A classic full-service, community gathering place, personal touch, local color bookstore. So different from the corporate mega-stores, with their mass-market lowest common denominator approach. Great and carefully-chosen collection of fiction and local interest, kids, and genres. Owners are caring and helpful. New location is excellent but no longer on Ninth Street. A wonderful place to browse and learn.

I absolutely love this little book store!!! They are always so polite and have what I am looking for. If they dont have it, they always offer to order it. They are very knowledgeable and I always leave with my questions answered. They also offer rewards based on the amount of items you buy, and it definitely saves you money. Another great feature they offer is the birthday club, they send you a money off coupon for your birthday. Which again SAVES MONEY!! SO WITH THE SAVING MONEY AND GREAT - NOT GREAT - EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE - 9TH STREET BOOK STORE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

An independent book shop, great greeting cards and stationary. Jack and Gemma special order books for me if they dont already have the books I want. They also have an extensive childrens book area.

Lovely local bookstore with good, sizable children section. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I try to do most of my gift shopping here, not only because they have a good selection for a bookstore its size, but also because gems like this make Wilmington a richer community.

Poor customer service. Advertises a 1-2 day return policy as long as the book is in good condition (which is fair for a book store) only to tell customers attempting to return who meet the regulations they wont accept returns if they assume the customer has already finished the book. Also not very warm atmosphere in store and lack of full archive for novels. I can understand why the rumors of them slowly going out of business around Delaware exist and people are rarely in there. This store is awful.
