Dont buy gas generac generators from them nobody can fix them and menards wont take it back Ive only owned it for 20 days

Cashier was very rude because I used a 100 dollar bill. Handed me 50 dollars in 1 dollar bills in change and said she wasnt a bank. Wow guess What we still have currency .Google it.

Called today to speak to plumbing. Bought a portable ac unit couple months ago it worked for awhile so we threw the receipt. We payed cash so I couldn’t look up receipt. The ac stopped blowing cold air. Called today to see if they would exchange unit. She was rude. said nope I cant. I said thats weird because New Ulm said they would. But New Ulm was out of the same ac. She told me nope. So whatever we ended up taking it to New Ulm menards and exchanging it for a upgraded one we just payed the price difference. New Ulm menards is awesome employees! Willmar plumbing employee was rude and didn’t care.

Daniel at register 9 was super rude. He was cranky and had a very sour feeling to him, as well as seemed lazy/ tired barley being able to keep his eyes open. We tried using a gift card from here, we didn’t know the balance, but we just got it recently, we tried to use it and Daniel said it was declined, we asked him to help just in case we were sliding it wrong or something, he said “call your bank”, when the card wasn’t even from the bank. The thing is, the lady in front of us tried paying with card and it said hers was also declined. For me that seems weird that two people had their card declined.

My mom ordered 2 panels of 6x6 vinyl fencing and they didnt get put away, we drove 2hrs from st. Paul to get these and they didnt have them. The 1 girl that was helping us went to help someone else while my mom was standing there.Finally after about a hour of fooling around we got a manager to give us 2 bigger panels to replace the once they sold from under us.

Me and the wife went to the willmar menards to buy/order brand new appliances (new stainless steel kitchen stove and new stainless steel refrigerator) we looked at every one they had, twice, 3 times. Not 1 employee came to ask us if we needed help, nor did any worker appear to be in the appliance area for the 29 minutes we stood around and waited to be helped. I even walked around and looked for someone to ask to help us. Not 1 person could be found. We were actually the only customers in the aisle besides 1 man looking at deep freezers early on 1 or 2 aisles over. I realize that i spent way to much at menards. They dont care about customers, they only care about getting your cash. Do not shop here. I will not do business here again. We wont waste our time there again.

Very friendly cashier. Store was backwards from what we are used making it a bit harder to navigate.

Lady manager was rude.Saying we were returning an item that supposedly we had return at other Menards trying to get credit for it.Why assume ?If we had receipt but forgot it home.

Preston in cabinets was sooo very helpful AND patient! Great customer service skills. Were new at looking for cabinets and she made us feel comfortable and didnt make us feel stupid. LOLEveryone else we came in contact with was friendly.

Had to go to Menards in Willmar to pick up the tile that I had and they were super friendly and pushed it to the cashier and did the carry out right to my truck is very heavy very friendly staff!

My wife is 9 months pregnant and has a medical exemption for wearing a mask. She was stopped at the door and was not allowed in. My advice to everyone, shop somewhere else. Menard, stand up and be American. Better yet, be a decent company that allows freedom of choice. You sell American flags there and yet follow like sheep. I will not shop here anymore.

I ordered two sets of custom bifold doors.. First set was shorter then the size ordered..second set had two chips on the doors... and each bifold was uneven and pretty noticable.. very disappointed

Found everything I needed and then some. You had to go searching for an employee if you needed assistance, but when you found them they were willing to do the work

My 2 grandkids and I asked for help in buying outdoor carpet for the end of our dock. The Menards guy recommended the sturdiest carpet, got the glue and spreader we needed, and also helped us get the exact right cinch straps to hang up our hammock. He was so nice! We were very happy with our visit. Thank you!

Think they need to research the mask thing because weather private or public place if you have a medical condition they can not make you wear a mask. If it was possible to not give a star I wouldnt. Menards its a joke in itself and always has been even befor covid

Store employee immediately jumped upon my entry on wearing masks. For people who have a pre-existing condition, this should not happen. And it is not the stores business if the clientele has any medical issues.The store manager should review the rules set forth by the CDC and the decision upon this.

Menards is not allowing kids under 16? What am I supposed to do, leave my infant in the car? How are single parents supposed to do anything? This is ridiculous. Looks like I will be bringing my business elsewhere. Like across the street to running where they allow a single mother to bring her infant in.

Menards is basically the Walmart of home improvement. Almost anything you need from fixing a leaky sink to completely redoing your houses electric can be found here. If you can’t find it, you can always order it as well. The staff is friendly and can help you find whatever it is you are looking for. The prices too are fairly good, and keep an eye out for the 10% rebates!

Went to purchase an artificial tree the weekend of 12/6/19. Horrible customer service particularly from asst manager, Kacey. Even though prices/quality of trees were better at Menards, we opted to pick up a tree from Home Depot. I won’t be returning to willmar Menards.

Worst experience of my life. Forcing you to buy a mask, that literally does nothing. Feels like we are living in a communist country.

Menards treats their employees like crap!!!I use to work for them back in receiving... I was set for the outside yard... Hot horrible humid scorching day. Did the place of employment bother to offer me sunscreen? something to drink? or help out when this was out of my normal routine? NOPE!!! So, I was burnt red... and I thought I would take a short cool off break cause the heat was making me sick, so I went into receiving to cool down for a moment... The supervisor comes over and acts like a dick to me and tells me to get back outside. After that day was said and done I never showed up for another shift. I highly recommend staying away from Menards for employment and I would also recommend that people go to Home Depot if you can. Home Depot isnt the best either, but it is far better than Menards is.

The management and employees have a bad attitude. I have seen the managers coaching and discipline employees in front of customers. I won’t go back to this company because of the type of people that they hire.

I purchased a Poulan hand held leaf blower/vac from the Willmar MN store on 05/05/2017. I took the unit home and assembled it, it started nicely as advertised....... it was downhill from there. After vacuuming less than a 1/4 bag of dry leaves the intake tube clogged from where the bag attaches. After a little extra work I got it to stop clogging and filled the bag approx 3/4 full. Emptying the bag was laughable. It took 2 of us, 1 to hold the blower vac above their head while the other hand pulled the debris from the back end of the bag. The blower bag only opened about half the distance of the end of the bag which seemed to be the problem, too small of an opening. They would not return it because there is nothing wrong with it. The real problem came with management and the horrendously poor customer service. I am not sure that I want to spend the time documenting that entire process. Rude and juvenile might summarize my experience. On Monday I will be going to the store to discuss this with a GM or somebody. If need be I will go to corporate to file a formal complaint. At this time getting my money back $140.00 is not my priority. Being 60 years old, a professional and someone who often deals professionally with customer service related issues, this was totally inappropriate. The St Cloud Menard store told me they would return it. I am not excited about that 120 mile journey. Sorry I typed while I was angry with my experience

Too many young kids work here and don’t know much. Got the wrong paint mixed due to kid not being properly trained in. Had to pay twice to get it done right. Train your people better Menards!

Great customer service. I needed parts for an old camper and they helped me find everything. There was only one thing they didnt have that I needed, but the gentleman helping me actually offered me one that he had laying around his house. If you need anything they will help you out in every way. Also not to mention they were all very nice to talk to and I had a great time there.

All good. Looking for a sump pump and found one we use. Easy to checkout but if you some assistance it seems you can never find anyone. Been to mutiple Menards and it is always the same. This is their worst problem and could be solved by hiring a few extra people.

Everyone was so helpful and really made my experience a good one even tho I came late and it took a while. Daryl and Conner helped me get the correct number of blocks picked out and Jessie and Jon were so super helpful outside loading all the bricks! They were kind and didnt complain or make me feel terrible (even tho I did feel bad they had to load all those bricks! ). Thank you so much to the staff at the Willmar Menards! A++++!

Hi my name is Darlene and I live in Canada. I called the Menards in Willmar because I was looking for some blue patio chairs and the website said this store had 8. I spoke to a very helpful young man by the name of Jason. He looked on the floor plus up in the stockroom looking for the 8 available chairs. He was so very nice and polite. Unfortunately the chairs were not to be found. Menards is very fortunate to have such a dedicated employee. Keep up the very good customer service Jason! :)

The Wal-mart of home improvement. Employees must be treated like dirt, because not one of them cares for their job. On a recent visit, the cashier sighed heavily and said Only three more hours. How uplifting.

Didnt have what I needed and made me wait in a crowded area while she argued with people about wearing or not wearing masks despite there being no sign that masks were required outside.

So what a day. I just went to Menards. I picked up Couple stuff and I had my man purse with. Some of you already know that I already spent couple of thousand dollars in this store because of a build that were doing. As I finish pain. the cash register lady says to me. that she needs to check my bag just in case I didnt take something. 😨 the gentleman behind me kind of razors eyebrow and I do it too. I address the casher that never happened to me. but she points out on her earpiece headset and says to me. its because my boss is telling me to check. its not me its my boss. I have to do it.I just smiled and I said okay I guess had to. I open my bag so they can check my things. wow what a day huh. Explain that to me Menards from Willmar. I wonder if everybody that comes in with a bag a female bag or a man bag gets checked. is that policy?. Menards Ill let you know how much I already spend in your store over 60,000 Less Than 3 months.

Excellent service. Had some issues while doing home improvements. The GM John got involved and took care of the situation to make it right. I would recommend the Willmar Menards for any home improvement project.

Ive been there 4x looking for brown caulk. Every time that bin is completely empty. I tell them and still no luck. This time I was told it is due to come in 10 days. Ill go to home depot

First Menard that would not help me strap down the items I bought ...not happy with the customer service...building a shop and getting all supply from there...maybe have to change to Home Depot...they are excellent with helping secure items in my truck
