Such a sweet store. Can a Hardware store even be sweet? Lol The nostalgia of it was wonderful. Plus, they have everything you need including wonder incense sticks near the counter! The employees are are so kind and nice as youd think they be in a neighborhood hardware store. They always have time to answer questions and explain things!🥰

Good store with a pretty easy layout to follow. The best part of this store was the helpful and friendly staff. They didnt have everything I needed at this location, so they called and reserved it at a different location. The biggest con is that there are two Stevens Ace Hardware stores in Wilmington, and they dont necessarily carry the same items, so you need to be careful that you search for and go to the right one. Thats not really a big deal, but its worth noting.

Unmatched customer service! I have bought some odds and ends here before but went in to talk to them as a Sliver Traeger dealer and they were able to assemble and deliver the grill I was after the next day, at no additional charge. They also have a great selection of pellets and accessories from Traeger.

The service here is always phenomenal… The staff are so helpful. Recently I went in there just as they were closing and they allowed me into the store to get what I needed… I thought this was fantastic. Most employees want to close the door for the day at closing time and will not let you in… This is a sign of truly great service!

The staff is always very friendly, very helpful and...surprisingly has most of what I ever need, aside from heavy lumber or very large projects. Convenient location, plenty of parking and the store is amazingly clean. They also offer home window screen repair and custom-made to fit any size window.

Heather worked on an antiquated plumbing piece for me after we realized that I probably wouldnt be able to find a replacement . Great customer service ! Bonus! Excellent! Very friendly and knowledgeable folks. Instead of replacing a washing machine boiler valve, they had the parts to repair it and showed me how to do it! I really dont like to throw stuff away if it can be repaired, plus theres a cost savings.

Went there and they have a lot of really stocked shelves with good stuff and many nice employees except one lady with tattoos and short black hair. Not usually one to make a bad review but she has an attitude she has to work on and was taking personal calls while helping customers, me included and to me was very rude to her fellow co-workers/employees.

Heather was amazing, she saved my life today and helped me put all the washer pieces I needed together. And she let me come back and pick them up. I will definitely be back!

We were there for Legacy Architectural Salvage in the back, but its a good neighborhood hardware store!

Quicker drive than going all the way to the big stores. They usually have what you need.

Great locally owned biz, helpful staff

This is the second time I have gone to have spare keys made and Heather is a key magician!! Every other place, including Lowes, has not made the keys properly or just say it is not possible. But she makes it work! Carleigh was also very helpful and nice. Always a pleasant experience here with nice, patient people.

This is one of the best hardware stores around. They have entire rows of actual parts and pieces, and a selection of the good stuff, not the junky off-brands. And the folks working in there are nice and helpful. Try it, and youll see how convenient this is compared to the big boxes.

Website says they offer fishing licenses. I went in this morning and asked politely and was rudely told no they did not. They had like a 13 year old working the counter as well as the woman that was rude. I simply stated “just so you know the website says you do so you may want to take it down or something.” Was again greeted with an eye roll. Asked if she knew where I could get one, greeted with a shrug and eye roll. I get it’s early in the morning but that’s just bad service.

Great hardware store lots of products very helpful staff

Stevens Hardware reminds me very much of the hardware store that existed in my hometown, Madison Ohio. The inventory is superb and is organized very efficiently. The employees are above reproach and are willing to help to no end. my only complaint would be the prices are too high which is my complaint with every hardware store so is it really a complaint? if youre looking for that hard to find items and are at wits end I would suggest calling Stephen Hardware and see if they have what youre looking for or can order it for you.

Most of the people that work there are very nice I wish that they would have been able to screen window screen frames they have a good selection of stuff the prices are a little bit up there but you pay for the convenience they are local

I have been deeply, passionately, and profoundly associated with this family and business as far back as its days located at 13th and Castle Streets. Their ties to the Community are genuine and as deep as they were when it was a smaller Store. Their customer service is very personable and no matter what part of town you come from you ALWAYS feel like you are welcome and at home. I work in Home Improvement, and have been since before I moved back home (Wilmington) in 1991, and theyve been an intrigal part of my life and service throughout the city. I have always referred them to numerous colleagues and friends, and will continue to do so. Both of their locations are AT THE TOP OF THEIR CLASS IN EXCELLENT SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY!!! I moved to Wilmington a month ago. I had to get several plumbing supplies/parts to fix stuff. The staff at Stevens Hardware were exceptionally helpful/polite/knowledgeable; what more could you ask for in a local hardware store?! Ill be back for sure.
