I had the experience of purchasing a 2015 Cadillac Escalade from Flow Cadillac over the weekend and Todd was awesome to work with. I saw the vehicle online, called to inquire about it and received additional pictures of the vehicle. I made a 3 1/2 hour drive down to see it and Todd and the others at Flow made the buying process so easy. I will most definitely purchase a car from there again as well as refer my friends and family!
As promised I am updating my original review.This review is strictly related to the service department as I feel as if it has gone way down hill ever since Flow took over. We never had a single issue when Rippy owned it but have had several issues since Flow took over. Most recently was when we took my wife’s CTS in for an AC issue. AC was “fixed” under warranty however the issue still persisted and we were in a round about way told there was nothing they could do, even though it blew heat. Car was there for I believe about 2 weeks, while in their possession the door was scratched, which I will admit, they did fix, but it was a bit of an inconvenience and more of a struggle than it should’ve been to have the damage repaired. We ended up selling the car due to the AC issue which we strongly believed would never be resolved by their service department.We ordered a new 2022 CT5 Friday and have had great experiences with Todd in the sales department as he is whom sold us the CTS originally. Nothing but positive things to say about him and the sales staff, it’s the service department we now have an issue with. The new CT5, whenever it arrives will not be serviced here unless there is a warranty issue.Overall I’m sure you will have an okay visit with the service department but my wife and I will not be using them again, we just wish Rippy had never sold out to Flow. Rippy was always a 5 star service experience.
Just traded a 2018 Honda CRV for my 2018 Cadillac XT5. Todd Rogers was fantastic to work with. It has been 17 years since I have bought from a dealership and was kind of dreading the experience, but Todd and the team at Flow Cadillac made todays experience painless. I worked as a mechanic at Rippy for 7 years and then Flow for 6 months or so before retiring to handle my late parents estate in Wake county. (Means I drive a lot lately.) That I have my wifes GM product (Equinox) serviced here rather than DIY should tell you I trust them completely! My Mazda is still under warranty, so for now its just oil changes for it at Flow. Jason in service is always wonderful to work with and Eddie always makes sure my wifes vehicle looks amazing after service.Its a little odd being on this side of the service counter, but I have good experiences here vs. an experience at a Flow Mazda dealer in a different city that I wont elaborate on here.If you are wondering why I have a Mazda and not a Cadillac it was strictly a fuel economy decision since Im driving Wilmington to Cary and back routinely; when that settles out in a Year or two Ill see what Cadillac is offering ;)

Not happy with Flow and how they transitioned from Rippy. Service is no longer great. As soon as i get my car back today (They never even looked at it and its been there for 8 hours. Also no one called me to tell me that I wont be getting my car back today.) This will be my last time ever using this dealership and their auto service

I purchased a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited from Flow Cadillac over the weekend and I wanted to share a little about the amazing experience I had. I had been looking for a particular vehicle for months, and finally found what I was searching for online at Flow Cadillac in Wilmington. Living three and a half hours away, in Charleston, SC, I feared the distance would make an already daunting task (dealing with car dealerships and pushy salespeople) even worse. Much to my surprise, from the very first phone call I placed to Flow, my car buying journey has been nothing short of phenomenal, and I have two incredible people to thank for that. Blake Curtis was my first contact at the dealership and he went above and beyond in every way. He helped me secure the type of financing that fit my specific situation. He listened to what I had to say and didn’t try to push something on me that I didn’t want or need. He stayed in contact with me throughout the week until I was able to get up there to see the car,...he even gave me his personal cellphone number and he offered to hold the vehicle at no additional cost. He promptly returned my texts, answering the many questions I had. When I arrived I at the dealership, I was treated like royalty. I didn’t have to sit around and wait on anything. The process was so smooth, quick, and easy. They had me test driving the car within the first few minutes of arrival. Ben Howell accompanied me on the drive, and within minutes the two of us were chatting it up like old buddies. He was so personable, and had the ability to crack jokes and make you laugh, while remaining polite and professional...not to mention genuine. He was so knowledgeable and explained the sales paperwork flawlessly. I didn’t know buying a car could be so easy and fun!! The final price was exactly as discussed (there were no surprise add-ons) I really cannot say enough about the top notch service I received from these guys. I purchased my 2014 Cadillac SRX in March, 2021. It is now the end of June. I still have not received the title or the license plate for this car. Im driving with an expired temporary plate. Also, Marshall harrassed me for over a half hour regarding purchasing a warranty that I told him numerous times that I did not want to purchase. I will never go back to FLOW or refer them.
Great Experience. This is the second time I have ever purchased car and I never knew the experience could be so Great. I found the listing online, inquired and the next night I was driving home in my new car. It was no hassle, very straight up and very little paperwork - and easy to read. I was very impressed!!! Very competitive pricing, detailed car reports, easy trade in, and BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!
Certainly not the service that was always given by Rippys. Inquired about rearview mirror repair. Was informed by snippy young man at cashiers desk that they dont just glue, they do definitive repairs and would have to order new mirror. Really? Wonder what he would have told a man? Went home, took it apart, scraped old glue off mirror mount and remounted with a repair kit. $8.97, not $500 that it probably would have cost with new mirror and labor costs. My father dealt with Rippy for many years. No more Cadillacs will be purchased in Wilmington.

Bought a 2009 cadillac cts from here. Weve had to bring it to the shop 2 times in the first month of owning this vehicle. The car is using oil at an alarming rate. I have to add 4 qts or more of oil every 2000 miles!!!!!!!! I continue to be told that is normal oil consumption. The back end of the car is covered in oil spray all the time. Flow does not give any help and keeps blowing off the issue !!! Do not buy a car from these people!!!!!!!!!!!! The car is under warranty and these issues fall under the warranty but they just dont want to have to fix it. Very bad experience here

Cadillac referred us to several Major Cadillac Dealers in NC. Contacted them all with what I was looking for and received best offers from all of them including a few like Hendrick and others offering Guaranteed lowest price or they would beat any price. Rippys 1st offer was much better then any other Dealer and no one could come close to it. Some actually seemed offended by how great a deal we received or did not believe Rippy could offer such a great deal. The Team at Rippy was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. I had emailed Todd Rogers on Christmas day with questions about a Solstice his group had listed. He responded the next morning by 9 am and answered all of my questions. Additionally, he provided me great history information on the vehicle, something I didnt request. He and his group were flexible in negotiating a final sales price, and were able to put me in the Solstice at a price point I felt was very fair. When I arrived at the facility, Todd greeted me and answered all my questions. He didnt guess at any of the information, and found me precise answers to all my questions. There were a few minor issue with the vehicle that I noticed and pointed out. The dealership addressed all of my concerns and replaced/repaired items that I had questioned. Further, they dropped the sales price slightly due to the hassle. Additionally, without my request, they filled my fuel tank for me.I was very impressed with their flexibility, timeliness, response, and fairness, and feel that I was able to purchase a vehicle that Ill enjoy for years. This dealership takes advantage of little old ladies. They sold my grandmother a car that has been broke down since the first day we had it. For the first two weeks we had to call them every day because it would not crank finally they replaced the battery but did not fix the cause of the battery drain. It has been 18months and the brand new battery already needs to be replaced which on a fixed income she cannot afford but apparently there is no warrantee on the battery because they replaced it for free. They replaced it for free because they sold us a car that would not crank. So if you would like to be screwed over and ripped off rippy Cadillac is the place for you
Every once in a while you come across a car dealership that is just so incredible they amaze you. I got a great deal on a Lincoln Navigator at Rippy Cadillac in Wilmington, NC. After the warranty expired I ran into a minor mechanic problem while in Myrtle Beach late Friday afternoon. My plan was to drive back to NY first thing Saturday Morning. The Rippy General Manager jumped right in coordinating with my mechanics in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina There are many car dealerships but there are only a few truly GREAT Dealerships and Rippy Cadillac is that kind of dealership .... priceless. I had an excellent experience with Rippy Cadillac overall, and Ben Howell specifically. I was in the market for a new car and my husband and I dedicated a few hours to visiting different dealerships one Saturday. I was very interested in one of the vehicles, but wasnt quite ready to make a decision at that time because I had just started looking. Ben was very helpful, but not at all pushy (unlike other dealers we had visited with that day). By the time I had made up my mind and was ready to purchase a vehicle, the one I was interested in was sold. So, I contacted Ben and asked him to let me know if he got anything similar to the one we were interested in. A week or two later he called me to let me know that someone was trading one in the next week. He called the day they dropped it off and we visited that evening to see it (and ended up purchasing it). Ben really goes the extra mile and has excellent customer service.

The service writers are always pleasant, direct, and prompt. The care taken of your vehicle is excellent. Whether or not they do complete the work, they wash and vacuum it before it is returned. Theres no pressure to complete the work if you dont have the funds, but they dont sugarcoat that work needs to be done and will advise you on a reasonable timeline and problem solve if you need to find a way to split the work up. Reserving time is best saved for actually calling, though, as the system will allow you to select times that are already taken. Calling is your best option at this time. Also, if you have to wait on site, their waiting room is comfortable, they provide coffee and light snacks, and wifi.
Professionalism of the sales associate Doug Griffin convinced us to buy. His kindness and patience with explaining each and every detail of the vehicle allowed us to see how dedicated he is to his profession as well as the general public. Wish we had met this young gentleman many years ago. Never at any time did we feel pressured to buy.

Our SRX had a transmission issue while we were on vacation. We had to rent a car to get home and after almost a month were told the car was fixed. On the way back home the check engine light came on again. Our local Cadillac dealer had to do extensive work to fix the transmission correctly.

Ive leased 4 Cadillacs from Rippy over the past decade and the service has always been top-notch on both the sales and service side. This past week, I found that I had a nail in my tire when I arrived back to the airport. I went to Rippy without an appointment, and they were still able to fit me in. They had me on my way in less than 30 minutes. Just one example of the service Ive received over the years.

Great in Sales; Mixed in Proper SupportLove my Cadillac, but not very happy with the issues I have had. Whenever it sits for a few days, the battery goes dead. First Rippy found a shorted Lumbar motor and unpluged it. Worth the cost I thought, but than the battery went dead again and it was supposed to be the battery, so I bought a new battery. 2 different times. I took the last battery to a parts store and they charged it, testedt it and it was good, so I went back to Rippy and ask them to find the issue. This time they said it was the part that test the battery charge, so I paid for that, which I thought was a bit expensive. The next time the car set for a few days, the battery died again.I do not mind paying for a real fix, but I resent having to keep paying while they guess what it might be. What frost me most, is that they should, very easily be able to tell if there is power draw. Even if they have to disconnect the remote unlock to find it. Not real happy. Cadillac may not be my next car purchase.
My experience with these folks was absolutely unbelievable!!!The collision center was recommended by my insurance company.They did an awful job.No one expected.the vehicle before they called me to pock it up.I got there and my car looked hideous! Two weeks later,I was told to,bring it back so they could get it right.NEVER take your car there for anything to be repaired.

Just purchased our first Cadillac at Rippys. If the sales experience and service weve received so far are typical of what we can expect at this dealership, we will be customers for life! We purchased a pre-owned, certified 2018 XT5, the car had very low mileage and was almost perfect, inside and out. My husband wanted two small cosmetic issues attended to, neither were critical but their repair would put the vehicle back to a pristine condition. Our salesman, Ben Howell, never hesitated, he ordered a needed part and scheduled service right away. When it turned out that it was necessary for us to leave the vehicle for the entire day to complete the work, apologies for the wait were made and a loaner car was promptly produced. We live an hour and 45 minutes from the dealership and we assumed wed have to return again the next day to pick up our car. Nope, Ben told us not to worry about it, he would have our car returned to us and the loaner picked up the next day- there was no need for us to make another trip! Not only was our car returned by noon the next day, it was filled with gas, the cosmetic issues had been perfectly fixed and the car was immaculate! We still cant believe the incredible level of service Rippy provided, this is almost unheard of today but very much appreciated!

I took my 2016 Escalade into Rippy service for a vehicle vibration concern (non-brake related). The problem was quickly recognized and the necessary corrective action was explained to me by the service manager. The problem is know at GM and they had implemented an interim service fix until the necessary production solution components were available for installation. The short term service fix has resolved the vibration, but the service manager did state that the vibration could return over time/mileage. So far so good (2,000 miles).Just a good profesional experience with the Rippy team.

The staff is always friendly, knowledgable and considerate of your needs and especially your time!!! In this day in time- it is very hard to find a business that understands what makes it successful! Rippy knows that they are successful mostly because of their customers and they always prove to you how thankful they are and how much they appreciate your business! They treat you like family! I live in Raleigh now but still bring and will continue to bring my truck to Rippy for service, inspection, or any problems I may be having with it!

I purchased a GMC Acadia from Rippy 6yrs and close to $30,000 ago now. AC went out the first week, and it leaked oil the whole time I owned it and we could not keep tires on it. They washed their hands of me untill I contacted GMC. GMC is an awesome company and they helped me, as of 2dayi have no car to show for the money I spent there just a learning experience. I got Rippy-ed.
Want to thank Ben Howell for great customer service. My process was super fast!Within your 30 days warranty they will prolong getting back to you so they wont have to pay for repairs. They waited until my 30 day warranty was up when I sented them a repair order 15 days before it expired.

As of right now, my experience is neutral. Because I have a 2013 SRX that has less than 50,000 miles and the CUE system is frozen and needs repair. This is a problem that Cadillac has knowingly had issues with for quite some time now. The warranty just expired on my vehicle in October of 2018,(imagine that) So, I have a vehicle with less than 50,000 miles and is still in very good condition, a CUE system thats had its share of flaws in different Cadillac models and Cadillac wants me to feel good about coming back and buying another vehicle at some point, REALLY?UPDATE: I would like to thank the folks at Rippy and especially those involved in working with me to help eliminate my issue with the CUE system. I really appreciate/commend you guys for stepping up and handling the situation in a professional manner. In my situation this says a lot about being dedicated to CUSTOMER SATISFACTION and that goes a long way when someone is considering a purchase from your line of automobiles. Again, thanks!!

All I can say is this. If you want it done right go see Rippy. I have been dealing with them for over 8 years and not one time have I ever felt like they are taking advantage of me or selling me something I didnt need. Purchased a Cadillac Escalade from them... obviously had no need for a spare tire, so didnt even worry about it. Later on, I had a need for a spare tire. And guess what? No spare tire on the vehicle, where one should be. On a certified vehicle, that was supposed to have been inspected. Called them and was basically told to kick rocks.

We had a very delightful experience related to our purchase of a new Cadillac XT5. Eric Hartley was wonderful to work with. Not high pressure, just the right amount. Answered all our questions very accurately. And he went through all the features and electronics. If you want a Cadillac, go to Rippy and look up Eric for your own great experience. By the way, the XT5 we got is a fabulous ride. Quality execution throughout. Dont listen to the few raters that say the vehicle is underpowered. They are all rating from a racers perspective. The 320 hp is all you need and the Fuel Economy numbers show its a winner by comparison.
