Kitchens of Stillwater did a great job. First they did our bathroom, two years later we had them do our Kitchen Cabinets. Both rooms turned out perfect. Jim, Chanda and the contractors were all great to work with.

We had a great experience with Kitchens of Stillwater. Our 40-year-old cabinets really needed to be replaced! Even though we were doing our remodel in the time of the pandemic, everything worked out well and the project was complete on schedule. We appreciated the professional and comprehensive approach to our project. The kitchen in beautiful and a joy to use.

For a year I planned and saved for a remodel of my kitchen to add a pantry, cupboards and a bookcase. In May I contacted Kitchens of Woodbury to begin the process. I was asked to take pictures of the area and I described what I wanted done. I emailed the photos and in return I was sent a drawing with a rough estimate of $6,000.A month later I called again and made an appointment for them to come to do measurements and firm up the cost. The price went up to $8,362. At that point they wanted a half down payment to order the materials. I had not received the invoice at that point but they wanted $4,100 on the spot. I put it on a credit card and a couple days later I received an email containing the invoice with minimal detail as to what was being charged. The invoice indicated a 10/40/40/10 timeframe for payment but the owner insisted on receiving 50/50. The invoice was not signed by the owner. I did not sign it either. It took weeks for the materials to be delivered to my home and they said it was inspected it before delivery. Construction was to begin on a Wednesday but Monday morning around 10 a.m. I was called and asked if they could start right away. I told them that was ok, but I asked how long it would take since they were starting mid-day. The owner assured me it would take a little over a day. On the second day I noticed that two drawers and the roll outs were missing. By the end of the 3rd day it was clear several items had not been ordered. In addition to the drawers also missing was the toe kick trim under the cabinets, trim for the top of the pantry and there was a hole in the back of the upper cupboard that was already installed on the wall. I agreed to have them order the missing materials and it was another month before they were delivered. They asked if they could come to install the drawers alone having received them before the trim but I refused as Covid was still going strong and I told them I would wait until everything was delivered. Finally, everything was delivered and I was told they would put a skin over the hole in the cupboard. Actually, they covered they whole back with a board held on with 4 very noticeable brass screws in each corner. The carpenter then started working on the drawers and suddenly I noticed he switched to putting the trim on the cupboards. The owner came back when the trim was finished and told me that all the glides, drawers and pullouts were too long and didnt fit in the cupboard. He had not ordered the materials according to his own measurements. At that point they had been in my home 4 days and it would take another month to get the materials. That is when I lost it and told them to get out! The owner offered $1,000 off the cost, which in my anger, I agreed to. I wrote the check and kicked them out. When I went into the garage, I saw that they had also taken all the remnants from the trim as well as the drawers. To be fair, the carpenter did a good job with the installation considering he admitted he had never done anything like this before.I emailed a week later to say I felt a further refund was required. They refused and said that the amount was fair.

I would recommend KOW to do a kitchen remodel. Jim, Shannon and crew were easy to work and gave some great ideas. They were always prompt and cleaned up when they were done. I was very happy with the cabinets and lighting. Refacing is a good solution if you dont want to replace your entire cabinets. They did a great job and were done when they promised.I will have to share a kitchen picture when I dont have my grandkids staying with me.

We interviewed many other businesses before deciding to go with Jim at Kitchens of Stillwater. We appreciated the good communication with Jim, Chandra and Joe as we were planning and during all of the installs/work. Our kitchen was a not a total remodel and we had lots of ideas we wanted to discuss along the way. We love our new cabinets, countertops, backsplash and flooring, and were grateful for all of the kind and professional people who came to our home for the work!I would recommend Kitchens of Stillwater for its communication, professionalism and for its very diligent work in meeting our needs.
