers. Jon and Don have superior customer service and make customer satisfaction their main goal. They go above and beyond to get the handgun gun you are looking for, in a timely fashion, and ensure you are taken care of before walking out the door.I have had issues walking into the shops of other dealers in the area and there is just constant bad-mouthing and negativity spreading through the shop. You will find none of that at Sauers. They are friendly, courteous and helpful; all while providing you with the best pricing and product around.Thank you Jon (and Don) for your continued excellent service!

Done a lot of business with shop. Always great deals and an honest dealer too! You can not do better in Williamsport area ...except maybe if you have a relative in the business!!

I make it a point to stop in local shops through out my travels and not only is this my home town go to, it is also my favorite. On hand selection might not always be the best but the people are great and the inventory turns over so fast that you never know what you are going to walk into.

This place made my 1st experience trying to buy a gun the worst ever and seemed alittle racist to me. ( let me explain) I went into the store looking for an 45 they only ...only ...had 4 HAND guns in the store NONE WAS A 45 but I seen a 9mm something I know I can handle I smiled and was happy that out of the 4guns they had, they at least had 1 that I would settle for . Anyway I told them my reason y i needed the gun to go share a special bond with my father thats coming back from Iraq I didnt see him in awhile and we planned on going to the gun range . The boss told me as Im filling out the paper Im sorry I cant sell u this gun because U changed your mind in the store and how happy U was to c the 9mm I think this is a STRAWL purchase I had everything legit and give him my license I told him I changed my mind because they didnt have anything and he said that dont matter I cant have that on meLonger story short if your alittle Dark or with someone dark dont go in with a Smile theyll think u are up to no good even when your not.!!! But they wont listen .

Their used guns are over priced sometimes. Once in awhile you find a good deal

Overall the best place to buy firearms in the williamsport area. I have bought firearms here for nearly 25 years and usually if its here it is a great deal. It is not as clean as a hospital but the service is great and if its in the case for sale the price is probly cheaper than anywhere else. If you make a bad decision and need to unload a firearm you get treated fairly well too, the guy has to make a living too really! If you want a family friendly pristine store loaded with every gun under the sun then go to gander mtn or the other big box stores. But if you want excellent service someone who knows you by name and willing to make a great deal nearly all the time then this is your kinda place. Nuf said!!!

I had several issues with the owner of Sauers Trading. First of all, Ive had great experience with other gun shops such as Troxells, National Sporting Goods, and Gander Mountain, however National is the best in town, conveniently located next to CVS in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. Nonetheless, Sauers Trading was the only gun shop who is not family friendly.At one point, I wanted to sell my Weatherby shotgun for about $150 at Sauers. The owner, I cant even recall his name since 2012 because of his rudeness, was somewhat to have had a racial accent. Im not judging he is a racist but the way he talked, his accent was resentful and arrogant. I offer politely to take $150 for the shotgun from the owner and his only response was not interested shaking his head right in front of his old buddies. How humiliating was that? I didnt like his tone and attitude. He is such full of infidelity. What a lunatic dick!No customer should be treated when he or she treat a gun shop owner in a polite manner and the response in a resentful manner. In my honest opinion, I believe that it depends on the customer the owner likes or not...By the way, I managed to sell the shotgun at Gander Mountain and they offer me $200! How astonishing was that!?!? Never again will I deal with the dickheaded owner of Sauers. Mr. Sauers Trading, straighten up your attitude and tone and more will come and like you a lot. Man yourself up and learn how to grow a positive attidude.

Anyone that doesnt like this store loves to pay to much so they can brag about having given their arm and leg to some place like gander mountain. Ive been in maybe a hundred times and the selection changes almost everday. If the owner doesnt have something he will order it. only ever bought one knife there It was a year or two ago on Christmas eve and the owner could tell I was looking for a gift so he marked the knife down from $20and some change to $1 and then said merry Christmas.
