My PC was having hard drive/performance issues so I brought it to Techmate for a diagnosis.I was prepared to hear, You need a new computer. Since everything today is built to last only a few years I just figured this was par for the course. Instead I heard, Lets take a look and see what we can do. I was still expecting the worse. A few hours later I received a call that my computer was all set. Turns out it was a faulty hard drive. My computer is running better now than it did when it was brand new.If your computer is running slow or having issues, dont hit the panic button like I did. Have these guys take a took at it before going out and buying a new computer. Free estimate. Great customer service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Reasonably priced for repairs. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because when I dropped off the computer I was told it would take one or two days for them to check it out and give me a call. On day five I called them because I hadnt heard anything. However, once I called they were quick to get me taken care of. I was able to pick up my desktop in a couple of hours after that and it has been working smoothly every since. Overall good experience and I will definitely use them in the future.....did I mention FREE ESTIMATES!!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. My daughter told me her charger was acting up on her laptop. After not finding a matching charger on Amazon I called them to order me one. I took the computer down there and he tries a couple chargers on the computer saying none of them worked so it was the port. 100 and a week to fix. I flinched but said okay. Over a week later I called them. They didnt know what computer was mine and had not even started the repair. I went and got the computer and took it to someone else. They had to replace not only the port but the mother board. Also turns out the cord was bad like they said. The computer was working when it went into there shop. I think they damaged it when told I was picking it up. Dishonest and horrible service. Just dont.

My husband and I bought a new laptop when our 10 year old tower died. We were not looking forward to the learning curve for a new one. We were joyfully shocked that TechMate was able to transfer EVERYTHING onto our new computer. They spent time to show us how the new system worked. When we got home all we had to do was load the printer, which it found wirelessly. We will be replacing my (also 10 year old) computer with them soon. We are so pleased with the patient support. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

I came in and they diagnosed my computer with a dead processor, i came and picked my computer back up to fix it and they didnt charge me anything. I tipped them anyways but they are good, honest people.

In the past the thought of bringing my computer in for repare was not a pleasing experience. When my computer went into a coma instead of sleep mode I thought Id try a new shop. Trying Techmate was one of the best things Ive done. The experience was fantastic. They were professional and honest. The two times I brought it in for repair, I got it back the same day. Just bought a new Laptop to replace my Toshiba because I wanted a smaller laptop to carry around due to back issues; I was unable to get it working due to several issues. I took it in to TechMateFL and Matthew spent an unimaginable about of time and displayed divine patience with me and resolved all of my issues until the problem was completely resolved. Even though Ive been a customer there for about 7 years I certainly expected a charge - but there wasnt any! I would never hesitate in referring my friends there for all their Computer, and laptop needs. Dont waist your time with the big box stores when you need Computer services. What a waist of time. I called and spoke to a woman who knows as much about as computers as a dog knows French. The person who is the driving force of the business wont come out from behind the curtain or even speak on the phone. Any info you get from them be weary because I got quoted a price for a product and get there to find that what they quoted me was on the wrong product and they are WAY overpriced on what I wanted. Good luck to anyone who does business with them.

I have been a customer of TechMate since they were on 6th street south west, cant say enought good things about there work, they are quick and efficient. there cost are in line with there quality work.

Once time, I had a computer virus, and took it to one professional computer store in a shopping center, and the dude charged me to tell me he was unable to fix it (but merely do a system restore, losing all my data & downloaded programs). However, TechMate FIXED the problem, and get this, did it for FREE! Moreover, Ive gone back numerous times, and several times they could have charged me to an analysis, but told me that they couldnt do anything: They are VERY smart, VERY honest, and almost never charge me an untenable price. They are probably the best computer shop around, so altho theyre in Winterhave, Fla., and Im in Lakeland, Fla., I go to them. While I know about computers - and have even made my own websites (see attached screenshot), and have, myself, graduated Valedictorian from United Electronics Institute, they are MUCH smarter than me, and so my recommendation is an educated recommendation: They are human, of course, but excellent, honest techs.
