I’d rate this store a zero if I could. Covid restrictions vary by which door you enter???? Are you kidding me???? Go in the grocery door and you aren’t required to put a mask on or anything, but go in the home/pharmacy door and you are???? Is there new science that I’m not aware of regarding Covid transmission through a vaccinated person based on going through one door vs another???? Get it together Walmart

Absolutely love this store. Their dedication to doing the customer right and keeping everyone one safe and healthy is amazing. Plus all of the employees are SUPER SUPER Friendly, I guess thats what happens when u actually pay your employees a decent wage.

My family and I were harassed at the store on September 5, 2021. The receipts checking lady that’s usually stands by the door stop us right after register. My husband was pushing the car and I had the receipt walking with my two little kids little ahead. I walk by hand the receipt and my husband walk out because she already made harassing comments to him. She start talking to my kids like we stole something. My boys start asking questions because it was very aggressive approach why she is doing that and she start making comments about pillow missing on receipt and parents will have to explain. My older son start having anxiety and I finally after her checking for 5 min and making comments about pillow I step in asking for receipt. I point the pillow to her that was 15 dollars ( we spent 600 that day). She did not apologize but said well let me check everything else. My kids were crying and said no that is enough and I start walking to the door when she called security. At that point my husband took the shopping cart and my child was holding the side when the security pull the cart and my kid got hurt. I point the receipt and told ( more scream in that point ) what happened . Eventually they apologized. I truly believe the person that stop us should take legal consequences for harassing kids and causing major anxiety.

Always a go-to. Associates are super helpful. I went in a couple weeks ago and lost my phone, shout-out to Danielle in customer service for her help in finding it!

That chick acting like a linebacker at the front door demanding you take a mask from her needs to understand her actions cause more spread than anything. Getting that close to every person means if she gets close to you then you have been exposed to everyone she was close to. Her being 70+ years old its evident she dont care about anyone else but the job as she stated. Stay free my friends stay free. Afghanistan is accepting people if you want someone else to tell you what to do with no choice. By all means go.

Once again felt I wasted my time coming here. Shelf’s we’re not stocked. I ha e no problem with the self checkouts but o my one accepted cash payment. Also I needed assistance at the register, waited over 5 minutes and still no one came to assist me and had to track down a cashier for assistance. .

Lines are long, shelves empty. They need to hire.more cashiers

Customer service was horrible.We were in garden center needing assistance to get a Christmas tree. Asked associate that was in beauty section for assistance or to page someone and was told to go up to check out to ask for help. Went self check out and asked associate to page someone, was then told to go to customer service to make request.Left without purchasing a Christmas tree. Will not shop there again😡

Nice store! Glad they had a register open, as hubby doesnt like the self check out. He thinks they are job killers.

Not the old Wal-Mart, shelves empty in places, no ammo or any firearms, pretty dingy and worker morale appears to be suffering. Seems like the model for driving a business into the ground. If that is all Wal-Mart can offer, tear them down and revert to green space/parks. It pretty much wont be missed. Even the occasional derelict customer stays away.

Walmart is a great place to shop. They have Wilmington t-shirts that are really nice. The only bad size is the shelves are not stocks like they should be.

Walmart at Monkey Junction has been updated. After months of putting up with rearranging grocery and other departments, and re-doing the floors, and many other changes, the Walmart on Carolina Beach road, or as us locals call it, the Monkey Junction Walmart has completed most of its updated remodel. The biggest change we can see is that all but 10 of the employee-ran checkouts have been removed and more than 10 additional updated self-checkouts have been added, making this store to now have more than 30 self-checkouts. This should be a help to getting us in and out a little quicker, as soon as they start accepting cash at these self-checkouts. But there are also many customers who feel that they did not come to the store to check there selves out and will like the employees to actually do their job. Our visit Sunday was a pleasant surprise when you see the upgrades that have been made, and would have loved to take advantage of the New Self-checkout if they had accepted cash. So the major downfall in our most recent trip was that many customers with cash had to wait in one of 6 Employee-ran checkouts, that each had at least 6-7 customers in each line, waiting to pay with cash. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out soon, and this once again will be one of the best Walmarts around.

I mean its Walmart. Seriously how can it be bad? They have literally everything and nothing you need at th same time. Its amazing. Also if that thing you did want is out of stock its your fault because you didnt put in for online pickup in store tomorrow and you showed up today and you didnt know on top of being the newest cashier you are the restocker on third shift as well. Do not buy your jewelry from here. My husband bought my 10 year anniversary ring, I dont like spending money so I could care less where it came from but he bought it on 2/19, they said would take 4 weeks to come back when we sent it off to get sized, came back 3/22 and it wasnt sized at all, supposed to have sent it off again so almost 4 months after initial purchase we called a few times, it hasnt came in yet blah blah. Finally went up there and guess what. They never sent it back off, it was in the safe the whole time, after a $40 gift card and an apology plus full refund they said it happens the time. That should never happen, and if it happens that frequently find someone else to contract with.

I used the self checkout. They have plenty of self checkout registers, so it was very fast to check out. The store is always clean and well stocked.

This store has become very dirty. When you go in it has a dirty feel, floors etc. Especially in the produce area. Also, they dont require mask now with everything going on. Clean up your act Walmart. This store makes too much money not to invest in housekeeping in the store.

Helpful & friendly front end cashier/CSM.The employees in the electronics department do not speak, make eye contact, or make any attempt to acknowledge your presence. Its weird. Phone accessories are Apple & Samsung heavy.

The best one to go to in the Wilmington area. Its newer and able to handle the crowds a little better.

Decent clean Walmart with no long wait times. Offers on groceries ordering and drive up pickup. Pharmacy and garden center. Overall a good shopping experience, decent prices and lots of choices

WOW CUSTOMER SERVICESANDY in the service department made my day by checking the register for my receipt. the machine didnt give me my change and she was able to run to the machine before too late and now I will get my money back! How awesome!.

Its nice and clean and all that but the lack of human cashiers is really annoying grant you its convenient.

As usual this time if year, quite crowded. The shelves were stocked, the usual no help to be found in Walmart.we checked ourselves out.

Quite possibly the worst walmart in the area. 2 registers only. Rest are self checkout and none of self check out are cash. 20-25 employees doing eshopping taking up the whole isle. 2 people helping self checkout. If yoi dont have enough caah to be open just close

Jessica, a very wonderful employee searched for the body pillow i wanted and found it in the back of the store for me. She made my day. The pillow had sold out everywhere else.

I made a report about a curb near the accessible parking spaces and they fixed it. They are helpful when you ask and I appreciate that. If you are disabled and need assistance shopping someone in the store will help most all the time.

Employees unwilling to be of assistance. Unlike other Walmarts where employees are very happy to answer a question or help you find an item.

All the staff wore masks correctly. Wide aisles and not crowded so I was able to stay six feet apart. Very clean. Great restroom. Helpful kindly assistance at the self-checkout. Very good prices. Fresh produce. Interesting wine and beer.

Typical Walmart. Nothing too special. Feels a bit old and run down inside. Food prices as always, tons of parking and typical staff. Decent selection of beach accessories, and not overly busy.

Horrible customer service. It took 3 times over 15 minutes to get customer service on the phone. I asked for a manager. I was on the phone for 10 minutes waiting. When you ask for help, people walk by you. Terrible store. Terrible managers and customer service. I wouldnt pay any of them $15 an hour.

Every is good except for the machines when you go to check out. If u use an EBT card the check out machines hate them and you will have to swipe like 3-5 times. I wish they would fix their card scanners.

This is definitely a SUPERCENTER! Ive been to this location several times but havent covered the entire store in one visit, not that Id ever need to, just saying it seems huge! It could be that its because its not the WM I normally shop at and things are in different places. At any rate, the store is clean, reasonably stocked considering whatevers going on with either the supply chain or the powers that be in WM corporate, and the employees are friendly and helpful. Will I shop there again? Absolutely!

Its somewhat convenient for their piled high deli subs and pizzas but for various sundry items to remain in stock is very unlikely; every time I find something worth frequenting the place for, within weeks to months, its discontinued. I find less and less reasons to return every time I visit beyond the affiliated gas station across the street.

Great store to get all your basic needs. Self checkout is a nice addition with keeping some lanes open. Friendly staff and clean restrooms. Its our usual go to Walmart that has everything we need.

It has improved since the store was reset. Im not a fan of them stocking during the day. Trying to maneuver around large pallets of products in an already busy store is difficult.Its clean and well maintained.

Today was the second time I was hassled over the use of Walmart pay. I have worked service/retail and understand the importance of minimizing shoplifting. But to hassle customers who regularly support your store with their hard earned money is so frustrating. The woman tried to check my receipt for a purchase I made on Walmart pay. I informed her there was no receipt because that is the nature of the Walmart pay service her employer offers. She forced me to go back to self checkout and ask another employee what to do who also had no clue how to provide a receipt for Walmart pay. There was a discussion and finally I was allowed to leave but was told something along the lines of “I should be able to provide a receipt.” What is the point of Walmart Pay if you’re going to hassle me over a receipt — the service doesn’t provide a paper receipt! At the very least, these employees should be able to show me on the app where the Walmart Pay receipts are. It is not my job to teach Walmart employees how Walmart Pay works. Stop harassing regular customers.

Nikita at the service desk needs some customer service training. She thinks she is better than everyone and throws shade from the beginning of your interaction. Chomping on her gum and throwing around her religious beliefs. Asked to speak to her manager because of her inability to interact kindly with other humans. Threw her stuff on the counter and said she is the manager. I know you are hurting for employees but maybe you shouldn’t pay employees that are the devil! She has issues!

I waited 20mins to get help in jewelry to buy a pair of ear rings. Walked to front of store twice to ask for help waited another 10 mins before someone helped myself and 3 other ppl. I will not be shopping at monkey junction walmart anymore..

This was the most relaxing area weve found to just enjoy the ocean view and watch the waves roll in .Wish we could have stayed longer.

For the third time I get to walmart to pick up prescriptions. I should be well known there I get 12 prescriptions a month. I am disabled and have many problems. I get text for a third time telling me my prescriptions are ready. I get there and they are out of a narcotic I’ve taken for ten yrs. Well guess what happens when I can’t take it for the 3 days it takes them to get it back in stock. It isn’t a minor issue. The other prescriptions they had only one of the many I’m supposed to be getting. My wife was picking it up and did not have a list of the medication just the text saying they were ready and walmart said they could not look up my account to see what I’m supposed to receive. I’m sure walmart will survive without my account but how many accounts can they lose before they make positive changes.

Most people know that here is where you need to go when you need more variety. Most of the time it is too big for many reasons. Like when they act like they are above the little people. You know, like their s*** doesnt stink. I dont think its the intent of Walmart Corp. but certain individuals who are acting on their own and cannot be supervised effectively because they are too large to keep all their employees in line. Im mostly referring to the management at this location because this was a well run store up until the long time manager retired. The one who took his place was the most hateful person I have ever seen. Hes been sent away but not before he caused severe damage to many lives. Employees and many other people.

Bought a iPhone se screen protector that came with no adhesive.

Regular harassment in the parking lot.Inability to take cash at the majority of check outs.Checking my receipt when I leave does what?...Especially when you need to stand in line to leave the store after you just gave them the time of day for shopping there.

Exceptional service at a very clean Walmart. I was helped beyond belief by the lady in the jewelry department. She bent over backwards to make sure I got what I needed at a great price. Awesome!!!

Walmart is Walmart ( made in China) prices have risen slightly but not terribly so expect to pay a little more and always buy a little more groceries, just in case.

I’m trying to spend $700 + on a grill, but the service desk can’t manage to answer the phone. Then finally when they did I kept getting hung up on. I’ve called 6 times trying to find out if they in fact have 2 of the grills that I want in their inventory as it states online. Looks like I know where the savings is coming from. They must have their 2 year olds answering the phones.

I absolutely dispise this particular store. Place is always a total dump. More carts have broken wheels then not. The milk cooler is disgusting. Many employees not friendly. Always running out of random different products. I only shop here because its the only store near my house that has diapers that fit my son and those are often limited. I cant wait till hes out of em and I never have to come here again.

Not a fan of Walmart at all, for many reasons. Got dragged here by a friend in search of Black Cherry Claws and kitchen shoes... No kitchen shoes in her size, no refrigerated claws. Upon walking in, no available shopping carts and when I tried to walk back out to grab one, a security alarm went off. Yes, I was gated inside a Walmart.Im leaving 2 stars because I feel like too many @ holes leave one star when they think they are being funny. Yet when its a small business, during covid, theres no patience for things that happen. And reviews really do matter.Not a fan of Walmart, but I see its place in this world. 2 stars.

As usual too many customers and only 2 or 3 cashiers. Today they shut down the self checkout. You get to see a bunch of walmart employees running around and no one opening up any more registers. The high cost of low prices. The cashiers look like resthome refugees waiting for their old pal the grim reaper to relieve them from this formulated retail hell.

There are many self checkouts but only 1 cash register was open then another opened as we stood in line.

Customer Service will rip you off on returns/exchanges even when you have the receipt and its been less than 30 days. Otherwise an OK Wal-mart.
