Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They will assist you with basic firearm training all the way to building your own firearms. They have very fair prices and have the most current in stock selection of firearms, I have seen. You will not be disappointed and 100% should stop in! They also offer the CCW course every two weeks (Saturday). Hands down best gun shop in Delaware.

We were greeted at the door my a very nice guy who introduced himself as Alex. I went in to purchase a gun and ended up buying 2. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and patient explaining all the features of the different guns I was looking at. He made me feel comfortable with what I was hoping to look at. Had wanted to build a .300 pistol for months. Walked in to see if I could get a good quality lower, buffer tube, and pistol brace and was able to get all of the parts I needed along with some valuable advice. Was treated like a valuable customer and will def come back.

Customer service needs improvementI’ve been here twice and each time it’s a small man with a complex working behind the counter. The first yelled at me for buying a smaller gun and asked if I wanted to train to shot like Halle Berry. The second time the man behind the counter barked his yes/no answers in the least helpful way possible. You can find the inventory you need but be prepared to deal with people who believe they are Rambo in the flesh.

What an amazing place. They have a smokeless range that really allows you to hone your skills affordably. You go in and request one-on-one time with Kevin (who also teaches the concealed carry class) you pay a nominal fee and then he can set you up with their very realistic simulator. Very cool and not something Ive seen elsewhere.They also carry laser cartridges so you can practice at home with your weapon. They even have dummy rounds so you can practice those skills safely.I have also picked up two very nice benchmade knives from them.Truly worth a visit. The staff are friendly. Prices phenomenal. When I walked into the store I was greeted by Alex. He asked me what brought me into the store today, my interests and what type of gun I was considering. After a number of questions and discussions I settled in on a 9 mm caliber. He showed me four different guns in my price range and with the features I was looking for. I purchased a H&K. While the transaction was being processed he showed me how to field strip, clean and service the gun. Had the best experience here, as a 1st time gun owner they helped make sure I learned a lot about firearms and safety by the time my purchase was complete. The associate went above and beyond helping me decide which was the best type of firearm for beginners and gave me information on the classes they offer. He even helped me save some money and recommended only the necessities you need to enjoy some range time and self defense. Could not recommend this place more & prices were very reasonable too!

I called a few gun dealers to find a specific handgun, most hung up on me when they said they didn’t have it, but not Alex. He said they didn’t have that specific gun but come into the shop and he’s sure they would have something I’d like. After showing me a few guns he found one I liked. Brought a rifle in for StarQuest to sell on consignment for me. This was in early November 2020. Got a bit busy and a couple months passed, no word from them if the rifle had sold. I finally remembered to give them a call, they said yeah it sold a while ago somehow this slipped through the cracks. Said they would have the check in a few days. Never heard from them. I kept forgetting to call (my fault) and another month or two passed. I had to literally hound them for my consignment check. I called 3 or 4 times, and stopped in at least 3 times in about a month period before they finally got my check for me (this was mid April into May). From November 2020 to literally May 2021 before getting the check. It was a Sig 516 they sold and probably went fairly quickly. Never calling me or following up letting me know it sold is horrible service. I shouldnt have to hound them to get the check after they agreed to sell something for me. I was going to buy some ammo from them as they have it for the going rate right now, but Ill go elsewhere after this fiasco.

My salesman was Clint. He took his time to explain in details and show me step by step on how to properly handle a gun, how to choose a gun and how to aim and shoot. Clint was very patient and answered all my questions. He showed me a variety of guns so I could determine what was a good fit for me. I recommend this place and this salesman especially to women.

It is a good gun store but the staff needs to be better informed about Delaware gun law. I ask if take a CCW course I was told no because I was only 18. in Delaware it is legal to get CCW at the age of 18.

Undoubtedly the most disrespectful customer service Ive ever experienced at an establishment! The balding rounder fella with hat in particular needs to be hidden in the back because Im sure hes chasing business away. I asked him simple questions about where to find ammo because they werent supplying it at the time and about different questions about firearms they provide and he was short with me and gave me snarky remarks. Ive never been so disrespected by a customer service rep in my life. very displeased. I will not be returning in the future Ill be giving my business to target master.

I recently stopped in to check the place out and was honestly surprised with the number of firearms available given the current situation. Seemed like they had more options than a big box store 15 minutes south. I was helped by someone who was nice/helpful but was still clearly learning the trade and was over-with their very busy day. My biggest issue with my experience was having to wait for 15+ minutes while the person who runs background checks was ringing someone out on the register while at least 2 other employees were seemingly not very occupied. I don’t know the ins and outs of the biz but this seems like something that could be improved upon. Also, don’t expect big store prices when shopping here and realize you are supporting your community when you make a purchase. Overall the store is nice and I look forward to returning when supplies return to the shelves.

I bought my first rifle today. Service was awesome. Though I’ve had/have a handgun, they went through the application process thoroughly and let me know how many boxes of ammo I could get at the time. Even though I’m female, they didn’t treat me like a dummy - they were respectful. The only thing I wish I’d asked about at the time was having the stock shortened to fit me better. I’ll call and ask about that. Lol.

So I’m from Philly. I’d been looking for the Ruger 57 everywhere in PA. Every time I went to a shop they’d tell me they didn’t have it an didn’t know when they would get it it. So I found StarQuest Shooters, walked in an asked for the 57. They said we don’t have it but we can order it for you. Well if they can order that easy, what was the problem for all the other gun stores. They told me that it may take longer than a month and I would have to do the paper work an background at another gun shop they deal with in PA because that’s where I reside, an that was not a problem. The fact that they didn’t tell me NO, or we Can’t puts them Miles Ahead of the Competition. I just received my call that it’s in an that the other store in PA would call me an let me know when to come in. Know they didn’t pay me for this. I know they did whatever it took to satisfy me (the customer). 1more thing. All of the stores in PA told me that the Firearm wud cost me about $900 when the msrp is $799. StarQuest went above and beyond my Expectations and I most definitely will be doing business with them in the near future an you should to. Even if your coming from out of state. Thanks guy my experience was the best yet. Professional, Courteous an they got the job done.

Merchants rendering services such as StarQuest, Im aways interested in their quality of customer service. The merchandise I can research on my own, but when receiving assistance from speciality shops customer service is first priority. StarQuest has great customer services. Their depth of knowledge about guns and transportation of guns involving multiple states laws is paramount for making gun purchases. The freedom to roam throughout the shop while also receiving quality services are great examples of their friendly environment.

Staff was extremely polite and offered help every time we seemed a bit puzzled. Our salesman, I wish I remembered his name, never down played the fact I was purchasing these firearms as a woman. Very respectful and kind. I’ve already started telling my friends about this place. My fiancé has also. Although it was a drive with traffic for us I will be coming back to them. Being a novice, I was worried about being looked down upon or condescended by a gun store staff, but the gentleman at StarQuest made me feel welcomed.

Great staff. The younger guy that works there was very helpful, very friendly and a pleasure to work with. He even offered to install my iron sights for me. Being a new gun owner, he took his time to explain everything to me. All of the negative comments about the vibe are nonsense. If they are talking about Jason, I just think that is his demeanor. People are too sensitive. I worked with Jason on my background check that was delayed. He was very prompt in getting back to me with my approval. Wish I could give more stars!

Heres the scoop...i used to come here often for pocket knives and EDC gear but as of today I will never come here again, and here is why: I called to check if the store had a product in, they put me on hold and when they did finally answer they basically pitched me a sale of a product I was absolutely not interested in, verbatim; come in and we will sell it to you. secondly, nobody in here wears a mask so if you have a compromised immune system or arent far right like these guys good luck having a comfortable experience. furthermore, when I did finally decide to come in after the call I requested one of the knives to buy, I was ready to drop a considerable amount of money on a primary knife and a backup, man at the register (roughly 300 pounds with a very long beard) said to me in these exact words, I am busy helping someone right now clearly playing farmville on your computer when you have 10 frat dudes in vineyard vines holding Glocks up to each other is acceptable in your store, while you assume that your old customers who dont come in as often will be patient and kind with you. this was the most unsavory retail experience Ive ever had in my life, and to top it all of, right when i was about to leave the shop, a salesman said to me, can I help you find anything?, yes you could have but not anymore fella lol. if i could give less than one star I would
