When I work in Wilmington I would always stop at this place. Not a very large store, but they have a great collection of candy, including things that you dont see very much at other places, even some things that I havent seen much since I was a kid.

The TuesCrew of Ohio TuesDayTrips stopped at Windy Acres Country Store outside Waynesville, where they have many interesting items for sale such as décor, food items and candies. The store is a fun stop with free coffee and a train set that entertains young and old. One of the crew picked up some local honey. A couple others were looking over the pies and muffins trying to decide which would be the tastiest to take home. That is until I ruined their sweet dreams by pointing out they are not edible. They are really fancy candles! Lends a whole new meaning to a warm blueberry muffin. Right?Get off the freeway and check this place out!

Cute store and the folks outside were friendly. The cashier on the other hand yelled at us that they were closing. We had never been there before and technically we still had 8 minutes. Its safe to say we will not be going back. We dont like dealing with rude people who could handle themselves better but choose not to.

This place has the old fashioned Dill Pickles from back in the day like the early 70s I love them I take a ride out there just for pickles its a little far but surely worth it I buy them by the jar full.....

Have items not found in usual stores....from old to new...mostly old. Much like an old time store. Great unusual gift articles. They have hundreds of articles, I might even say “thousands”. Clerks are always courteous and friendly. They answer your questions and provide help if you need help. Worth your visit.

The type of place that Ohio people know and love. Homemade preserves, crafts, candy, trail mix, candles etc. I took a co-worker there while we were out on the road and she LOVED it, as did I. She purchased some lavender hand cream, which she later said was fantastic, and I bought some honey bbq snack mix that was delicious. Legitimately the type of place you WANT to spend money because it supports local business, things are of great quality, and the prices are fair. There’s a really cool porch leading up to the store as well with what appeared to be hand-crafted furniture. Stop in if you’re near Wilmington. It’s more than worth it.

Cute little country store with a bunch of different things to choose from....honey, nuts, candy, snacks, spices, jams & jellies....& so much more. My only complaint is we noticed far too many items severely expired. We bought a bag of gummy pumpkins that had to have been so old...they smelled so bad neither of us could bring ourselves to eat one.

I love Windy Acres !!! My Mom sends me there to get her their grapefruit candy slices and their chocolate vanilla clusters, my sister likes their cinnamon balls (hard candy) and I like the malted milk balls & butter mints. The selection of candies is large. They also carry candy from years gone by -- necco waffers, chewy Taffy bars, candy bars, gum etc. The store sells many things to decorate with, also candles and other food items. Old fashioned items and essential oils. The sky is the limit. I find it to be a really neat, interesting & charming place. Nice train set that runs. My nephew loved it. Check it out and enjoy. Bet youll find something to buy !

Love thus place. It takes a while to see everything. You can always find great gifts there.
