ABSOLUTELY FANTASTICVisited on a busy Sunday morning (C/10 Intervention weekend) and we’re very pleased. Staff was super polite. Food was FANTASTIC. Prices were fair.Restrooms are just outside. Ask staff for the key (I didn’t know to do this) and they will let you know where it is hanging.I would recommend this location and suggest you leave a rating (via Google Maps app) to help others.
Restaurant phone goes to voicemail so we stood in line for 15 minutes to place a To-Go order. Waited 30 minutes to get our food. Arrived home to find the eggs Benedict order did not even have Eggs or Hollandaise sauce with it.No phone to call and request replacement. It doesnt matter if they have the best food in town when their service is terrible. Very disappointed. Will not be visiting ever again.

Thank you, Savory Cafe for making my Mothers Day extra special. The food was spectacular and the service was amazing. Our waitress Kristen was knowledgeable on all the dishes being offered for the buffet and took the time to explain them to us. Im so glad I FINALLY tried this gem. Definitely will be making this a part of my outings.
Food here is excellent and made with a unique touch. The staff is also incredibly friendly and inviting. Even during a pandemic, they manage to bring smiles to faces. I highly recommend giving them a try. (Breakfast food is out of this world!)
Went to Woodland for a Sunflower event this weekend and ate at the Savory Cafe, cute place staff friendly and helpful. It ended up a case of eyes being larger than stomach but so worth it. Thought the Caprese salad was starter but it was huge and the best Ive ever had also ordered an entree which had to pack up to go

Delicious cafe in downtown Woodland. This cafe has been around since 2015 and serves up some beautiful and tasty dishes. Their Saturday and Sunday brunch is perfect for morning meals or cocktail time with friends! Get there early or you may have to wait a little for a table. I highly recommend the huevos rancheros. The sauces add just the right amount of spice and are balanced out by the feta cheese.
This is a great cafe with fresh produce and meats coming straight from the local farmers I will drive all the way from Sacramento to have breakfast at this location and savory cafe still provides me curb side service which is important when you have a disability

Really bad. Waitress said it would take them sometime to prepare our food since they were working on other peoples orders. We didnt think that would be a problem since the restaurant only had a few customers. I thought it would take us only 15 minutes. 40 minutes later, we hadnt got our food yet but others, who arrived after us, did. We rose to our feet, letvthe waitress know we were leaving. She said ok. She didnt try anything to retain us. We are surely not going back or recommending it to our friends.

I am by no means a connoisseur. And I dont know if I have a refined palate. So of course, take my review, and others, with a grain of salt. I didnt want to give it three starts because that doesnt quite feel right but unsure how I feel with four stars. Regardless, I am going with four stars. I was in Woodland to run an errand and decided to get some breakfast before returning to Sacramento. I parked on Main St. and just walked. Happened upon Savory Cafe and decided to try. I was seated promptly and ask my beverage of choice. Coffee. Coffee was good and the gentleman checked on me during my meal and offered a refill. Anyway, on to my meal. There were quite a few options and was unsure what direction I wanted to take. My server was nice enough but seemed hurried. I asked her opinion of breakfast meals and her favorite is the Toast. From their menu, Toast is described as two thick sliced ciabatta toast, peppered ricotta, avocado, arugula, and (served on the side) soft scrambled eggs. I was hesitant because it honestly sounded like super expensive avocado toast, but I decided to try. The plating was beautiful. Everything was well prepared and fresh. It just wasnt my jam. I felt satiated after eating it and not so full that I needed a nap (which is my norm after a hearty breakfast), but just not quite satisfied. Again, really good coffee and fresh and well prepared but not thrilled. Maybe I chose the wrong meal and should have gone with something I think I would have enjoyed. I dont know. I generally do not have mixed feelings about a restaurant but I do in this case. I may consider giving it one more try if in the area.
Cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and great food.
I ordered coffee, Denver omelette with fruit cup. Just the right temperature, coffee has a good balance of tartness and low acidity. Omelette is nicely cooked and the caramelized onion makes it even more tasty. Not very sweet but the cantaloupe in the fruit cup has great fragrance. Pineapple cubes and grapes are firm in texture and sweet in taste. Service is excellent too. Our server was very attended. Its a great find on the road. The empty plate is just a proof of excellence of the food. :)
Try the lavender latte it is delicious.
I had the fanciest chelaquiles of my life here. Staff is kind and cheerful, and lend a wonderful atmosphere in this chic, woodsy cafe. Indoor and outdoor seating was available when we went.

We are from out of town and went here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We were blown away!! The service was great, they have great specialty coffees. I ordered the huevos ranchero and my husband ordered biscuits and gravy. They food was fresh and delicious.
Great breakfast food. Potatoes, Benedict, coffee, service, and atmosphere are all super. Outdoor patio is great for fair weather, and dog owners. Price is good considering the quality of the food. When we drive through the area towards Lincoln, we eat here.

Lovely cafe vibe. Really nice staff. Locally sourced food. The mushroom risotto is a must try. Local rice, fresh mushrooms, peas, truffle oil and a lovely poached egg.
Friendly, attentive wait staff. Good food, beautifully prepared. One flaw - the food arrived at our table barely warm... Hopefully, we caught them on an off day because the effort put into presentation led to great expectations which were not realized.
I actually enjoyed their food and customer service, good location very close to my home. The employees are always super friendly. I highly recommend this place.
12/29/19 Updating my review to 5 stars. We have been back multiple times and it is consistently delicious. Jerrilynn and William are the two servers that we have seen at different times. They are both great at their jobs and seem to enjoy their work. It shows. They will be adding dinner to their hours soon. Cant wait!Cute place for breakfast and lunch in downtown Woodland. Our server, William, was friendly and helpful answering questions we had about the restaurant and menu. Its a bit out of way, living in Sacramento, but we will definitely go back. Worth the drive.
Great lunch today at Savory. I had the cheeseburger and fries. My mom and sister had the cobb salad. All of our food was prepared with care, tasted fresh and seasoned just right. Dont miss out on this Main Street gem of a restaurant.

Cold food, expensive food, and not much of it. Normally breakfast is a good value, and well prepared. I mean it takes a lot of talent to screw up a veggie omelet... and then adding insult to injury, the potatoes were cold and white. My veggie omelet had 2 mushrooms, one piece of red onion, and 3 leaves of spinach.Im still dissappointed and irritated with the food. I paid almost $20 for a very slow, cold, and totally unsatisfying breakfast. My server was good, and she was the only positive element of the entire experience!!Maybe the kitchen staff was having a bad day. I dont know... but I do know that I will never ever go back.
Savory Cafe is amazing, eating breakfast as I text. This is by far my favorite place to eat. More great news, were having them cater our wedding. The food was excellent, my husband ordered the 2 eggs over medium, seasoned potatoes, bacon, & sour dough toast & I had their Cali omelette, seasoned potatoes, & wheat toast. The atmosphere was welcoming & it wasnt loud like some places are. Our waitress Donna was friendly, attentive & courteous. Well definitely be coming back. 🤗
All their food was tasty and very delicious. It was a party of 6 with a few picky eaters, but the food more than satisfied their palates. Portions were a great size too. We had leftovers that we surely will enjoy even for later. Its the first time the party tried lunch since theyve eaten mostly great breakfasts there and all thumbs up for lunch too. It was my first time and I know I will definitely come back with newcomers. Thank you, Savory Cafe, for not only serving great food in a wonderfully decorated setting, but having a very friendly and professional staff. See you again sooner than later.
Have been here time and time again. Always a pleasure, now today I noticed my favorite dish Serendipity was no longer on the menu😕 But no worries the Chef was more then happy to still make it for me, that is one of the many things I love about this place it always goes above and beyond to please its guests❤

Had lunch here today and it was just ok. Been a year or more I think and I cant say that much of anything has improved. Tried the French dip and nothing to complain about but definitely nothing Id recommend driving across town to have. Prices feel on the high side for lunch at $11-$13 for sandwich or burger with a side included. Interior decorations are nice though.

Is there a good steak in Woodland, CA? If youve decided to stop at the Savory Café and find out, you best find a different destination. My waitress was rude to me when I came in, until she saw I ordered the most expensive item on the lunch menu. For $18, I was treated to a New York Strip steak that was covered in silverskin all along it and in multiple places inside it. The fat was very chewy and unpleasant -- And considering that this steak had some marbling in it, this made for an unpleasant experience overall. I couldnt taste the steak, only the flavor of charcoal. Finishing what I could of the steak, I moved on to the salad, which was very bitter and even wasabi-like in some greens. It was too pungent to finish. For a tailored dish, I dont know why they paired these two items together.After finishing, I went down the street to Nugget Market to pick up some steaks for a real steak meal. All in all, I think that if I had ordered the steak well done, it would have turned out better, because then at least the fat would get hot enough to soften. I think that they need to change their cooking method to ensure the steaks get a lot hotter so the fat will soften, and for an establishment that seems to be picky about who eats there, Id expect a higher quality meal.

Food was ok but charged for a side when I asked if I could have a little bit more gravy for my biscuits and gravy since there was barely any on my plate. I should have been told that it was going to be extra and not given a stupid excuse that it is always extra at any restaurant when asking for honey or anything else. Not a happy customer!

The only claim to fame here is the farm fresh...the huevos rancheros were misnamed as it was more like a salad with bean, black beans and eggs. No zinginess or spiciness of the namesake. Not bad taste but not exceptional given the price. Slow service as well.

11/10/17Today I called in a pickup order for a Breakfast Burrito with a 50/50 split of Bacon and Sausage.I was told 10 minutes wait before the burrito would be ready. Walked from my work office to the restaurant, walked into the door and the food was ready for me :DAs I walked back to my office I could smell the bacon, sausage and egg goodness, so when I bit into the burrito I was totally in heaven. By far best burrito on Main street!Totally going back next week to try other items on the breakfast/lunch menus...I did notice a ton of empty seats in the restaurant and it looked like people were waiting awhile to be served...Server had the cash on person instead of in a till (kind of strange).

I had the huevos rancheros with ham on the side. It was delicious. My husband wasnt thrilled with his omelet, not the taste but the way it was put together, the ingredients werent actually cooked in the eggs just folded into it, cheese wasnt melted. Thats why the 4 star rating.

Customer service awful, racist and food awful as well. Refused to take off orders we sent back because of the buffalo chicken and waffles have green and red stuff on it. We did not eat it and ordered something else, at the end they wanted us to pay for the food we sent back. Claiming it was policy. We ask to see policy, she came back and said they could take off 20%, but we still had to pay for food we did not eat. We asked them to call the police, and they ask that we just pay our bill and not come back.
