I recently booked a group kayaking outing with The Northwest Passage from the Gillson Beach area in Wilmette, and we had a great time! The crew was ready to meet us, gave quick instructions and safety talk, and then we hit the water. The entire group had a really fun time, and booking was a breeze, too!!

The afternoon adventures program is amazing. My child is stronger physically, but also more in touch with nature, and more upbeat, positive, and engaged at home and school, since she started this class. She sleeps better and bedtime is easier. Everything you read about Nature Deficit Disorder is true. And when you really immerse a kid in nature, with guides who are truly knowledgeable, thats when the magic happens. These guides are not just babysitters for my kids, they are passionate educators about water sports, nature, history, and more.

Nick was amazing. He was extremely attentive to all kayakers and had some really interesting facts about nature. Being my first time on the lake and my first time kayaking, he made me feel very secure and confident. During these social distancing times too, Nick managed to have his mask on right when he got out of the kayak and onto the beach. He was very considerate about all public health protocols which was extremely appreciated. Highly recommend not only this company but Nick specifically. Thanks again!

Everything about this adventure company is exactly what I love and appreciate - amazing guides, sensitive to the habitat, thoughtful comments on the history interspersed with hilarious stories, plus of course incredible scenery appreciated from unique places I would never have gotten to on my own. I had a wonderful 8 day kayak adventure around the island of Santorini! It was a well planned with excellent accommodations. The restaurants we were taken to for our dinners were always delicious!!The guides Christian and Nick were the best. I felt safe at all times even when the weather/ wind was not cooperating. They made the trip full of fun and laughter!I would definitely use this company again and again!

Outdoor adventure is one of the lowest-risk activities nowadays. Even so, this is a tricky time to plan around quickly-changing COVID-19 guidelines... Not with NW Passage! They were professional and responsive at every stage in planning and worked a miracle when we had to switch destinations within 3 days of departure due to COVID-19 travel restrictions... Thank you Keith, Nick and Joan for making sure our week of adventure happen and for seeing it through so professionally and awesomely! Yes - adventure multisport can happen right here in Illinois!

Loved paddling the south coast of Crete with Northwest Passage. Kayaking is a great way to travel from town to town of the unroaded portion of the coast, which we had to ourselves. Warm, clear water, whitewashed villages, great food and drink, and good company followed by a comfortable place to sleep represent the finer side of adventure travel. Highly recommended.

Had an absolutely amazing time with TNP down in Belize for the week. Active, gorgeous, amazing guides, very well done. We do again many times over! Thank you guys!

The kayak experience, scenery, food and lodging were outstanding. But, most importantly, the guides were professional, skilled in the techniques of kayaking, friendly, hospitable and always with positive attitudes. I went on the Apostle Islands trip and followed that with their Crete trip. I could not believe the staff made us deep dish pizza while camping on Sand Island!! It was an amazing experience. In Crete, Kayaking on the beaches of Matala was exhilarating, going on a moonlight paddle in Loutro was breathtaking! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I cant wait to go on my next adventure!!

After 10 trips with The Northwest Passage each subsequent trip is still new and exciting. Blue skies, blue water, great food and great guides, life does not get much better.

Our second adventure trip with NWP circumnavigating Santorini and Therassia was just as amazing as our first was to Crete. Heartfelt thanks to Rick, Christian, Nick (and C.P.) for guiding us through high winds and waves and heart pounding keyholes around the islands and across the caldera. I had complete trust in their judgement and ability to make split second choices. This, combined with fabulous Greek food, the kind and generous hospitality of Jimmy, visits to historic museums, ruins and monastery plus a delicious winery made this a special and unforgettable kayak trip.
