Blackstone does excellent work. My antique furniture had been damaged by movers. After the craftspeople at Blackstone made the restoration, it is imperceptible! They also took great care in transporting the pieces. I highly recommend them!

Our antique armoire was just delivered and the restoration was fantastic! It required a lot of work including missing drawers that Dan rebuilt using whatever was left of the original wood. The repairs are undetectable and drawers and doors operate smoothly, really an A+ job. We also had an antique Chinese table that we didnt expect could be repaired and repainted to its present state, again masterful work! Great people to deal with and great work.

This is a wonderful resource. They can reupholster your old, saggy chair and make suggestions about how to make it beautiful and comfortable again. And their wood refinishing is great. Dont rush them; they are busy because they take their time to get it right.

I had a sleigh bed that during a move snapped at the leg of the headboard. I called Dan on Friday, he picked it up on Saturday and returned it Saturday evening! It is in perfect condition and you cant tell it was repaired. Thank you so much for the quick service!!!

We have a pair of bar height swivel chairs that match our dining room set. We’re remodeling and decided to go with a counter height island, but had trouble finding chairs we liked as much as the ones we have already. Blackstone converted our current chairs to counter height and now they’re perfect. The owner answered my emails right away, the price was reasonable and the job was finished ahead of the estimated time. I would definitely use them again.

Not only did Dan respond to my email in less than 24 hours and on a Saturday no less, but he also completely restored 3 of my pieces (trunk, corner table and rocking chair) 2 weeks earlier than expected. They were excellent to work with, were very knowledgeable, made great suggestions, and took the time to explain the entire process involved in restoring this table. Dan McAuliffe is a miracle worker! We are so grateful for the really beautiful job hes done for us on 5 chairs -- restoration & reupholstery in each case, 3 armchairs & 2 side chairs. One of the armchairs had been chewed up by our dog and was in terrible shape; one of the side chairs had a poorly repaired leg. They all look like new - just gorgeous. You might think an antique furniture restorer might not be good for mid-century modern furniture. You would be wrong. I brought in a Nakashima rocking chair that my parents commissioned in 1970. He is very personable, efficient and was great at getting back to me with an estimate and all details regarding the transformation. I have been using Blackstone Furniture Restorers for about 25 years and it is a master in all areas of antique (and non-antique...) furniture restoration and repair work of all sorts — from repairing dents, gouges, missing or damaged veneers; replacing broken or missing ornamental work on fine furniture- to completely refinishing a piece of furniture. It seems there is nothing too big or too small for Blackstone to tackle and repair/restore. They are the consummate pros. Blackstone’s staff is masterful and very experienced- professional and friendly. In addition, unlike most furniture restorers whose work is considered very good, Blackstone’s prices are ‘down to earth’ & reasonable. I give them the highest possible ratings.

Love these guys! We had our newly purchased puppy chew on every piece furniture in the house, particularly our kitchen chairs got it the worst.
