In the times I have used him, he will tell you what can wait and what can not. He is fair on prices and truly seems like an honest man. I trust him with my mothers car, and that is saying something.

I brought my wifes Honda Pilot to Ken Hoffman Automotive after a recommendation from my father in law. The Pilot had a strange clunking and rattling noise in the front end that had been happening for months. I had looked several times and could not find the cause. Being a mechanic that I did not know personally, I was afraid that this could turn into something expensive after lots of parts changing to diagnose the problem. That was not the case at Ken Hoffman Automotive. They used targeted troubleshooting to diagnose the problem with the front end, and found that it was just a few loose nuts on the strut mount causing the noise. I dropped the vehicle off around lunch time and had it back before 4:00pm the same day! Ken was very professional and explained how they found the issue and corrected it. Ken Hoffman Automotive also charges a competitive labor rate compared to other shops in the Wilmington area. I will definitely do business with Ken Hoffman Automotive again and would recommend his shop to anyone in the Wilmington, NC area.

Im writing this review in earnest ! I Personally have know Ken Hoffman for many years and been visiting Ken Hoffmans Automotive for years.. I think it may be karma.. But I have had a lot of trucks and cars repaired the past few years ! Ken has fixed them all for me at some time.. Seriously, brakes, radiators, timing belts, transmission and of course a blown engine too or two... If my car broke tomorrow it would be Ken Hoffman Automotive I would have it towed too, need I say more ? Ken is a great mechanic ( Dealer Certified ), hard worker and reasonably priced as well.. HE KEEPS MY 94 CHEVY S-10 RUNNING GOOD AS NEW PLUS CLEANED MY EVINRUDE E TEC FUEL INJECTORS AND ITS NOT SLUGISH ANYMORE.....NOBODY ELSE IN WILMINGTON CAN CLEAN EVINRUDE INJECTORS.....ILL GO TO HOFFMANS UNTIL I TAKE THE DIRT BATH AS HE IS HONEST AND WONT RIP YOU OFF

Brought my vehicle to him because it wasnt starting and told him not to cut any wires because that was not the issue because it was starting prior upon picking my vehicle up he said it was fixed when in fact it was not I ended up taking it to someone else and they resolve the problem and he charged me a bunch of money
