These guys are terrific! Took my fairly new lawn mower to them for warranty service (after dissatisfactory treatment by Lowes and terrible service by the Craftsman/MDT call center) and they diagnosed and fixed it in 10 minutes -- while I waited. Indeed, they insisted I simply wait because they could probably figure it out and fix it quickly -- which they did! Plus, it was only a small, nominal charge. I couldnt believe it. Im taking my small engine repair needs here from now on even though its across town from me.

I went there to purchase a new string trimmer. They had an awesome selection of Stihl products to choose from. In and out in 15 minutes with a trimmer that was fueled and tested. Best place for the lawn care professional

Dropped off an electric chainsaw to sharpen the chain. Took only a half a day at a reasonable price. Cheaper if you bring the chain only.

Lawnmower stopped running. Brought it to Honest Engine for the first time. Timely service, good price and professional service. All my equipment will go there from now on.

Poor customer service entered business .. three associates were sitting behind counter one eating while sitting there the other two were sitting there as well not once was i greeted upon entering . As I approached counter I was totally ignored...still not once was I greeted or acknowledged....and as I approached closer thinking I would get service the two right in front of me walked off....as if I wasnt there.....still no type of customer service.... so after I made my way towards third associate only then was I given a gesture to be acknowledged....not to mention being ignored by all three..

Do not go here for repairs. I took a Stihl pressure washer in that had a cracked water pump after 3 uses. They charged a $30 inspection fee. I described to them what was going on with the pressure washer when the pump failed. I get a call back a week later and they tell me that they have determined that the reason it was cracked is because it was struck by something and that it would not be covered under warranty. I told them that I had used it 3 times and that nothing had touched it. There was not a dent or ding to be found anywhere on it. Instead of paying them for repairs I went and picked it up, although there is no refund for the $30 inspection fee. I took the pressure washer to another repair shop and described what happened to it. The worker there immediately replied let me check something. He opens the case on the pump and there is no lubricating oil. He said sometimes they miss it in the factory. They agree to cover it under warranty. If I would have kept it at Honest Engine it would have cost me well over $200 to repair.I would expect the type of diagnosis that Honest Engine gave from a big box retailer, not a place that supposedly specializes in small engine repair. They obviously didn’t do a thorough inspection of the equipment and gave a guess at what was wrong. Save your money and go somewhere else.(In response to owner)This is the first negative review I have ever written, so it is not something I make a habit of to talk down on business. I will say that whoever I talked to at Honest Engine had absolutely no intention of listening to what I had to say in regards to what happened. Their diagnosis was what I was going to have to live with. I bought this pressure washer in July and have literally used it 3 times. I bought Stihl because I wanted quality. It has been in my garage, never struck by anything. There is not a dent or sign of being struck anywhere on the pressure washer, just 2 large cracks at the mounting bolts. I was using the pressure washer when the water pump cracked. It started knocking really bad and before I could get to it to shut it off it cracked and started spraying water out of the top of it (I described this to the associate when I took it in and when I picked it up). It did not leak prior to that, so it is not possible that it was struck and cracked possibly in shipping or where I purchased it from as your associate suggested or it would have leaked the entire time. I took it to another repair shop and described the conditions, they immediately found the problem and replaced the pump.

I took my power washer in for repairs. Turned out that it would cost more to repair than to replace (its really old). I didnt have a way to dispose of it so Honest Engine is taking care of it for me. This is the third time Ive used them and they are great to work with.

My husband recently brought several items for repair/maintenance to Honest Engine. Everything was fixed and is running perfectly. He decided to bring his chainsaw in today (that he has brought to a different shop 3 times) the employee brought it in the back and fixed it in a few minutes and now its like brand new. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. And a BIG plus they LOVE dogs to visit too!!! We highly recommend Honest Engine!!

I brought my Honda 2k small generator to them for service and it came back flawless and operates like new! This is impressive since its been used out in the ocean air on the Frying Pan Tower for years! Will be back and take my equipment to them for service. Fair prices & quality work!

I really appreciate true customer service because it is hard to find these days. Many times how a problem is handled shows the true type of service a company offers. I picked up a special order part and noticed one of the parts I ordered was incorrect. It was closing time. Rather than say they would check tomorrow they spent the next 20 minutes taking care of the issue...after hours. That speaks volumes on how they feel about customer service and I appreciate. This trip was for a warranty refund on a mower that I did not purchase from them. Ive been a customer with them for years. The only complaint Ive ever had is that they do have a high labor rate on service and repair. Ive always had excellent customer service and have been treated with courtesy and professionalism.

I frequently (at minimum 5 times a month) use this place to buy parts while repairing various engines. They constantly surprise me by the fact that they always seem to have everything I need in stock, right down to the internal parts of the engines (connecting rods, etc.) Not only that, but the prices are usually even competitive with online prices on most of the parts. Most of the people there seem to be particularly knowledgeable as well. I would recommend this place to anyone who is local and looking for parts as theyve personally saved me considerable time and money. I cant speak for how they do repairs, but coming from a mechanic I can honestly say that from me talking to them I can tell you that these guys know what theyre talking about.

Been in there maybe 100 times since year 2000 and had good service every time except once. Shane is always professional and friendly even when theres a long line. It is currently early 2018 and they are building a new building, so be understanding of their temporary space.

Really poor service. I took my tiller to get fixed 4 weeks ago and they still have not fixed it. They keep giving me the same excuse every time I call. I will never go back to them again.

Mixed results. I came here because they are supposed to be Troy Bilt suppliers. The part I needed was discontinued but when I asked about an alternate part I was told to go to Lowes for the part. Very disappointed in the service.

I have taken my mower here 2 times. The repair was fine, but they didnt put a small part back on. Cant remember the name now, but I called, they pulled the part and I picked it up then put it on myself. Inconvenient for me to pick up but annoying none the less. Took the same mower for carbuerator repair. When I went to use it after the repair the pull string was broken. I called and Shane said there wasnt an order to fix it. It was not broken when I brought it in. Duh. So I am very unhappy with their service and have since bought an electric mower. Good bye Honest Engine. Honest Engine, indeed.

When you’re in a jam they might be helpful. But mostly their way overpriced and not very helpful. You’ll be better off at Lowe’s Home Depot or Walmart

Honest engine has repaired a couple of mowers for me and I have purchased na commercial mower from them. They have a pretty good selection of equipment for both homeowners and lawn care professionals. You wont really find any bargains here but the service is good although you may have to leave your equipment for repair there for weeks at a time depending on the season. They could use more room in the parking lot and it can get crowded quick.

Took my chainsaw in following Hurricane Florence to have the chain fixed. Did it in 15 minutes with no charge. Exceptionally good customer service. Would highly recommend.

I discovered that the new Oregon chain for my old Remington electric pole saw was to long. I thought I would need 2 links removed. I was helped by sales rep BM and he suggested I should only have them remove 1 link or the chain might be to tight to get on., He remove the one why I waited. Work great! Thanks.

Not VERY dependable. 3 to 4 weeks became months they would not accept any incoming calls for a month recording said if you want to talk come to the store. I finally got thru and they informed me my lawnmower had been ready for almost a week. I ask why they hadnt contacted me they said they were to busyP00R management.

I took a relatively unused Chain Saw to them because I could not get it to start. They were pretty dismissive to me. After a cursory look I was told it was not worth fixing, that it would cost more for parts and labor than it was worth. Then they tried to sell me one of theirs and take my old one for a few dollars off.I took it to a friend who got the parts online for under 10 dollars and repaired it in about 20 minutes.I only gave them one star because it wouldnt let me post, but I will never go to Dishonest Engine again.

Thoroughly frustrated. Left a power washer with them 9 days ago. They said the carburetor I need is on back order from Honda. New estimate is four days from now. That means Ive lost 2 weekends. Totally dissatisfied.

Love to come here. Every time I have a problem with my equipment they are fast and friendly and ready to help.

I went here last year in april to have my uh mower looked at. they said they rebuilt the carborator and replaced the blade. took the mower home and cut my yard 4 times vefore it quit working. i didnt bring it back because i dont have transportation on hand to get it there so i paid someone to do my yard the rest of the season. took mower back this year and the guy at the counter was quick to tell me that water had wicked through the slab i keep te gas on and contaminated my gas. i use non ethanol gas. and ive cut grass my whole life. the guy also had the personality of a tree. he should not interact with people. i left my mower there and called back a week later. spoke to a rude person on the phone who told me it would be 2 1/2 weeks before someone would even look at it.i understand its the busy season but no one told me that upfront. i took my mower somewhere else where we discovered that neither the carborator or the blade was fixed. i have the pictures to prove it. i will never go back or reccommed this place.

Saw 5 gallon plastic gas cans on shelf,picked one up set it on the counter along with a six pack of 2.6 oz stihl mix oil.Was shocked at the price$47.09 + 3.39 TAX = $50.39THATS JUST HIGHWILL NOT BE SHOPPING HERE AGAIN

Ive tryed calling this place 10 times not once could I get a answer even different days iam tired of having to make a special trip to town just to find out in person that they dont have what I need.... when all they have to do is answer the damn phone an answer a few questions.
