My husband and I made the mistake of buying an elliptical on New Years weekend. We figured there would be a wait but Martin assured us it would only be a week or two. Try five! Well, OK, now we have it so no problem, right? Wrong.We purchased a Horizon 7.0 Elliptical, Horizon is their house brand. Upon assembly, it was discovered the drive motor for the inclination was not working. I had to contact customer service via email (they never answer their phones). Within a few days, I received a response that a part would be delivered to our house and we should contact the service rep when it arrives. That was 8 weeks ago and the part has not shown up.I emailed them to find out when we can expect to receive the replacement part and have only received an automated response. I am beginning to wonder if our situation is common. I am also wondering how long it will take to get this resolved.I would recommend shopping around and looking for a good customer service record beyond the initial sale. Johnson Fit is not instilling me with confidence.

My husband and I were in the market for a new treadmill and decided to stop in and see what Johnson Fitness had on the floor that we could test out. I did some research online before going in so we could be better informed before starting the buying process. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by a nice man named Martin, who took the time to find out what we were looking for and show us some different options. My husband and I had very different ideas of what price range we wanted to be in and therefore were on opposite ends of the store while testing the different models. Martin was very patient with us and never made us feel pressured in any way to make a decision, or even persuade us to buy the more expensive machine. In the end, we got the one that I wanted and left the store very happy customers. Our new treadmill was delivered a week later with no issues and the rest is history. I LOVE the treadmill and couldnt be happier with the purchase. Martin made our buying experience stress-free and enjoyable. Thank you sir, well be back to see you when were ready for a new rowing machine. :)

Chris was great! Very helpful in the decision process but was not pushy. Clean place with a lot of great stuff. I highly recommend you stop in and make a purchase a lot of great equipment and people to serve your needs. Keep it up!

Ive been to Johnson Fitness a couple times, and Bob, the store manager was very helpful and knowledgeable both times I stopped in. When I told him what I was looking for, he spent time keeping a look out for a used piece of equipment that matched my criteria, following up months later. This tells me that they really care about helping their customers, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them for used or new exercise equipment.

We ordered a treadmill from Johnson Fitness in July and was told it would ship beginning of August. Our first interaction with them was pleasant, no pressure, just a willingness to help us find the right treadmill for us. August came and went though and in September they still had no idea when it would ship, or when we would get our treadmill. Instead of working to find out where our treadmill was, their solution was to have us come in and change our payment from paying in full (which was did in JULY) to financing it. Not a solution. Cancelled our order and that night purchased it directly from NordicTrack. Within two days of ordering it directly from NordicTrack, our treadmill shipped and we have a schedule delivery in three days. Johnson Fitness was a waste of our time. I wish we would have bought directly from NordicTrack to start.

The sales team is great when you are onsite. However, they told me they specialized in service and repair issues if my equipment broke.My NordicTrac Bike needs some repairs now. I have left four voicemails and sent two emails in the past three days with no response.Be careful when purchasing from them.I will update this post if or when I hear back from them.

Worked with Martin on a new grill. Excellent customer service! Martin was breath of fresh air these days which is sad. He knew his products and didnt try to upsell me, but rather listened and gave factual feedback. Martin also helped me load it into my vehicle. I live in Plymouth and will make the drive to see Martin again when I need some exercise equipment after getting fatter from my new Green Mountain Grill!!

Do you want a place that completely rips people off?This is your place. I understand making a profit but buying metal weight at $0.25 per lb and selling at $1.60. Find private party sales if you want to buy nice equipment at decent price instead of inflated prices.

I purchased a $2000 elliptical machine from the Woodbury store. When it was delivered (an additional $160 charged for delivery and assembly) there were no screws to put it together so the delivery guys had to scrounge around in their truck and found some screws but not quite enough to put everything in place. I let Johnson know about the issue. It took several weeks for someone to come out to put in the missing screws. Due to COVID Johnsons asked that no one go into the room where the worker was so I did not go with him to make sure that the job was done. Once he left I went downstairs and found that he did not put the screws in!! Nothing was done! I called Johnsons again and was told I have to wait until they get in touch with service again. This is really inept service all the way around and I would not recommend this store to anyone. In addition, trying to talk to anyone at the store by phone is horrible! The staff is rude and always in a hurry giving excuses about being short staffed. Update: Yesterday the service person came and finished putting the hood of the elliptical together so it appears to finally have been done.

Great place for exercise equipment! They have expensive and cheaper options! Bob was great! Knowledgeable, not an aggressive sales man I expected. Highly recommend it, if you want to try and see the equipment before buying.

Great service. We found exactly what we wanted. They worked with us, giving us the floor model because we live so far and couldnt come back. Even helped us put the elliptical in the truck. I highly recommend if you need exercise equipment, go to them.

So far heres my experience. Sales situation was ok, Id even say good. Ended up buying a new treadmill because the used selection was on par with what youd expect to find in a non profit nursing home rec room. Got the 5 year protection and thought nothing of it. Got it home, works fine.Its a little over a year later and the treadmill quit working. Blinks, clicks, no good. I schedule an appointment, Well see you on Tuesday. - Thanks.Tuesday, nobody shows. So I call and Im told my appointment was rescheduled for MARCH... Over a month later, without telling me, because they had to order a part... (even though nobody had been out to look at it yet...)Yesterday a box shows up at my door. No slip, nothing. Just a large box with a treadmill console inside. So I called today to see if theres a mistake or what Im supposed to do with this and Im told theres no job ticket created for me... You CANT be serious.Spend your money LITERALLY anywhere else.

Horrible experience. My husband and I were in the area and stopped in to start the process of researching a treadmill purchase. The salesman - an older very fit white haired gentleman, was helping an elderly lady and very rudely kept leaving her to come talk to us. He would literally leave her while she was asking questions. My husband and I started to leave because we had to run other errands and discuss budget, etc., when the sales guy chases us into the vestibule (leaving the elderly woman at the cash register amidst the sale) and proceeds in angrily SHOUTING at us that we are lazy and full of excuses about why we wouldnt run on his treadmills. We were both NOT dressed for a treadmill run (both in our work clothes) and figured we would come back when we had a better idea of what we wanted and how much we were willing to spend. This guys seemed to think bullying us into a sale was the technique of the day. We wanted to give a local place our money, but this guy was a deal breaker!

Im leaving this review because I have not seen this level of customer service in a long, long time. I called 2nd Wind in Woodbury to inquire if they repaired broken treadmills. I spoke with the manager, Bob Arnold. Bob asked me some questions about what was wrong with my machine and then told me he would email his repair department with the information and get back to me if they could fix it. A few hours later I got a call back from Bob who proceeded to tell me that before he sent anyone out to see if they could repair it, I should try a few different things to see if I could save the expense. He then went into detail about what could possibly have gone wrong and how I might be able to fix it myself. He told me to try these fixes and if they didnt work to call him back. Well, guess what? They DID work. Bob not only sacrificed a possible sale but a several hundred dollar repair bill if someone had come out and done the same thing. I did call him back anyway and thanked him for his great customer service and promised that, if my treadmill goes out again, I would definitely be buying a new one from him.That is service! Thanks, Bob!

Fairly large 2nd Wind store with friendly sales people. Theres not much used equipment but the selection of new equipment is pretty good. Ive bought a few things there over the last year and have been satisfied.

I was looking at 2 peices of cheap equipment. The salesman was a clown. He kept playing with exercise equipment when he was talking to me. I decided not to buy anything from him and give my money to someone who takes their job seriously. I was walking out and he yelled out Which one we going with?. Better equipment on Facebook marketplace at half the price.

I met a salesman named Martin. He was the worst human being that I’ve ever met. He showed me the most expensive exercise bike they have and because I wasn’t interested in spending that much he got angry with me. Then he used my knee injury against me so I would buy something. I didn’t buy anything and thought he was going to fight me as I walked out of the store. I’m glad that I made it out alive. After that I felt like taking my chances on Craigslist. To my surprise, the Craigslist seller had amazing customer service. Do yourself a favor and go to Craigslist. It’s much safer than this store.

This place is awful. My husband purchased a treadmill and elliptical on a great deal and got them home to find they did not work properly ( the elliptical thumps terribly after a few minutes and the treadmill belt skips at faster speeds). He went back in within the return times to be told if we want gym quality which apparently means if we want them to work like they should, we have to look at the more expensive equipment. Plus, if we want to return them, they will charge a $150+ fee to come and get this equipment from our home. Final resolution was they would send out a repair guy, of which we have to wait a month to get an after-work appt, or have to take off an afternoon from work for a sooner appt. Terrible service.

I walked in the other day browsing some workout equipment. An older white haired salesman came and approached me. He was the rudest individual I’ve met in a long time and I cannot believe that he is a salesman dealing with the public. He chastised me and got in my face about the fact that I “may not use the workout equipment enough”. Very rudely left for another customer. Unbelievable experience.
