This cookie house is not the same company when the mall first opened. The cookies (I didn’t need) but purchased anyway were horrible. Got 2 double layer 16 inch cookie cakes and 4 dozen chocolate chip cookies for my son’s rehearsal dinner. All were eaten. They were delicious and decorated perfectly. One had the Coast Guard logo for him and one had her favorite color flowers.Thank you Cookie House! They were perfect!
Shelf were empty; yesterday that was there at 5 oclock 2 out of 3 cookies that I ask for didnt have and the third cookie,I was told it was going to be ready in 20 minutes, plus employees were not greeting not even one customer and just talking among themselves I had always had great experiences except yesterday 👎🏽
Usually a hometown favorite but the recipe has changed. I went there a few weeks ago and the cookies were noticeably different. These were a lot thicker and did not have the same taste I’m used to.Love the crushed ice and options of Cherry Fanta and Mr. Pibb, though.
My kids always say this is a must stop for them so we stop by every visit for a huge cookie 😂 they have a large selection of items all delicious that weve tried so far
I always stop by The cookie House while shopping, every couple months....but today when we purchased our cookies and took the first bite, it seems they have changed their recipe. Not the same at all, as this was our favorite kind of special treat and it had a very distinctive flavor. Wont be back unless I see a line out the door, because I know they have brought the old styled of cookie back!

Nice little cookie shop in the mall. Their cookies are on the doughier side and you can get small or large versions of them. Make sure you have your money ready as they have busy lines. Very nice 🍪 here.

Not sure who the girl is working there that was there around 6pm 8/14/19. This the 2nd time I have come there and she was dismissive and acted as if I was bothering her by spending my money with your company. I actually left this time after standing there for almost 5 mins of her on the phone not even acknowledging me and even walking towards the back more as she did the 1st time a few weeks ago. Your product is delicious but her attitude says she could care less about customers or her job.

As a child, this place was the highlight of going to the mall with my parents. Im happy to say that the warm chocolate chip cookies are still as delicious as I remember them, and am happy to pass along the tradition of stopping there with my own children so they can enjoy them 35 years later. The floor and the store cases havent changed one bit since I was a child, so it is like taking a step back in time to walk in there.
My half sheet that I ordered yesterday for $30, birthday chocolate chip cookie cake was raw. I think they cooked it for 5 minutes. It was very disappointing!
We moved to Winston-Salem in 1982 when I was 8 years old, and our first stop to the mall included stopping at the Cookie House for a big cookie. Today, I got cookies for my own kids, one of whom celebrated her 10th birthday today. There are very few stores that have lasted that long in Hanes Mall but the Cookie House is reasonably priced and nothing beats a warm cookie as a treat while youre shopping at the mall. They have an oven at the front entry and you can sometimes catch a batch baking. Many varieties. Worth it.
Does the place have nice aesthetics and atmosphere: no. Are the employees incredibly nice and friendly: no. But are the cookies good enough to call your mom and ask her why she fed you dirt circles for 18 years of your life: you bet your uncultured tail.
This place brings back so many memories from childhood. Its good to see that the place looks practically the same as it did when I was younger. The cookies here are absolutely the best Ive ever had, ever!!! I now live in Miami and am ordering a couple of boxes to share with colleagues of mine.
Cookies where great ! However, customer service needs work. The women working there was extremely rude to us, she didnt greet us nor try to make conversation. She seem rather bothered by our presents. She keep make shrug noises as we where trying to get the children to pick out there cookie. You need to hire someone whom likes there job and can communicate with customers.

When did they change the recipe? This used to be a highlight of a trip to the mall. The past few times Ive been, the cookies were not the same, and had very funny taste. I guess I know why there is never a line anymore.
They need stop playing with the cookies, every one notice how the cookies be changing how they be so thick and dont taste right,but when its xmas time when the mall be jam pack the cookie made right, who every make the cookies need do better or figure out the problem,
Well, needed to order a cookie for my sons birthday party but the phone number didnt work for the store. So, had to drive to Winston to place order. Everything went well with placing order and prepaying for cookie. My mother picked it up on her way to my house for party. It was ready. Well, we sang Happy Birthday and cut up cookie. It was NOT FULLY COOKED!! IT WAS BASICALLY RAW!! I was so embarrassed!! It was awful!! To have paid $50 for this cookie and it was nasty.....very disappointing!! Of course, cant call and complain....phone number doesnt work!! So, taking piece of cookie to store next time Im in Winston!!
This business has went down!! been buying cookies from this place for twenty years, and the new management sucks the cookies are disgusting now!! BRING BACK THE OLD COOKIES THEN NEW ONES ARE HORRIBLE LIKE THE MANAGEMENT!!
