So sorry to see this place close. The ice cream of my childhood!

Im not sure who the young lady was that was working by herself tonight May 15th 2021, But I just wanted to say she was doing and excellent job. Especially since she had a line out the door. She was fairly quick on getting everyones orders. As a retail employee myself who works in a grocery store just down the street from here. I know the spot she was in tonight myself. I had to run a whole grocery store section myself. From one Retail employee to another THANK YOU!!!

Cute little ice cream shop and the staff is always super friendly. My best friend and I used to stop by here once a week when we would get off of work. The ice cream and shakes are delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

This place has horrible fake ice cream and the guy who runs the whole show is not the cleanest of people . I would consider elsewhere for good homemade ice cream . Cheap chinese ingredients, I wouldnt give my dogs an ice cream cone from there even if it was free !

Our family loves Sunset we have eaten their ice cream for years and is by far our favorite. However I have been frustrated lately with their hours of operation as things have understandably reduced hours; however their hours communicated on their Facebook and google page indicate they are open Sundays from 3-9. The last 2 times we were in the area and went they were not open. I did try to confirm the hours before driving out of our way to go however there is no contact number to call listed either on their Facebook or google page. Their updates on google have a post from them as recent as July 2020 stating that hours have been updated but alas this does not seem to be the case as twice now we have been disappointed to find they are closed upon arrival.

Went to get some ice cream and when i got there caught the worker and her boyfriend messing around and said they were closed when there was still 15 minutes left !

The ice cream here is delicious! The portion sizes are very large. I always order a small, and it comes in a cup about the side of a Solo cup filled up past the top. Im a huge fan of the mint chocolate chip and bubble gum flavors because they taste just like ice cream from a shop near my hometown I had as a child. The interior is dated, but some like the feel of it because it shows the history of Sunset Ice Cream. However, as far as I know its cash only.

Historic and well known, perfect Ice Cream Shop. Really outstanding quality and service. Eat there (and take note of historic photos on wall) or Pick up and take home for refreshing anytime treat. Not sure the secret, simply put the best. Tell all out of town visitors that they have not experienced the area unless they have stopped by. Always pleasant environment. If you are near take it from the Ice Cream Fanatic! This is the best! Busy as would be expected, still offers quality that I can not find any competition to. Service has never been anything less than a solid five star. Do not write reviews for places unless they really worth taking the time to share. Enjoy!

My parents used to take me to the old location for Ive cream when I was little. I grew up going to Sunset as often as possible. I moved around for 12 years and no matter how hard I tried, I couldnt find anything even close. I moved back and its better than I remembered. Still the same amazing service and the best Ive cream Ive had.

The ice cream has always been amazing. The inside is spotless. The people behind the counter are friendly. The photos on the wall are great reminders of good ole days. A small cone has about a pint of ice in it for about $2.50USD.

We have been stopping here on the way to Seneca lake for many years. I guess they closed and reopened since the last time, but they have kept the same fabulous experience. There is nowhere else in the world to get a teaberry ice cream cone the size of your head for three bucks!

Sunset has been my favorite since i was little. I absolutely love the banana splits and pruces are very reasonable compared to other ice cream places.
