I had a wonderful experience at Muni Strings today. Daniel and Allison are warm and friendly as well as extremely helpful. Daniel explained the bridge and string issues I was concerned about and patiently showed me what I needed to know. After listening to my instrument he recognized I had the wrong kind of rosin on hand and recommended a different kind. What a difference. I recommend Muni Strings to buy excellent instruments, strings, and other supplies with the best follow up customer service I have experienced in my area.

Great experience with Daniel. He is very knowledgeable, honest, kind and helpful. He took great care with my family to get fitted properly for violin and viola. He helped me select a cello bow more suited to my needs. He helped me select what I was comfortable with and within my price range. We enjoyed the experience and will gladly return.

I was experiencing a buzz in my cello when I played the open C string. Having played a few outdoor concerts, I felt it was time to bring my instrument to Muni Strings. Daniel has been taking care of open seams, bow rehairing and other needs. He suggested taking the top off to check on more than just the seams. The bass bar needed to be glued. But also, Daniel spent many hours repairing cracks and restoring the inner integrity of the instrument. I appreciate his dedication to service and the quality of his work.

Daniel recently repaired and re-haired 3 nice violin bows of mine. He was very knowledgeable and patient, carefully assessing how I used each bow and what would be the best hair choices to match my needs. I would definitely recommend him if you need to have a bow repaired or re-haired.

I dont frequent the WinterPark area often. But Im glad I found this string shop! My cello had been collecting dust for a decade and COVID has given me plenty of time to pick it back up and start playing again. I believe his name was Daniel who helped me. He was very kind and patient and answered all my questions. If I ever need anything else for my cello I will definitely come back to this shop for any of my needs.

I bought a viola from Muni Strings back in January, and I love it! The owners are so kind and helpful, and you can tell that they really care about their customers and the instruments they’re selling. Amazing!

Went there a few days ago to see about purchasing a beginner’s violin for myself. The owner (I believe) was great. The instrument he presented to me sounded amazing even in my inexperienced hands. The customer service was great as well. He tuned the violin right in front of me, played a selection with it, then had me try. Professionally answered all of my and my husband’s questions and still treated us great when we decided to go home and think about it. He even gave me a list of teachers in the area. While I wasn’t originally planning on paying so much for a beginner instrument, it played so lovely that I fell in love with it in that instance. Not to mention how welcoming and professional he was, really helped cement my decision. Can’t wait to get back in the store and purchase it.~J

Hands down the best customer service Ive seen in over 50 years! Theyre honest, straight forward and will explain everything to you. They go way above and beyond to help ensure the best fit with not only instruments, but bows, cases, and any other accessories. I took my daughter there on the recommendation of some of the local music teachers, and couldnt be happier. Let me tell you, it is well worth every minute of that one way hour long drive through traffic.

I rented a cello for my exchange daughter. The process was easy and he was very flexible upon returning the cello late due to COVID-19. I would rent from here again.

I have never found this level of professionalism, and value anywhere else. The owner, Daniel was so helpful and the viola I bought for my daughter is of great quality. They are so helpful there and you can tell they actualcare about their customers happiness. I live an hour away but the drive is well worth it. I heard about this place from one of my daughters teachers. Outstanding customer service, along with quality well priced instruments. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Awesome!! We have gone here to upgrade our childs violin twice. Theyve given good trade-in credit and Daniel is professional and knowledgeable and has been patient and extremely helpful during the process. This last time we made use of the take home trial and changed violins twice before settling on our final choice.

Parking is along the street (parallel) but the store makes up for the hassle. The staff is awesome! Highly recommend for anyone with string instrument needs. We have purchased instruments, strings and minor repairs over the past 10 years. Never dissapointed!

They gave me honest advice about repairing my violin. Instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive strings and shoulder rest they gave suggestions based on my playing style. The repair time for some open seams, new bridge and a bow rehair was relatively quick and prices were much more reasonable compared to shops I have worked with in NY.

This is one of the best experiences Ive ever had shopping......for anything, let alone a musical instrument. I am a Purple Heart recipient 100% disabled veteran and wanted to learn an instrument for therapeutic reasons. Daniel set me up with everything I need and helped me out in every way possible, including a teacher (who is also a veteran). He is an ambassador to his profession and if you are interested in buying or renting a Violin, Viola or Cello, this is the place!! Too bad there are on,y 5 stars because Muni Strings deserves a whole lot more. Thank you Daniel for everything!!!

Will not just sell me a violin bridge they insist on installing it andcompare it to buying tires. Recently moved to this area and I have changed my bridge every few years that I have played violin!So unless you want to spend more money then you need to feel free to get your work done here! I just need a $7 part!!!

Moving my dghtr from a schl rented cello (entering high schl/4th yr playing/priv tutor) to a higher quality rental/purchase. Have done research but still so much to learn & admittedly, its hard not to feel stupid. Drove from Lakeland to ck this store & another. It was like stepping back in time some, when consumers still valued the work of a skilled craftsman. Daniel/owner made the experience very pleasant. He was professional, knowledgeable & easy to talk with. Given the store loc, I was afraid we wouldnt be able to afford it but found him to be very reasonable. In addition, they support the local strings community & students, which is important. Glad we did business with Muni Strings & look fwd to future dealings with them.
