Very early morning, I was waiting at Costco longer than my blood sugar would let me. I came into the mall frantic to find some food. Sibylla was at her counter with cookies already baked. I was afraid it might be too much sugar, so I went two doors down and neither food purveyor had staff at their counters. Sibylla called out to me and asked me if I was feeling okay. Tearfully I said no. She gave me a cookie and some water and had me sit down. She let me sit for a minute and even checked on me to make sure I was okay. It is so wonderful when a company and its employees care more for the well-being of their customers than trying to get payments or be busy setting up for the day at a time like I was experiencing. Sibylla, thank you for being on time to work, being ready for customers, and a special thanks for being so kind.

I heard the employees talking about a mouse in the store. Thats absolutely disgusting and if it is true this place needs to shut down asap. I will definitely report this

Delicious cookies

Today was my 2 year anniversary with my fiancé. To do something special for him, I decided to drive the 40 miles to Potomac mills mall and surprise him with a dozen of his favorite chocolate chip double doozies. When I got there, the employees were less than friendly and barely willing to greet me. When I asked for the double doozies, the employee gave me a nasty look and said, what you see is what we have. As I glanced down, there was 4 choices (1 sugar cookie, cheesecake brownies, unlabeled brownies, and 3 frosted cookies). I asked, you dont have any chocolate chip cookies? The employee repeated herself in an even nastier tone stating, like I said before, what you see is what we have. I then questioned her if Great American Cookie was going out of business, since there was no school today and the mall was packed, and Great American Cookie didnt even have a single chocolate chip cookie. The employee responded with a negative tone stating the lazy store owner didnt order more supplies. I proceeded to take pictures of the empty display case in shock and left empty handed and very disappointed. While double doozies are my soon to be husbands favorite and Potomac Mills mall is the closest branch, I highly doubt I will be going back due to the service and lack of product.

Disappointed.Been a fan of Great American cookies dating back to early 2000.I have a love for sweets and was so excited when there was a location opening so close to home.However,the Great American in Potomac Mills mall has consistently been a let down.Every time I visit this location the display and availabilty of assortment of cookies is disappointing. Always out of something or no shipment of basic cookie options such as chocolate chip.Staff not even willing to bake cookies of choice. I am one of those customers that will stop in the mall specifically to satisfy my craving for a moist Great American cookie and majority of my visits end up in disappointment.Havent figured out if its the staff or ownership but someone should address these issues.I cant begin to count how many times I visited the mall location and leave empty handed or disappointed with the lack of options.
