Fairly good selection of fabrics, even though prices are higher than they should be now, descent patterns. They need to bring back the sewing classes. Good to know they sharpen knives and scissors too. They referred me to someone who teaches sewing as well. Pricey sewing machines, only found two lower prices.

Joanns Fabrics and Crafts has a great selection of fabrics and has a good selection of crafts. Their prices are equal to other fabric stores. One could end up spending a couple of hours in the store. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They also know some very helpful tips.

All that is sold here are crafting supplies, not a single freezer in the place. How am I to do my grocery shopping when there is no freezers with fish in them.

This morning I stop by to see if there is anything I like,saw a sign read ‘“Buy Two Get One Free”, (11/1 to 11/11)I t is a good deal, so I put 3 Lion Brand (1lb size) red and 3 Big Twist yellow( big size) $10.99 each.When I came up to pay at cashier I thought I will pay for 4 skeins, NOT! I was told the sale is not available.So I told her about the sign, she still did not want to give me the sale price.Isn’t it false advertisement ?I was so disappointed with your store!

Their employees really dont seem to know much about sewing or the like. I am a beginner for sure, and most dont seem to want to help. BUT some do (a cashier took the time to help me string, find new supplies, etc. for my sewing machine, which was SO helpful. But she didnt know much either, and we had to Google everything together. Thanks to her I was able to get started on my first ever quilt). They do seem to have a good selection and to know where most things are, and I like that they have classes, something I plan to try eventually (probably with my daughter when shes older).

I have always loved this store, but lately it seems to have gone downhill. I am sure that most of the issues are due to the pandemic, and (hopefully) issues of inventory and neatness will be resolved.My complaint today is in regards to the beads/jewelry making department. They have apparently switched to just a single supplier, and the prices have skyrocketed.I will check back periodically, but for the foreseeable future I will be purchasing my supplies elsewhere.

I ordered fabric online on 4/17/2020. It is now 4/21/20. I called to get the status, and I was told another couple of days. That would be fine, due the covid-19 pandemic, if i was guaranteed to get my order. I asked questions about their inventory system, and pretty much, there is none! As the website showed very limited quantities of the fabric I wanted (if there was any available at that time, as they have NO INVENTORY SYSTEM), it is highly likely that the folks that shop in the store have purchased the fabric and my order will not be fulfilled. But you wait and wait for possibly nothing! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND shopping online, as you might not get anything. Order from Amazon or shop in the store, if you choose to wait on a line for several hours.I will be pleasantly surprised if get my order, at which time I will update my review. In the meantime, I am ordering from Amazon and will cancel the Joann order if Amazon order arrives first, which is highly likely.As I suspected, my order was cancelled! What a waste of my time! Can I give zero stars???

You cannot rely on the store to have in stock the items you order online for store/curbside pickup. I had good success a few weeks ago. But their inventory system seems to have completely fallen apart. Just had another order, of 18 items, cancelled for pick-up. I checked all items online again, and all 18 of them are showing as in stock at the Woodbridge, VA store, ranging in quantities from 4 to 10 of each in stock. I called the store and the employee was very nice, even though I called just before closing. I pointed out that online it says their store has all of the items in stock. The employee said that it is a corporate issue, and that they (corporate) are not updating the inventory numbers. Im not one to write online reviews, but this situation is ridiculous, and Im hoping to save time for other people. Its a shame that the Company is putting their employees and customers in a frustrating situation. I feel bad for the store employees...they must have some really angry customers at this point.

Medium store with a good selection. Reasonably clean

Worst customer service experience with cashier Eesha. One of the item does not have a price tag on, so I have to go and find another piece with tag on. Another employee was called to help, instead of locate the item and check for the tag. She told me they won’t sell it to me without a tag. I have to ask her to go with me and turn out all that item has no tag on. And I have to be back into the long line again and waste my time.

The cashier couldve been nicer. When we first came up to her, we told her about a deal at the other JoAnn fabric stores that we went to. With an annoyed face, her response was: ”I have no idea what youre talking about. I literally just got here 15 minutes ago” rather than saying ”I’ll go check that out for you” She didnt seem like she really wanted to do her job and was kind of rude. My experience wouldve been better if she was more accommodating and kinder.

This store is okay. The selection is not that great! Its hard to find things youre looking for, even the staff doesnt know whats available when you ask. It seems pretty disorganized. One thing is consistent across all Joann fabrics stores (East and West coast) and that is the cutting staff is unfriendly; they dont care if a line forms and customers have to wait an inordinate amount of time while a single staff member cuts yards and yards of fabric for one customer. In this instance today, I watched one cutting person cut bolt after bolt of fabric for a customer, while another cutting staff member stood there and cut remnants for the remnant rack while the cutting line got longer and longer. When asked if only one person could cut, those of us in line were told that another person wasnt coming in until 6pm. It was 5pm. Its the same story at all Joann stores. Check out staff is pretty efficient. That line moved quickly.

I wanted to write a new review on ANOTHER experience today. The lady that was working at the cutting station told me to stand at the 6 feet mark (which I did) then she asked me to stand farther back from that mark. She treated me like I had some disease. She was very unprofessional. The store was beyond empty compared to other stores that I’ve been to recently. I understand we are still in a pandemic but don’t ask a customer to stand past the mark that is recommended to make them feel bad. I work as a dental assistant and we are number 1 highest risk during this pandemic and we don’t treat our patients that way.I placed an order for fabric on Saturday online because the line to get inside the store was ridiculous. I moved one time after 20 minutes of being in the same spot. I thought ordering online might be easier and convenient. I ordered my fabric online as it said they still had a couple yards in stock and got an email there will be a wait which I understood. It turned into Sunday and still no response and I said okay maybe today they might have my order ready. And then I get an email today Monday stating they canceled my order due to being out of stock. What a waste of my time, I feel like I’m going back and forth trying to get fabric. This store only allows 10 people at a time and I know it can fit more than 10 people. Walmart and Costco allow certain amount of people per square feet of the store. And not to mention everyone inside the store takes their sweet time shopping while the rest of us are waiting in the cold or rain. I feel they should allow more people inside while still allowing the social distancing and giving a time limit per person inside.

Its a great store ...in fact the only one of its kind. I love shopping at this store and often times the only guy :)I wish they had better collection of fabrics for couch and chair covers. It seems like they are pushing customers to online shopping which is sad because I love brick and mortar stores. They have great employees.

One of the few remaining fabric stores in the area. The biggest problem is high prices. They have frequent coupons and much is usually on sale. Still, sometimes finished products can be bought elsewhere at better prices than the material. Fun place to shop, though.

You should know that the store says it opens at 9am on a few days, but 9am-10am is reserved for seniors and healthcare workers. Would have loved to have known that before i started standing in line this morning at 8:15am

They close at 5pm, ok, but when you are standing outside in line before 5 and no communication from an employee until 5:10 that they are not taking anymore people in the store because they are closed. Just nicely tell those in line they are closed with an ad apology!

The Customer Service was terrible. The cashier was rude, unaccomidating and misunderstanding. Weve been to several Jo Ann Fabrics store to buy flowers for our event and had them be the same price. But when we went to this one, they refused to give the flowers to us at the same price that we bought them for (from the other stores). They said that their particular store prices are different from JoAnn’s online prices?! When we told the manager that we’d buy the flowers (that we had in our hands) online for store pick up, they refused to give it to us. They told us that it would take three hours since there are 100s of orders in front of ours. We drove 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to this store.

First time in this store. It was messy. I waited in the cutting fabric line for an hour! I only had two people in front of me. The employees did more standing and talking. Multitasking is not a thing for them. There’s no hello, thank you, or have a nice day. I’m wondering do they just hire anyone here. Very unprofessional!!! Went to check out and the line was down the aisle.I will never shop at this store again. I’ve never had an issue in my home store.

Good selection on the basics. Very little in the way of unique or high quality fabrics. Good selection of fabric for Quilters. Service counter is extremely slow and rarely have enough cutters for the lines that get backed up. Prices are higher than they should be on some of the fabric brands, but the store usually has good sales. To save money and to find unique selections of fabric and to get higher-quality, I have begun to order some of my fabric online.

They are fully stocked with everything you need.

I get lost when im at Joanns. Each time i go in fo one t hing, i walk out with a project in hamd. Dont forget to download the app fot tons of extra savings.

Joann will not be getting any more of my money an they just lost on some today. I go to the counter to get my fabric cut and there were 2 employees standing there talking. They both look at me then one walks away. The other one looks at me with a nasty look and then says are you number 87. I said no and another customer comes up and says she is 87. So I kindly step back and apologize and she said that it was okay. Both the customer and the employee took for ever giggling and laughing. I stood there for literally 20 minutes. It does not take 20 minutes to cut some damn fabric. Then 2 more customers come up and cut me in line. I finally got irritated and left. When I was walking away they were mumbling something under there breath.Just rude, inconsiderate and racially profiled. Its all good though because there is a lot off AA who have experienced the same thing and different locations and they all have said that they will not give Joann another dime.Hobby Lobby sure is enjoying all the new business and customers. :)They know how to treat people.

Its really the only fabric store in town was a good selection. It also has a very nice selection of crafting and art supplies and a few home decor items. The only negative is that you must have a coupon and a sale to shop there because everything is priced to be discounted.

This huge store has great stock and easy parking, but is usually understaffed. You could spend 10 minutes just trying to find someone to help (or cheat by ringing the bell for framing and then asking your non-framing question). Checkout can also take some time, but that gives you a moment to pull up the stores many methods of free coupons (website, app, email, and RetailMeNot, for example). Despite the staffing issue, its still a good store. Very pleasant and inspiring atmosphere.

Wife really loves this place

Unfortunately, this evening while in the store a staff member addressed my 10 yr old son in a sarcastic and inappropriate manner (as explained by his dad). The issue, as I understand it, was the mess that was littering the floor in the toy section. We were there just prior to closing. The frustration of the employee, by all the children playing and not buying, was unleashed on my son.I have shopped at this store for years, with my son and there has never been a problem. It saddens me to now know that this particular store ISNT KID FRIENDLY, or at least not to my son. I completely understand the issue of unsupervised children left to disturb and disrupt the store balance. However, my son was not unsupervised, as his father was steps away at the time my son was reprimanded by a stranger.My husband found me and asked to speak with the manager only to then realize it was the store manager who had unleashed on our son. Words were had, there were apologies made from the manager to our son, even a discount given. All of these things were appreciated but unfortunately the damage has been done.I dont know if Ill ever go back to this store, but I do know that if I do, I will not take my son ...... which is sad because before tonights incident, JOANNS was one of my sons favorite places to visit.

I wish I could give a zero star, everytime I try to do a curbside pickup order the items I try to order never are in stock like your website says. Also it take 3 days after I place the order just for them to reject my orders. I give up on you JoAnns, no more ordering from you.

Great place for sewers

This stores fabric selection is huge and neatly organized. The cutting counter is efficient and quick. There is always an ample promotions and unique seasonal decor.
