We built our first Kegerator and had TONS of questions. The guys at Wilmington Homebrew answered every question and had all the parts needed to build it out.They are super helpful, super friendly and knowledgeable. I plan to start brewing soon and can’t wait to work with these guys more!

These guys know about beer! How to make it, how to serve it, and how to teach you how to make it at home! Every one here is knowledgeable and full of great conversation. Dog friendly and a bring your own food option make this place unique.

Theyve got all the equipment and most of the ingredients you need to brew any drink you can think that doesnt require a still (if they do sell distilling gear, Im unaware of it). The supplies Ive bought have all been surprisingly inexpensive.You do have to go up and ask someone if you need help finding something and it can be difficult differentiating the employees from the customers since there appears to be no formal dress code or name tag system. I havent been offered help finding anything, but Ive only been 3 times as of yet.Once youve got (or if you get) their attention, the employees are all quite knowledgeable of their products and will happily help you in both finding what youre looking for and helping you determine what exactly you need for your particular brewing goals.They have also quickly and authoritatively answered every question about the brewing and bottling question Ive brought to them. They know their stuff!

Super knowledable and friendly staff. I know the basics to brewing, and decided to start myself. The staff was wonderful, walking me through what to buy, where to find it in the store, and gave me tips to be successful on my brew day. They dont sell the typical brew kits you find online, however have their own recipes and will help you build a kit with fresh ingredients, all priced lower than kits online. They have won my business, I dont see myself going elsewhere for supplies in the future. Highly recommended!

Stopped in a month ago, picked up a bunch of stuff that I needed to have a massive brew weekend. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they shared a couple of recipes with me, that I tried out that weekend. The beers should be ready to crack open this weekend, and I can’t wait to taste the end result. Sadly, I live in Myrtle Beach, SC, and can only swing up there once a month or so! But I’ll definitely be back next month!

Stopped by to get supplies for my very first attempt at brewing beer. The gentleman that helped me was very helpful and took care of everything: questions, advice, and grabbing and milling all the malts and grains for my bag.

By far my favorite brewery in town. The breakfast stout recipe must have been handed down by the good Lord himself. Large IPA selection too!

Great location, great selection, great people, great beer! I never expected to move from Boston and find my new favorite local homebrew supply in Wilmington, but here we are. The way they operate as a full brewery and provide scaled recipes for all their beer is genius.

Some of the best beer in Wilmington, NC without a doubt. Great spot to hang either in the main area or in the back where all the games are on the loading dock. Check this spot out for sure!!!

A lot of items are not priced, you have to ask for the price. Everything is decently priced for everything I saw, and purchased. The store in Jacksonville has slightly lower prices and everything has a price on it. You dont have to hope its not an arm and a leg when you go the check out. Id go back if I was in the area and needed anything for Homebrewing, but I would not go out of my way to go here due to the prices not being listed and what they do have is slightly higher than another store a city over; they are just closed Monday and Tuesdays.

This place is awesome, and has inspired a whole new generation of Wilmington Home Brewers and Craft Beer enthusiasts. I had been brewing my own beer for several years, but had given up on the hobby due to a lack of suppliers in the area. When they opened this place, put on brewing demonstrations, and had a build your own kit philosophy, it was like an epiphany for brewers in Wilmington. We finally had some great help, advice, and the right ingredients to brew the beer weve wanted to brew all along. The owners are nice, inviting, young, and full of life. You wont find a more friendly business in Wilmington to get your brewing supplies from. You can invent your own kit, or follow one of Johns house recipes. Think Ill head there now to watch their Saturday Brewing Demonstration and see what is on tap.

Great place for both buying brewing supplies and enjoying the beers they have on tap. Very helpful staff whether its your first time, fifth time, or you have an established homebrew process. Impressive selection of grains and malts - great self-guided tour of the facility in the back, and overall a great place to shop around while enjoying a beer from the tap. Highly recommended for both a shop and a brewery!

This is a superb Homebrew supply shop that also has a taproom. It is very popular with the craft beer crowd. Parking is totally inadequate, tho.

Homebrew prices are fantastic. I buy all my homebrew supplies from these guys and dont purchase anything online. I buy everything else from kayak paddles to wood screws on amazon but anything related to homebrewing is purchased from here. Their beer is delicious, the space is cool, with some lovely picnic tables outside. Its dog friendly, the staff are all phenomenal, and the owners are the coolest people Ive ever met. They make it a point to communicate with customers and know all the locals. At the time Im writing this review, I believe there are currently 10 breweries open in Wilmington and this one is in my top 3.

Awesome place! I love going here. There beers on tap (and now canned) are some of the best you can find anywhere. They are very welcoming. You can tour the brewery anytime you want. There is also an area to hang out outside where you can play cornhole with friends. They even have free brew demonstrations each month. Sometimes theres a food truck available (live the Taco life). The owners, John and Michelle fund raise for your community and are just great folks.JB will get you set up with all your homebrew equipment and supplies. He is very patient and explains things well.I love it! Keep up the good work!
