Service was great, and my food was delicious. Its definitely on the pricier side for the portions, but well worth it for the quality. (Drink, breakfast burrito, and tip was 22$) Its a lovely place to eat something light and catch up with a friend, which is exactly what I did today.
Great coffee, healthy salads, and sandwiches. You can enjoy a nice low calorie dessert or gluten free muffin as well. Outside seating is available for a nice chat with friends and family
A hip coffee joint. I swung by to grab a breakfast sandwich and coffee and wow, they were both delicious! The sandwich was one of the better breakfast sandwiches Ive had. The bread was so crisp and whatever sauce they used was perfect! Will definitely be back.
We love this place! Peaceful vibe for both indoor and outdoor dining. We had breakfast egg sandwiches and hot mocha lattes. My only wish is that the lattes were a little hotter.
My husband and I loved our breakfast so much this morning here that we ended up coming back for lunch! 🥰 the savoury vegan crepe with sweet potato and kale was just gorgeous. Everything you want, nothing you don’t. We can’t wait to come back! Such a great cafe!!! And their little Etsy style shop was just so tempting, I had to buy some magic linen towel sets that I’m so excited to gift!
The food and coffee are incredible, consistently so delicious! You sometimes have to wait a bit for food but it’s because it’s fresh and well worth the wait! Great vegan and non-vegan options. The selection of home goods they have is fantastic too.
My wife and I stumbled across this place from a bunch of recommendations from other restaurants and we are so happy we did!! The food is absolutely insane with the most delicious vegan options!! Not processed vegan but Whole Foods vegan! True plant-based which made us so happy. The portions are perfect and the chai teas and golden milk lattes blew our minds! We so wish we had a place just like this by us!! Every time we are out here, we will be back!!! Keep up the great work. Also… They have a little store in the back with the cutest little gifts and household items. It worked out perfect because my wife wanted to buy Birthday gift for our friends birthday tomorrow and bam! Got that covered too!! You guys rock!!
I was really excited about this place saying that the photos presented the food beautifully and everything looked delicious. Unfortunately I ordered from Uber eats and spent a good penny for a meal that I thought was going to be good quality. My Food from Uber eats was thrown together and was missing ingredients that was listed in the description. I think the quality and the presentation of the food is just as important when you’re ordering an Uber eats and spending the same money that you would in person. Very disappointing
This is the perfect hideout for busy locals and young professionals. I feel at home with likeminded people who care for a clean and intentional spot. I love the balance of retail and contemporary design, a must see for people who love attention to detail. Crepes here are amazing. I usually do my oat milk cortado with honey. Execution is always on point. This is my favorite in the morning because Im minutes away. Thankful for the hardworking staff, owner and all things New General.
Park Ave needs more places like this. Healthy breakfast place in a nice space that isnt the Patch.
Amazing! Wonderful vegan and gluten free options but plenty of choices to please anyone. Fresh, delicious, colorful. You will leave feeling well fed and healthy.
This places been open for a couple months now and Ive tried both their espresso coffee as well as their food options.Coffee wise Ill give them a 4.5/5. Not sure but I heard from a friend that they are using Lineage which is my favorite coffee. I always order a cappuccino and the only thing that was wrong about my drink was the ratio of foam to milk. My cup was almost filled with all milk instead of foam.As for the food I tried both their soup and salad. $22 including tip made me raise my expectations. The spicy tomato soup was good and the salad was okay. But come on $22 is way too much and I was hungry again couple hours after . So a 3.5/5 for the food and 1/5 for the price.I would also give their staff a 5/5. Friendly team. I like them all. Im gonna go back again but for coffee only.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Winter Park. I love their unique and healthy drinks and coffees and the vegan meals are delicious! It’s also such a cute little place 💗💗
The atmosphere, retail items, food, Lineage coffee, drinks, design, location, and employees are amazing! One of the gems of Winter Park / Park ave & central Florida for sure. They recently got some new super comfy seats added into the mix which makes it even better. They also have a really nice covered out door seating area next to a beautiful mod stair case. Kudos to Tracy & team for making this place a reality.
I usually dont write a review on a location until after I have been to the location more than once. This is an exception to my rule. When I rate a location, I rate it based on several things. Quality of product, cleanliness of the location, friendliness of the staff (besides the owner), overall experience, and honesty of the establishment towards consumers. This particular review is based on my one visit and might consequentially change when I re-visit the establishment. Conceptually, the location looks like it was designed by the same interior designer of Craft & Common. Which came first, I do not know but the color scheme inside is identical. They both have that super clean look inside sort of like walking inside an Apple store after they re-did all the interiors of all their stores. It doesnt look like a traditional coffee shop and when you look at the equipment they have for brewing coffee, it feels like you are not in a coffee shop, a real coffee shop. Now, this is not what makes a coffee shop a true coffee shop. What makes a coffee shop a true coffee shop is a barista which they have none. Just because you serve coffee doesnt make you a barista. Starbucks serves coffee and they are not baristas. I ordered a simple Cafe con Leche and it looked and tasted no different than my 5-year-old making me a Cafe con Leche. It was substantial but it was served on a sophisticated drinking glass instead of a coffee cup which is the proper way to serve it. In addition, my credit card was declined. I had plenty of money on my credit card. I even showed the cashier that I had plenty of money on the credit card and still, it was declined so I paid with a different credit card. As far as Wi-Fi, it is practically none existent. I did several speed tests and took out my sniffer to see what the issue was and there is a limiter in place. I think the owner realized what I was doing and she came and started to talk to me which was very nice of her. She told me that she was limited by the internet company available but what she did not know was the fact that I am extremely aware of what is available in the area. Then she sort of told me in her own words that they dont want people sitting at their tables for hours and that is understandable but now you have the issue that you are lying to your customers by making them believe that you have internet. My experience was definitely not a good one. Although I did not have a good first experience, I will say what I really enjoyed. The place looked super clean including the bathrooms. The caliber of customers was upscale and very professional. They have a menu full of food items which I did not try but will on my next visit. But as for my first experience, I can not recommend it. It might change after my next visit, but it is a no for me for now.
Food was cold, and way too expensive for what you get. Potatoes were not fresh, dry and hard to eat. The Crepe was good but also cold! I can say it was waste of $46.00. Oh, the coffee was good and fresh! Table was filthy and not cleaned to COVID standards.
Breakfast Egg Frittata with kale and turmeric ginger dressing from @newgeneralstore it was super tasty, creative, unique, healthy. Great space as well. Try them out for breakfast or lunch. They also have @belangerbagels donuts, all kinds of coffees, crepes and more.Follow us on instagram or Facebook for more great places @eatlocalorlando
Beautiful place and very atmospheric for a coffee place
Amazing cafe - beautiful space inside with spaced out tables. The coffee is the real deal - delicious and strong - and their other drinks are really interesting too. Winter Park really needs a coffeeshop like this one!
Love this place. The drinks, food, atmosphere, shop, and friendliness of the staff make this place a winter park staple. Try the fun CBD infusions and interesting latte options.
Friendly staff. Good donuts and coffee. Store has a nice layout with cool decor.
Food is delicious and includes every type of eater! And don’t get me started on their varieties of tea!! To die for!
New General has Best kitchen staff in central Florida hands down!Great people here.
Easily my favorite coffee shop in Orlando - yes, they sell more than coffee, but the coffee is just so good. Anyway, the interior of the shop is so cute, and the coffee window is so unique and practical. Favorite items : iced lavender oat milk latte & a lemon poppyseed muffin
First time here and I love this place! So calm and cozy. Super friendly people and excellent coffee. Whenever I visit Orlando again I will definitely come back.
Such awesome aesthetic in this place! Beautiful design and amazing coffee!
The mushroom crepes are amazing
This is such a wonderful little place! We saw my ex here after we had gone to a wedding near by and the coffee honestly was a lifesaver as it sustained us through one of the most awkward social encounters I’ve had thus far. Even that did not take away from how great the coffee and atmosphere is.
A really cool and elegant place with nice coffee selection, elegant decor and cool selection of general items to buy. Staff was very friendly and recommended drinks and coffees according to preference. Definitely recommend this place to have a cup of coffee with nice atmosphere.
Such a great store/food!!! Absolutely love it!
Such cute store. You find something new every time. Clean fresh and delicious are great word to describe this gem. Can’t wait to be living closer so I can make it my all the time spot as apposed to my destination coffee spot!
Drinks and food are delicious. It’s also clean, calming and perfect for meeting friends or having a small meeting. It’s tuck back from park ave so don’t miss it. It’s a great break from the coffee shop chains.
Amazing healthy food selection and home goods. Good space for studying or just catching up with people you know. Music selection is 👌🏾
Without a doubt I just ate the best breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten. I have been to 74 countries and I would recommend people from each of those countries to come here for their breakfast sandwich. Coffee was great too!
Ordered a Vegan crepe and a dessert, it was perfect!
Great new coffee place. Love the decor and shop items. Looking for a great coffee, nice snacks and a spot to find a unique gift, this is it.
Incredible coffee. Wonderful staff. Love the lavender syrup.
We walked past this place and decided to come back in lieu of going to Barnies. It did not disappoint! Great atmosphere and menu options. The Autum Lattes were delicious. The organic granola bowl and the lemon poppy seed pancake was exquisite although the latter was overpriced. Service was a little slow. Other than that, highly recommend and will be definitely come back.
Outstanding coffee, food and service! Id highly recommend the Toasts and also the Cold Press coffee. So delicious! Free WiFi and cool atmosphere in which to hang out. This shop is definitely a standout in the Winter Park area.
Store is very nice and chic! Ended up walking in there while being outside for an event and the staff were very nice and friendly. I was impressed with the atmosphere.
Staff was really friendly and nice, and the shop was very aesthetically pleasing. When I heard they served Lineage coffee, I was even more happy to be there. Was pretty underwhelmed with the food, we got the breakfast sandwich, it piping hot which was great, but the brioche bun and the egg soufflé were both very dry. They also forgot the harvarti cheese on both of our sandwiches — we waited almost 20 mins for them so by the time we got them we had two bites and left.Overall would return for the coffee & atmosphere!
Good general store, just not much wine to choose from.
Great service, great avocado toast, great coffee! $$$
Super aesthetically pleasing coffee shop! I love coming here and grabbing a latte after the farmers market on Saturdays! The whole place is super cute and their drinks are quality! I definitely recommend.P.S. I am a local Orlando artist. If you would like to check me out, I’m on Spotify, Apple, Soundcloud, etc. as “hunterdrinkswater.” Thanks for reading my review! God bless you!
It has a very calm and relaxed atmosphere.
Excellent addition to Winter Park - I love everything about this place. The food, the staff, the atmosphere, the merchandise… My favorite is iced Honey Latte with Nutella Jam Toast. I Highly recommend.
The service was amazing! I mentioned to one of the women working that I have a dairy allergy so I was bummed I couldn’t have most of the items they were serving for breakfast. She immediately went to the back and whipped up the most delicious dairy free egg and bacon sandwich on GF/DF bread! They also had almond milk for my coffee! They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. I will definitely be back!!
Cute little place, coffee was nice but a bit small for what you pay compared to other coffee places nearby in the area...
When I walked in, I immediately was hit with coffee aroma and a sense of calmness. The café store interior almost feels like a spa with the minimalist muted shades. New General does ambience right for a calm café. It has a hipster vibe, but it does not feel like the overused industrial style. Really impressed with the cafés tranquility.Merchandise selection was interesting, varied items good for gifts. I saw Kinfolk books, some glassware, knick-knacks. There were some small plants under $10 too. Worthwhile to drop by if you want to see a new café store. To be honest, I wasnt hungry so I did not read the menu but the food displayed looks fresh and delicious! One star is left out, since I was not greeted the entire time. Maybe the staff was busy or I myself looked unapproachable. Although I did not buy anything, Ill still go back and try their food and beverage!
Pretty and current. Honey latte is very good, but bring more than just your change pur$e
Always delicious coffee!
Beautiful but a little pricey for regular visits and shopping.
Beautiful store with great coffee, yummy food and comfy chairs.
Great food, coffee, and the best atmosphere in town.
Best coffee shop in Orlando. Also sundries and plants from Porch Therapy..
I’m glad we stumbled across this place! Great drinks and a cool atmosphere!
Went there for the Orlandough, Harry Potter popup which was AWESOME! Got coffee and tea from New General, it was delicious!
The coffee is pretty good! Clothing at this store is of a reasonable price, which is rare for Winter Park.
Off the beaten path of Park Avenue. We had them cater a small photo shoot that we did and the food was delicious. the banana loaf was, especially, a hit with everyone!
Love the apple toast
Delicious coffee in a modern setting, decent WiFi with some eclectic wares.
Had a chance to enjoy the $5 Toast Tuesday and it was excellent!
Tracy Liffey and Christine Mitchell’s stylish Winter Park refuge combines refined coffee shop and café with shopping pared down to chic essentials. Here one finds a small, tasteful menu, local drinks from Lineage Coffee and Peterbrooke Chocolate, breads from Olde Hearth and, unless they sell out, goodies from local baker Orlandough. The poke bowl is a beautiful taste combination of cubed yellowfin tuna, paper-thin cucumber, a citrus and sesame oil dressing and jalapeño topping chewy brown rice. Liffey say that the original vision of the place was to present curated retail with “coffee for the community, so they could sit and enjoy the space.” The community decided New General was a coffee shop that also sells stuff. Elegant hard goods reminiscent of England’s legendary Objects of Use shop grace the pristine white space, including hand-crafted tableware from Japan, American-made clothing and canvas goods from Orlando’s Makr studio.
Excellent staff and love supporting local business!
Good coffee, cute store. Staff was helpful but slow and distracted
Good coffee. Small cups though.
Good coffee, neat environment!
Delicious food, beautiful space, great staff
New General Store makes shopping GREAT again!
Not enough food for the price
Their pop tarts are awesome
Great store, great service and location.
A great find thats sort of hiding in Winter Park.
