Not your typical retail store. Not only is this 84 Lumber not in a high traffic retail district, but it is unassuming when you get there.Surprised once we entered the lobby doors to find a small retail display, but three counters where willing and capable employees greeted us and made short work finding a part for our sliding glass doors.Their outdoor inventory of windows and glass doors is amazing. No woner our builder went to them for the impact windows and doors for our home in Mount Dora.

Every person there works hard, is friendly and very helpful. Prices are better than big box stores with a great selection. We use this company constantly. Carlton, Jonathan and others are true professionals.

They dont have doors or windows in stock apparently. The staff are not helpful even if they dont have what you need. Whats the big deal telling where an alternative source is if you dont have it there?

I do not recommend this place to anyone that’s not a contractor that frequents this place on a regular basis. I went to order about $700 worth of various 2x lumber. All of the 2x4s were soaking wet and moldy like they had been sitting out for the last week in the rain. They knew full well I wouldn’t be back for a while because they grabbed the worst pieces of wood on site hoping I would take the lot. I was highly annoyed that I went so far out of my way for those shenanigans. Also, at this point in time Home Depot has much cheaper prices for completely dry wood. Don’t waste your time here. Trash.

Receive Lumber loads from 7am-4pm fcfs! Anytime I deliver here front office staff are friendly, receive shipments hassle free. Just make sure you untarp your dry load in the round about then proceed in gate to unload. Overnight parking allowed. Dont come with a WET load

Very helpful staff and very knowledgeable! Helped me pick out the right kinda 4x4 I needed, helped load it... They even have drill bits/wedge anchors that i needed for my diy project! Btw the concrete wedge anchors I got were $4+ cheaper than the closest neighborhood hardware store down the road!! Def coming back if I need something! Ck it out b4 going to those big stores or call em super cheap wholesale price and contractor grade materials.

Worst contractors. Pulte Homes uses/contracts with 84 Lumber for their builds. Such a frustrating experience with multiple things from 84 Lumber contractors: (1) Door replacement - the individual replaced our door with a damaged door (he obviously didnt wrap the door and just threw it in your trunk). He didnt even know you move the bottom plates up with screws to fix the gap in the bottom. I am a female and I can do this fix easily! (2) Patio sliders scratched - All of our patio slider glass doors are scratched - the guy stopped by for pictures for warranty and we have not heard back from him. The sliders should not have been scratched in the first place (once again wrap the stuff up) (3) Used markers to clean up cabinets - During the build I found out that it was 84 Lumber contractors that originally repaired our cabinet scratches (see Baileys review) and the 84 Lumber contractors were the ones that used a wood pen to fix our cabinets (it looked like a 2 year old colored on our cabinets). -- The list can keep going. I would not trust their contractors, they obviously dont know what they are doing. Pulte Homes should consider contracting with another company.

Carlton was a huge help. Asset to the company. Adds knowledge in an industry that is full of no nothing order takers at the depot and Lowes. Huge difference.

I like to drink Coke products while I shop for lumber. This place is amazing!! Will be back, since theyve inspired me to build my kids a tree house. In the meantime, you cry baby snowflakes should find a safe space to work out your feelings.

Stay clear. Worse business practices I’ve experienced. Ordered door to replace entry door on new Weekly home . Builder gave meproduct info at 84 since that is where the original door was ordered. Never received door in 2 months of trying. Due to illness I delayed process till 4/1 and hired a contractor. Now in 3 weeks they are giving him the run around. Saying the employee he needs to speak with is unavailable ... still no door. Stay clear save time and go elsewhere. Tried to get mgrs on several occasions.... guess what? He is unavailable!!!!!

Ordered a exterior door from them they were suppose to stamp the hinge placement and drill out the doorknob and deadbolt gave them all the measurements for placement and door size. Four times the door came back incorrect. Finally on the fifth try over two months the placement was correct but the door was a 1/4 inch to big because Steve that took the order wrote down the measurement incorrectly. The customer service is horrible.

I bought a door, they called me saying it was in the store, I went there and they told me it was not, that they had been wrong. I hired a truck and driver to take the door and cam back with nothing. 30 days and nothing yet? Total lack of respect for the client.When I got a puerta, I was told that I was in the shop, I went all the way and said that I was not mistaken. Hire a truck and driver to take the ride and return to nothing. 30 days and nothing yet?
