These guys are great! A log just fell off a logging truck and destroyed my front tire, they dropped what they were doing to help me right on the spot! Great service, great people. This is a shop you want to visit. Will definitely be back!
These guys seem Wicked honest. Give them a shot and see how they work with you
Great service
I have been very happy with the work to date on my 1938 Buick Century. Roy is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
A very reputable shop theyve clearly been in the business for many years
To say that my experience at Columbia Classics in Winthrop, Maine was exhausting, frustrating, and amazingly expensive would be an understatement. We were referred to this business by an employee at the Owls Head Transportation Museum in Maine. We own a 1970 Karmann Ghia convertible, of which we are the original owners. After texting and phoning the owner of Columbia Classics, Roy, we felt comfortable with placing the restoration of our car in his hands. We left our car with Roy in Winthrop, Maine in October, 2016. The agreed upon timeframe called for completion by April 15, 2017, with a budget limit of $10,000. We finally retrieved our car mid-May 2017.Where to begin: presently the car often stalls, often runs on after shut off, the new top is a bear to get up and down, I get slammed in the back by the door repeatedly because the mechanic forgot to order the stops on the door hinges. To summarize, the car neither runs, looks, or drives, as one might hope after receiving a bill for $18,000.The owner will have excuse after excuse, story after story, tale after tale, but in the end, my advice is to stay away from this business.
