Typical grocery store, usually good customer service. During the pandemic they do not enforce the mask mandate.

They are pretty quick when it comes to checking out, i personally love the Safeway select birthday cake ice cream or was it Lucerne birthday cake ice cream it has blue Frosting swirled through it I normally scrape some of it out before I eat it, be cuz I dont really like the blue frosting

Got some hot deli items to eat on my way home from work.First time in this store nice employees and clean. I will return

First time visiting this peticular Safeway and I was pleasantly surprised by the layout and cleanliness I had no issues finding what I needed and the employees were helpful and polite.

Always a great experience, friendly and helpful staff, always willing to give the extra assistance to anyone who needs it.

The deli people do not like to make sandwiches.they passed the buck for somebody else to do it and then if they dont have something theyll just say theyre out rather than look for it.The person I asked about bread, said she didnt even know. If she couldnt see it she had no intention of looking for it or asking anyone.Safeway has great ingredients for sandwiches, but apparently they only want you to buy the old food in plastic.🤔

Grey haired women at the register checked my ID which I am of age but refused to sell me alcohol because my husband didn’t have his wallet on him. I shop here all the time and never had any issues. This is the worst experience I have had at the store and I refuse to be treated poorly. I had my ID i was purchasing the alcohol and I am of age. I didn’t have a teen with me it was obvious I wasn’t purchasing for anyone but myself.Update: I just went back in, picked up what I was trying to get from the beginning and went to another register. The guy sold it to me no problem. Crazy lady!

Safeway is pretty good for the most part. I only have 2 issues with them. 1 when you use there just4uapp and you add your coupons you get rewards well I try and redeem them and have nothing but problems with this they wont fix it they tell you to call customer service and I do they say its fixed but its not and I end up loosing all my reward points unless I use them for gas. But in last 3 months Ive lost over 15 reward points which is alot. 2nd issue I have is when they run a sale or have a free Saturday sampler and they only have 3 of the product makes no sense at all. The store Manager is great and most of the staff are good but there are a few that shouldnt be working in customer service because they literally have no customer service at all. But over all I would give them a 4 out of 5 stars. I only buy my meats from Safeway because there meat is fresh and have butchers I will not buy meats from Walmart or Mega Foods because theres is frozen and they put food coloring in there meats.

The store is well kept and the cashiers are all nice. We like shopping at this location a lot.

There is a Starbucks inside the store, also look at their ready to go meals.

It was not a good experience for us here. They had a special listed out front (with no expiration listed). I scanned the coupon to the app, and we purchased several of the items in question. Unfortunately when I went to check out, the discount did not ring up. The manager was called, and he listened to our situation but didnt take action right away. Instead he went outside twice to verify the special and finally told us that it had expired 5 days prior. The promo out front listed no expiration, so why was it still up? He decided to honor the discount on one of the items we purchased, but not the rest. I would not have purchased the additional items had I known it wasnt going to be honored. I had my kids with me, so I declined to make a big fuss. But he absolutely should have honored the special since it was clearly posted out front with no expiration listed. It cost me $10 more (33% of the items purchase price), which isnt a huge deal, but its the principle of it. And neither the checker nor the manager was sympathetic or apologetic. I wont be returning. Ill go out of my way to avoid them. I hope it was worth your $10 Safeway.

Well organized store has everything that a general Safeway normally has. Prices are not the lowest around but its not a discount store either. Pharmacy has friendly staff. Redbox located inside along with a Starbucks. Overall no issues but nothing that makes it stand out among the other Safeways or other stores

Amazing people and very helpfull .Just dont go on Fridays everyone stops when they get off work so go early or wait in line talk to your Neighbors for a while .lol😁

On a previous trip I had a great experience with the staff in the meat department. I was looking for a small brisket around 8 lbs or so. All they had out front was 11 lbs and larger brisket. I asked a staff member if they had something smaller and he gladly went in the back and found an 8 lbs brisket for me. Customer service has always been important to me. On this occasion the employee without hesitation came up to me and asked politely if I needed anything and when I mentioned a smaller brisket the employee did not hesitate a bit and went to go find one smaller. This was a great experience for me and made me feel like an important customer, and that is how every customer should be treated....great job Safeway in hiring and keeping that employee.

Pharmacy is completely awful. Several times they lost multiple different prescriptions on different occasions and told me it was the doctors fault even though it was sent by different doctors each time. Called my doctors and had them confirm that it was, in fact, sent over. Ended up switching to Walgreens. Much better.

Fresh produce and great floral departments. Meat counter employees know their meats!

I always order pick up from this location and Tom from the pick up area has always made it the most pleasant experience! I never have to wait long for my order and he is always so kind when he brings my order out. Really impressed with the customer service provided at this location!

Staff needs to be more friendly.

My usual visit would be rated higher but in this case the cashier was not very friendly and she asked me if she had scanned to water bottles and I told her she did but she looked anyway and I was insulted

Safeway its self is a good store but the Starbucks inside is one of the less effective when it comes expediting a simple order.When customers request a drink with special requests we expect to receive a proper response from the Staff.Like i do apologize for our mistake would you like for us to redo it if the employee would of at least said that I would of taken the drink and not request a new drink. Its more about the principles of courtesy in a hospitality industry.Hopefully, they can work to meet the needs of the consumer...

Seems like every time I come here for my moms prescription at their pharmacy we always have issues they couldnt find her prescription in their computer made us call her doctor when they had the prescription the whole time then they closed for lunch and didnt even help me had to wait for over an hour still sitting here this is so ridiculous seems like every time theres an issue. To top everything off they dont even answer their phones we called ahead of time to make sure the prescription was ready for like 4 hours could not get through this seems to be an ongoing problem as well......

Safeway is a staple for Woodburn. Its clean and organized well. For the most part their prices are somewhat competitive. The staff is friendly and courteous. Their downfall us insufficient product (frequently). Especially, add items. You can check all week long and still leave empty-handed. I have shopped there 20+ years.

Never have been disappointed in the meat, seafood, and produce in over 30 years. That says a lot.

Safeways order ahead, then drive up and pick up is the most amazing experience ever! The first time I used the app, I knew it would take extra time to navigate through the process, but it was worth it! You can shop by aisles, food categories, sales. You can look at your last order and add to the cart easily. Saved time shopping. Helps you not buy the extra things we put in our cart when we shop. The employees who bring your groceries out to your car are very helpful and nice. Two negatives - you can only use debit or credit cards to pay (EBT not available) and you have to buy the bags.

Its convenient, for one thing, and it has products that I like. The butcher shop/meat department is very helpful with a variety of selections.

Always been pleased with this Safeway. It is of decent size and selection per location. Only real complaint and that co sides with every Safeway. Its product placement is confusing at times. This is largely due to the fact it organizes its product two ways. Some product is by type like most stores, as in cereal on cereal isle and produce is in the produce section. The other side of it is where it gets confusing. On top of traditional placement, they also place product by theme. That is for example instead of finding tortillas on bread isle, or refried beans in canned foods. These items are in a Mexican food isle. This places particular items in up and passed three different locations in the store. Layouts designed for marketing purposes to the consumer that ultimately just create a gap of understanding between customer and store team.

Very calm during the late hours from 10pm to closing time at 12pm. Picked last minute items before Covid-19 lock 🔐 down.

I used to shop Safeway a lot. Now, every time I use their self checkout I have issues. Either I place my bag on the counter at the wrong time or I bump something when Im placing items in my bag and it tells me to remove the item and re-scan. These are just a couple I remember. I shop at several stores with self check-out. I have no issue at Fred Meyer or Walmart. Plus, the parking lot is a madhouse. If it werent for Safeways fresh veggies, Id never darken their door.

Right now its quick in and out with Great service.

There were not many people in the store. A plus for me and most all were wearing masks. Another plus! Milk products and bagged salad were near the expiration date. Still no toilet paper available. Hamburger prices have gone way up! Bought 6 items $60!

Busy store that seems to be without enough staff. Employees seem overtaxed in workload and relatively unhappy. I never see a store manager, and getting help at the customer service counter is like pulling teeth. No one is EVER available around the store to answer questions or provide assistance. This Safeway location seems to perform poorly in comparison to other Safeways that I have visited. I grew up in this area, and while going to Safeway was typically considered more expensive, you got service, smiles, and higher quality grocery items then other stores in the area. Now its still a more expensive alternative but the service level isnt there anymore. The store however, is clean and typically well stocked. I shop here when I dont have time to drive to Canby Fred Meyer. Freddys is a more pleasant shopping experience with a broader selection of grocery items and excellent customer service.

Regarding the deli department - they should know the menu for the deli sandwiches. I asked for a number 2 and she just acted put out and said she didnt know the menus and asked what it was that I wanted.

They have very good deals and exelent service

Always has what I need..even the sale items

My doctor faxed my prescription at 1pmSo im at safeway to pick it up.. Safeway has recieved it but said i had to wait 1 hour. So i wait and wait. 1 hour goes by then they tell me its going to be another 30 minutes. So i wait. Mind you no one else came to pick up prescriptions duringThis time . It is now 419 i kust got my prescription... i am switching pharmacies..

This store is still fairly new and is very clean and easy access to the items that you would be looking for. New bakery manager that has been great. Better bakery selections plus they do special orders. Great meat and produce departments. A very nice floral department. There is a Starbucks inside the store near the check out area. Theres also a drive through Starbucks located in the parking lot of the Safeway shopping center.

The lady in the meat dept is awesome. Helped me find 2 perfect Rib eyes on sale and KING crab legs. They are grilling up right now. 🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍

I like their bakery, I think its better than most, more if a selection, people that work there are always nice and helpful.
