I have used Derhams for all my auto needs for my wife’s car, my children’s cars, and my own. They have had my trust since i first took my car to them. I was quoted by one of their competitors that I needed all for rotors and brake pads changed and quoted a price over $1600. I went to Derhams, they told me that I only needed the back brakes done at that time (my front brakes lasted for almost 2 more years)and gave me a very fair price. A company and people that are honest and as good as their word are in short supply these days. I won’t trust anyone but the great staff their for all my auto needs.

Had my car engine light investigated at 2 previous places. Derhams was the 3rd car shop. They were able to find a problem and get it fixed. My car is running great now!

I took my truck here after Ford told me that I would have to replace my tires due to a couple punctures. I took it to Derhams and they informed me that they could patch it no problem. I love taking my vehicle to Derhams. They do quality work, and I feel like I can trust them. It needs to be in the best condition possible to keep my family safe, and I trust Derhams with that. Additionally, dealing with Joel is just the best, hes an awesome guy!

I’m so glad I found Derhams Alignment & Auto Repair! When it comes to getting my car worked on, I never have a good experience. I always feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Not with these guys! After researching and reading reviews for a few days, I decided on Derham’s and let me tell you, these guys came through! They replaced my Jeep’s brake pads and rotors, along with a brake flush and serpentine belt replacement. I was very impressed with the customer service, honesty, and ability to get the work done in a time manner. Joel was awesome throughout the entire process! He kept me updated, answered all of my questions/concerns and explained everything in detail. Their prices beat anyone’s in town. Joel and the folks at Derhams are my go-to place for my two Jeeps in Wilmington. I have always had a great experience at a very reasonable price. They are honest and tell me what services I do and dont need. There have been a couple of times where I have brought my Jeep in for suspected issues and after diagnosing, they explain why those issues are normal and not actual issues and didnt charge me for the diagnostics. Cannot say enough about them. They have WiFi so you can get work done while waiting and even have 2 dogs in the waiting area that you can play with and are very sweet.

Durham’s Garage is the ONLY place I trust with all of my different types of vehicles. From an classic Chevy auto to our daily drive-Kia. Our Ford truck was pre owned pre certified off the lot and within months had an ongoing problem that the local Ford certified place (took there since under warranty) could not diagnose or repair. After much time, frustration, and money wasted we had Joel and his crew give her a look. After months of problems with the truck, Ford dealership, and local Ford repair shop Durham’s Garage repaired her FAST, and INEXPENSIVE! The professional service, knowledgeable and friendly service at Durham’s Garage is the ONLY place I will go. 5 stars is an understatement!

Charged me 1 hour for 0.5 hour work. Try to keep me wait 1 hour to justify the charge.

These guys are great - not only will they work on my 50 year old truck (most shops wont work on anything over 20 years), but they do quality work at reasonable rates. Last year they rebuilt everything in the brake system except the rear axle. This last visit, I thought I was having problems with the rear brakes locking up, but they (correctly) diagnosed it as a transmission problem, and refused to replace the brakes because they were in too good shape.

These guys are fantastic. What I like best is they are honest. Had some issues with a vehicle and they were honest. Hard to find these days.

Been using Derham’s for years. They are the best in town. Had them repair some a/c issues to multiple engine issues, even exhaust. Nobody better to troubleshoot suspension and alignment issues. Always been professional in everything they have done for me. Will keep using them whenever needed.

This is the only place to go for a wheel alignment, IMO! They actually do the work and make the adjustments, unlike many others that just leave it if its close and hit print.

Great service overall from Joel (and whoever did the work on my car). I called in the morning and he was able to fit me in later that afternoon. He explained the repair a bit to me to clear up some confusion on my end, and was overall really friendly. Added bonus, they have a sweet shop dog!

I brought my vehicle in because of some steering issues thinking an alignment would solve the problem, the technician called me back after road testing the vehicle and said I have an unrelated problem and that an alignment wouldnt fix the issue and refused to charge me for the diagnosis. The dealership will charge $100+ JUST to look at it! This is good business and I will recommend people come here. I will be surely bringing my vehicle back and sending more people their way!

Derhams Alignment was recommended to me by a friend of a friend to assist my daughter, and after her experience I cant say enough positive things about this business. Well where do i start! went to Derhams when other shops failed to meet my needs, and that was the best decision i have ever made for my vehicle. They worked me in when the were booked wait time was very acceptable and they fixed what others failed to fix. I am very satisfied my vehicle has never ridden as good as it does right now. Mark is very knowledgeable and has always taken great care of my vehicle. It is difficult to find mechanics who will work on Mercedes Benz and do a good job, but Mark has always done excellent work on my vehicle and his recommendations on tires have saved me a ton of money. My vehicle is a C230 Sport and eats through tires every 12,000 miles but Marks recommendations along with a correction in my alignment have helped my vehicle drive smoother and not wear so hard on the tires...He also was able to do my state inspection and oil changes...so he does more than just tires and alignment which is nice!

There are so many shops out there that take advantage of our ignorance when it comes to our vehicles. When I pull out of the driveway of Derhams I always feel confident that my car was well serviced and that real professionals did the job right. I appreciate how they inform you of their additional services and not force them on you with high pressure sales tactics. I really appreciate how they treated my wife with respect. So many shops try to pull a fast one on women when it comes to car maintenance. She is the daughter of an auto mechanic and she commented on how she felt very comfortable at Derhams, they explained what they wanted to do and why, always with respect. That means a lot to me. I also love the fact that they have a four legged employee that greets every customer with a kind face and wagging tail. Derhams has become my first call on any auto repair for my vehicles. Being from out of town and not knowing the area I was recommended to these guys. I just needed the front tires balanced as Walmart (fiancés choice 🙄) did a horrible job the first time around.Honest, extremely fast, and professional. Also very reasonable prices.

Came here 4 times.The first 3 visits were good!The last one.... not so much. Was told I need a new alternator and tensioner assembly. Quoted 1150 or 1200. New alternator for 1350. I get that a business needs to make money so that wasn’t the problem.The problem was that I didn’t believe the front desk associate when he told me the alternator caused the tensioner to wear down. I went to a family member of mine and he said “ those guys were looking to take advantage of you”. Now why would a man with over 32 years of being a certified mechanic and owning his own shop say this if it wasn’t true? The job was just a tensioner and I was out the door for 150 (since it’s family, usually 250 I would guess).Guess what? The belt slip’s 100% gone and the alternator is testing perfectly when we hooked up to it.So, the shop does good work, but will try shady business practices to get more money out of people.End of story: I’m looking for a new mechanic in Wilmington.I look forward to your comment, Mr. Durahm.

I have since moved from Wilmington, but I used Mark for several years. He runs a clean, organized and honest shop. Their work is thorough and neat. Its hard to find a good car shop now days, but I was lucky Mark was there to fill the void.

Stopped in today solely on the reviews. I am from out of town and definitely wanted someone I could trust while on the road. Joel was able to fit me into the schedule and the whole crew there really seemed to mesh together well. The curb I hit didnt cause the major damage I had feared, and they were honest about it. Fixed me up & got me back on the road. Best part was the hostess, Sky ... a beautiful 2 year old pup who curled up right next to my chair and made me feel welcome while I waited! I was traveling through Wilmington when I thought my car began sounding rough. I chose Derham based on its excellent reviews & they completely upheld their reputation.I was given an almost immediate appointment & then informed that not only was my car safe to drive, but also an “urgent” $2k repair recommended by my local shop in DC was unnecessary. They provided me photos & explained the actual condition of the parts concerned, then sent me on my way at no cost.It’s an exceptional experience interacting with an auto shop with integrity. They easily could have exploited the situation. Even though they are out of my area, they’ve effectively expanded their service area & I will consider returning when repairs are necessary to repay the favor & patron a great business. Wilmington is very lucky to have this place on hand!

By far the most professional auto service in Wilmington. I was treated like a close friend with an advantage even though it was the first time I had ever been to the shop. I never write reviews, even when the service was notably horrid (MEINEKE, 3085 Market!) But the staff at Derhams Alignment & Brake Center are genuine honest automotive mechanics. They run the tightest ship in this Port City!

Ive never had any issues with his work. Its fast, high quality, and professional. Ive brought him lowered cars, and big off road trucks for alignment. And never had issues, if i ever have a question about anything after its done, they have always looked at and taken care of. Two thumbs up.

I looked all around and through multiple reviews to get an oil change in Wilmington on my 2016 chevy Cruze, I was quoted around 36 dollars for an oil change on the phone then was charged 67 dollars for a 5 quart oil change. I sure would of loved to have known the price before I was asked to pay over double the amount I was quoted. I am a college student with not a lot of money and I was so excited to try this shop with all of its outstanding reviews but was highly disappointed that these reviews did not reflect the service I was given at all. When I drove back home I noticed my car was smoking and I lifted up my hood to look over everything they had done noticing the reservoir cap had hardly been put back on and my coolant and water was everywhere under the hood and completely gone, could of caused my car to overheat but luckily had not yet.I thought an oil change was suppose to be easy, quick and affordable. Not done properly at all, enough said I will not be returning to Derhams, HIGHLY UNSATISFIED..

I have found Derhams to be one of the very, very best places to take my Toyota Tundra for repairs and normal maintenance.
