The most rude and Getto Food lion in Winston Salem. This employees should not be in a customer service job. Are they aware they are there to service the customer. That is your job.

Customer service was terrible!, no matter what was happening. Service was very blunt! but with a smile, though. I personally dislike speaking aloud when I come in for a money order. If I wanted everyone to know how much of a money order I wanted I would have said it on a loud speaker myself, but what the heck, the associate said it aloud for me, to the associate at Register 1. Give your associates walkie-talkies at least so they would not have to yell across the floor to one another. Have a little more respect for your customers privacy PLEASE.

Terrible absolutely TERRIBLE. You go into the fruit section TERRIBLE. The fruit and veggie section had mold primarily on the fruit section, its just nothing but mold there or weird brown spots and I thought to myself maybe its just the day on month but no it was just TERRIBLE.👎 COME HERE if you perfer moldy fruit or want typically nice looking fruit in your fridge just to throw out in a good week or two.

Some food lion stores are good but the one on waughtown street has terrible food and rude mannger

This is a big store compared to most Food Lions in the Winston Salem area. I seldom visit this location because I am shop at a Food Lion store at a more convenient location for me. I do like this store and had a pleasant visit. As usual, this Food Lion, like several other stores, had some unique specialty items, even some local specialty items. I can tell that this location is very well concerned with partnerships with local Carolinians, by promoting approved specialty items. I only picked up a few here tonight, 1 item being a case of cream soda in the glass bottles (a rare find). This store was very clean and well kept, and the lady that checked out my groceries was a nice cashier and very well mannered. I will return to this location, when I am back on this side of town.

Same as always, a great place to buy groceries. I love the managers special, in the deli, and meat department, good way to stock your freezer.

This store was super clean and neat. The lighting was welcoming and found what I needed quickly. When I was ready to complete my purchase a manager (I believe her name was Brenda) quickly ushered me to an awaiting register and I was on my was in a flash. I wish I lived on this side of town so I could use this location more often.

This food lion had everything I needed and was close by. The cashier was really friendly, and even asked before we began checkout if she could help us find anything. Its accessible too, overall a great place to buy groceries.

Havent been to store in awhile since before the renovations. I was very impressed although it took me a little while to get use to the slightly new layout. Store was very organized, well stocked, employees were friendly and willing to help customers. Definitely like the improvements. Will definitely be back...

Prices are a bit too high compared to other Food Lion storesHowever, in some products, they Have in meats and other products what other Food Lion stores DO NOT have.Also, the produce could be cheaper and fresher. I go to Wal-Mart to buy certain things because this Food Lions prices are Way Too much

Update, Oh, my Love the new store😘. Now, I can shop in my neighborhood store. Was going to better stores in other neighborhoods and would drive pass by my neighborhood store. Now, Cashiers are friendly and act like they want to serve you. Fresh Fruit, and Meats. Prices are low now but we will see in time. Right now Im looking to see if I am staying... Be warned: A very dangerous place to shop! Its situated at the worst neighborhood in Winston. Save your effort and time, go to other Food Lion in your neighborhood that offers better service and are far safer place to shop.We used to frequent this Food Lion when heading to Kernersville, for things we forget to shop at Walmart/Publix, UNTIL this week.We started to see more discrimination happening in the store. Weve been hearing horrible things about how they handle their meat, and most recently about their store manager, Kim Minor.The last straw was our encounter with Kim Minor, plus a cashier employee who was making side comments on the way out. The overall experience of shopping not only left a bad taste but was tad traumatizing.Please ensure your management is customer friendly to ALL races! A managers job is to hear out feedback, forsee problems, provide resolution and most especially be empathetic to a customers complain! Customer service 101!I was inquiring on where to file complaint about how we got verbally attacked by a random stranger, some shopper who decided to yell about how the traffic was not being followed and was yelling nasty racists comments towards us and instigating fight, but the manager definitely gave me an attitude like I was wasting her time. I was shocked.This manager totally lacks respect or empathy to the shoppers concerns and has serious attitude problems.Since then, we definitly do NOT feel safe shopping in here as reporting incidents will go NOWHERE.There is a serious lack of diversity.This store needs serious changes and please do not wait till one of your customers gets hurt!You are definitely losing customers due to a management handled by Kim.The only positive experience was our encounter with the security guy, an older man. I think his name tag J Myers. He was very helpful and sweet. He was the ONLY person who smiled and greeted us with psotivity.The rest of your employees need to be friendlier to their customers!

How disappointing, purchased a salad and two dressing packets. Salad is turning brown and the dressings expired in september and december of last year. I called the store and although they offered to exchange or reimburse I would still have to go out of my way to do so. I lunch break officially ruined. I hope they atleast remove the items so no one else has the same experience.

Everytime Ive come to this store,they always have good customer service. My latest cashier was Desmin. She was a sweet young lady who even greeted us as soon as we got in her line. Dont pay much attention to the outside,but I do know the inside is an A+

Store is looking good inside on yesterday, items neatly stored, reachable in more places,, wont b going back for while because parking lot fully loaded with multitudes of trash from front coverage completely full, makes u wonder about freshness of anything, so I was very careful shopping for items, I started to make manager aware of this but it was 4p.m. when I was there and I was fairly certain that all staff knew the parking lot was completely covered in trash, this is. Waughtown store, it was awful!! Live nearby, and its still same way.and its the beginning of new day!!

3 of 4 cashiers wearing masks as chin warmers. Both cart sanitizers masks below their chins. Customers without masks at all. This has been going on for the last month. Apparently the virus doesnt matter to Food Lion. Stay away.

This by far is the worst food lion location ever. The food lion itself is just fine. However its in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Winston Salem Im at this food lion every week and if you go keep your head on a swivel keys in hand do your business and get away as soon as you can.

This is the most ghetto grocery store. I guess because of the location. I almost got ran over by two kids on bikes when I walked out the store. They were riding in front of the store. Once I arrived to my car, someone dog ran under my car. I thought it was a big rat. Startle me badly.

Food Lion Waughtown Street is a clean, climate controlled, environment. It has an extensive assortment of items to shop from. The employees are cordial and helpful, for the most part. Clean restrooms and plenty of free parking as well as Redbox, an ATM and a nice deli are available seven days a week, from 7am to 10pm.

Friendly staff and I was able to find what I was looking for relatively quickly. The store appeared to be clean and well stocked. I did not have to wait in line very long and as the line grew longer, another register opened.

In every Dept. theres a Friendly Face waiting to assist you with all of your needs. If something is wrong which is hardly ever Foodlion makes it right. Youll find low prices and great quality in every Department.

Always have what I need

Its a nice place and has improved but people come up to my wife asking her for money. Lots of smoking going on outside. They have free internet but it is blocked by poor reception. Any other foodlion I can use my scan apps and works great. Staff not as helpful or friendly as other Foodlions.
